26 Dead including children at San Antonio Church massacre

Postby Gig em Aggies » Sun Nov 05, 2017 12:51 pm

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/texas-sheriff-says-there-were-multiple-deaths-in-church-shooting-and-shooter-has-been-taken-down/ar-AAutfb6

The sheriff said that a shooter killed multiple people today at a Baptist Chirch in San Antonio, Texas. He also stated that the gunman was taken down.

Hope the deaths are minimal seams like we're on a downer in hope and faith that incidents like these would stop all together or at least not happen very often. I hope for the victims and their families.

UPDATE: A sheriff says a man walked into a Baptist church in Sutherland Springs, Texas, and started shooting, leaving multiple people dead.

The Wilson County News reports that Wilson County Sheriff Joe Tackitt said the shooter has been taken down. It wasn't immediately known how many people were killed and wounded or who carried out the attack.

First responders converged on the church in the small town southeast of San Antonio and helicopters are taking victims to hospitals.

Sutherland Springs is a community of about 400 people 30 miles (48 kilometers) southeast of San Antonio.

EARLIER: SUTHERLAND SPRINGS, Texas — Local news outlets report that several people have been shot at a Baptist Church in South Texas.

Television stations KSAT and KENS report that there are multiple victims and that there is a large police presence at the church in Sutherland Springs, which is 30 miles (48 kilometers) southeast of San Antonio.

KSAT reports that two Airlife helicopters are also at the scene. A sheriff's department dispatcher says everyone is at the scene and unavailable to comment.

KSAT has video of several fire and police vehicles at the church and a photo of a helicopter that the station says was arriving to take victims to hospitals.

There must be more to this if the FBI is involved.

The continued attack on the Christian faith in the USA. They go to Church to become closer to God, and they are instead the victims of evil. May God have mercy on them all.

Middle Eastern Man: Islamic Terrorism
Any Other Man: Mentally ill Loner
Crimes committed by Muslims will be proof of a pan-Islamic plot and Islam's inherent evil. On the other hand, crimes committed by non-Muslims will merely be the acts of mentally ill lone wolves who do not represent their professed belief system at all.
The probability of someone secretly participating in homosexual acts is directly proportional to the frequency and loudness of their publicly professed disapproval and/or disgust for homosexuality.
If Donald Trump accuses an individual of malfeasance without evidence, it is almost a certainty either he or someone associated with him has in fact committed that very same malfeasance to a greater degree.

BBC News has photos of FBI at the scene.

County official tells CNN he was told more than 20 killed and 20 wounded in Texas church attack, but it's unconfirmed.

Now what will your statement say if the shooter is determined to have been a parishioner?

Oooh, good thinking. That'll solve a lot of problems.

I seem to recall that the last shooting in a church was a racist attack rather than an attack on Christians. But I'm sure you know exactly what the intentions of this shooter were.

I predict a sermon on mental health and the need to address it.

Literally no reason to change the statement if that's the case.

They're still considered Christian in the same way Catholics and Orthodox consider each other Christian.

The FBI and Texas Rangers have secured the area around the church and are investigating.

Gun control?

What gun control?
Peter Kropotkin wrote, “We accustom ourselves and our children to hypocrisy, to the practice of a double-faced morality. And since the brain is ill at ease among lies, we cheat ourselves with sophistry. Hypocrisy and sophistry become the second nature of the civilized man. But a society cannot live thus; it must return to truth or cease to exist.” The Conquest of Bread (1892)
