Economic Reform in Sakaryata

The Democratic Republic of Sakaryata institutes the following policy changes.

Code 1 :- Businesses from countries that do not have diplomatic relations with Sakaryata are barred from participating in any economic activity in the country.

Code 2 :- Income tax is a national direct tax for all businesses, organisations, individuals and miscellaneous entities. The rates are revised every year in January at the beginning of the fiscal year. The returns are to be filed annually. The tax rates are aligned with the entity's income.

Code 3 :- All domestic and international investors can invest in any registered equity market in Sakaryata, most prominently the Sakaryatan National Stock Exchange. Domestic investors have to file regular income tax on income from equity markets. International investors have to pay additional 8% cess on selling stocks.International investment consolidated under FPI will get cess exemption. FPI investment must be at least 5 billion Sarkyas.

Code 4 :-Bracket 1- Sakaryata permits 96% FDI in the following economic sectors-

3)Automobile manufacturing
4)Banking and E-payments
5)NBFS and allied E-services
6)Healthcare
7)Education
8)Hospitality
9)Commercial Shipbuilding
10)Chemicals
11)Textiles
12)Pharmaceuticals
13)IT, ITES, ITEP
14)Biotechnology
15)Nanotechnology
16)Robotics
17)Civil aviation
18)Mining
19)Infrastructure
20)Transportation
21)Telecommunications
22)Digital Services and Gateways
23)Consumer technology
24)R & D (technology transfer must be done within 10-18 years of acquiring patent)
25)Steel making
26)Mineral processing
27)Energy
28)Cement
29)Farming
30)Fishery
31)Poultry
32)Furniture
33)E-commerce (B2B/B2C/C2C)

Bracket 2- Sakaryata further permits 33% FDI in the following economic sectors.

1)Defence
2)Aerospace
3)Water Supply
4)Forestry
5)Cultural handicrafts (partnership to be done with unions)
6)Environmental services

Bracket 3- A business may register within one or more sectors of bracket 1 or of bracket 2 but cannot apply for cross bracket registration.

Code 5 :- Any business commencing or expanding operations to a new sector must have clearance from the following institutions -

1)Ministry of Commerce and Industry
2)Ministry of Health and Public Safety
3)Ministry of Environmental affairs
4)Ministry of Logistics
