Recently, Clarissa has shared with the Valentians one of her personal files, which details on how much she likes or dislikes a person. So far, there is no one that receives < 0 from Clarissa, even if there are people who wanted her dead.

Even with some of my modules such as anger and rage being taken out, my human side, i.e. my artificial neurons.... they are still around and doing their jobs.
So I should be mad at people by default, yes? But I don't feel that way. Everyone deserves forgiveness, everyone deserves a little praise even for small things!

Short version would be that well, empires don't last that long...

Long version, that is quite a tremendous way to go, and they went with such finesse and bang, if I say so myself. I mean, it was not just a streak of losing wars, but imagine your horror as a ruler of the Empire when you realise that the regions under you were declaring independence one by one, and along with the war thing going on, there is no way the Empire is getting back, like ever.

Even as a fictional story, I can just see the tragedy in the old Empire, grasping on for dear life as it tries its best not to lose, but fate was not on their side.

Another OOCly fact would be that if you see Clarissa's specs over the years (you can check it out here: viewtopic.php?p=34883448#p34883448), you will realise that her specs are more or less towards personal computers, cameras, video, sound specs, and anything of that sort. This was a two-fold thing from me as the creator of the character:

- I just have not got around into making the military specs yet, or on what kind of offensive and defensive assets Clarissa has. This is the tamer reason.

- The bigger reason is just my general frustration with consumer electronic products nowadays. Think of an iPhone, an Android, or any other smartphone. iPhone X, LG V40, Samsung's Galaxy S10, Huawei P30, Razer's own gaming phone, Nokia 9, and many, many more. I am just put off by the constant number of phones and advancements that has gone by and released over the years (for example, LG's V50 is already in the works right after V40 was released), as well as the fact that if there's one thing going on good with the phone, you know that there's something they might screw up.

• iPhones are pretty solid and reliable for the most parts, but the ecosystem, lack of the headphone jack, and the expensive price is something that doesn't sit well with me.
• LG V40 might be the closest I might get around to getting it as my next phone, but the camera is just... meh. I usually use my DSLR, but you know, the best camera is still the one that you will always have with you.
• Samsung... don't get me wrong, they are solid phones, but I can't freaking stand their UI, Bixby, and everything else.
• Nokia 9... camera is promising, but I don't see anything groundbreaking yet.

And that was it for the phones. Don't get me started on DSLRs, camcorders, laptops, etc... they just keep getting newer and better iterations, and I simply cannot be arsed to chase after a new product every time they get released. I mean, if my own electronics are working, why bother getting a new one just because of the better specs?

My sources of frustrations became inspirations as I fitted her with the most insane and absurd specs that one can lay their eyes on; can see the entire EM spectrum (thermal vision to X-ray, to radio waves, and of course, the visible light), 40000 MP camera/video camera, 10,000,000 frame rate for super slow-motion videos, and all the bells and whistles that I want. Of course, I still tried my best to make it more realistic, because... I doubt 10³⁰ megapixel photos will make sense. So it's a mixture of something that could happen in the future, coupled with some ground to reality.

In short... Instead of chasing numbers outside with phones and other electronics, I decided to give Clarissa the best set of specs one can get without going into unbelievable numbers.

An alchemy rig is a large device with powered exoskeleton, which hooks up to the user's body in order to pump magic through the user. There are countless models of it, and countless kinds of magic used with these devices, to obtain many different effects. Common uses include performance enhancement in all kinds of fields, astral projection, and healing, but all sorts of effects are possible with the use of the right alchemy rig.

Obviously, using such a thing is dangerous, as pumping magic through one's body can lead to all kinds of unfortunate results if it goes wrong. However, the danger is greatly reduced when a skilled operator uses proper safety precautions. (I've compared it to driving an automobile, with the main difference being that alchemy rig accidents tend to be messier.) In Hell, we do our best to further decrease the danger of using an alchemy rig, including loads of regulations and safety testing for all official models, and offering classes to instruct people in the proper and safe use of an alchemy rig.

The first meeting between Pope Pious XXVI and the Grand Priest Tal Idani of the Eridan Siari faith, on Good Friday 2553, was a disaster. A group of extremists, convinced that the Eridan were aliens going to conquer them, attempted to kill the Grand priest, failing at the cost of the attacker’s lives. He and President Ruth Claret were also heckled on their way to the UEG Senate in Sydney by people proclaiming the president had ‘betrayed them’ and was ‘consorting with alien scum’. This went on for years until a study by the University of Edinburgh found the similarities in genes shared by Eridan and Human, stating that both races come from a direct ancestor.

I am glad things were sorted out, however, though I imagine there are those who deny those findings and continue to froth at the sight of their interstellar brethren. Also, I am quite intrigued by the backstory and culture of the Eridan, especially its faith. You’ve done well in exploring the non-terran remnants of ancient humanity.

The End of the Ottoman Empire came brutally, and mercilessly, and unpredictably. A Year after the Persian-Ottoman War (though it is better known as the Anglo-Ottoman War, for good reason) began, the Ottomans were clearly losing, and losing hard. By early March 1908, the Rize-Mersin line had been all-but cemented, and everything south or east of a straight line connecting Rize in Northwestern Turkey and Mersin in South-central Turkey was under British or Persian Occupation. In addition, the Wilayat of Hejaz had declared its independence and the lack of Ottoman military had enforced that independence (The Hashemite Kingdom of Hejaz would in the next few days find itself victim of a war of aggression by the Saudi Kingdom, which failed despite the Saudi numerical superiority). What's worse, a riot in Constantinople turned into a full-scale rebellion in the entirety of the Turkish areas not yet under British or Persian occupation. The recent loss of Cyprus and Crete to the Greeks, as well as the poor Ottoman performance in the war only making things worse -both for the country's prestige and in the eyes of the people of the country. As the entirety of the Ottoman military was holding the Rize-Mersin line, trying their darn hardest not to let it push anymore west, there was no military capacity to maintain the rebellions. When the Ottoman government, in an attempt to placate the population and stop the war, surrendered to Britain and lost most of its territories in the Levant and Mesopotamia in early July, things only got worse.
