The Endless Empire was founded just over twenty-two centuries ago by Arcadian Sol I., ending the simmering conflict among the Pralgadian former colonies of the First Empire beyond the sea. (This period was known as the Age of Chaos, and lasted almost five hundred years from the collapse of the First Empire to the founding of the Second.)

In the two thousand years since then, from the late bronze age to the end of scarcity and mortality, the Empire has at times been compassionate and at other times vile (lately mostly the former, thankfully), and has won great victories and suffered ignominious defeats, but it has never fractured.

Greater Dresden carved out of the old Prussian Empire, we exist after a civil war divide the Empire. We broke free after thousands were slaughtered by the intervening Poles. Are nation founded one-hundred forty eight years ago will come to be a power in Central Europe.

The modern Empire is the result of the royal union of the Kingdom of Estainia and Kingdom of Alisonia, it could fragment at any time due to the fact we didn't systematically murder the fuck out of annul other lines' claims.

[National American Union]

November 3rd 1934, the American Union State of Lousiana, Arkansas, Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, Florida and South Carolina, guided by President Huey P. Long, broke away from the United States to pursue an independent free nation where every man was a king.

[Stellar Colonies]

Originally, the colonizing fleets sent out from Sol and its colonies were limited to below the speed of light, with wormhole generation being too difficult to be practical. Later on however, the discovery of an alien wormhole network allowed faster colonization and travel within human space, which led to increased cooperation between the star-states (Like a city-state, but across a star system).

With the knowledge that a full union into a single country would be monumental and unrealistic, the choice was to establish a Confederacy instead (Sort of like a cross between the EU and UN, more united than the UN but not as much as the EU). The Confederacy was created as a united band of colonies, but not a full-blown country. United (mostly) as a species, humanity colonized and conquered nearly a third of the Milky Way galaxy, fighting numerous wars within and without. The most dramatic of those wars was the one against the Warriors of [UNTRANSLATABLE], in which the Confederacy and two other alien civilizations "worked together" (More like independently fought it and not fight each other) to halt their imperial expansion and wipe them out. The main war ended with the devastation of their home planet, although the extermination of Warrior refugees still slowly continues to this day.

At present, the expansion within the galaxy has stalled almost completely, with any further colonization beyond its borders happening in the halo and other galaxies. Over time, humanity itself has slowly evolved, adapting to value cooperation over competition as the former allowed more children to be raised in a stable environment.

Mostly for Nostalgia, Soviet Krussia was a country I created for a project way way back during middle school.

[Vensaya]

Vensaya was founded after seceding from a country known as Xeopa. After secession, Xeopa attempted to re-annex the Republic, leading to several years of bloody war. Eventually, a ceasefire and eventual treaty was passed. After the treaty, both peoples on both sides continue to live in peace to this day, although relations between the two countries remains icy on the Vensayan side due to the atrocities committed by the Xeopan military and government.

The nation was founded in order to provide freedom for the Vensayan people, who were viciously oppressed during the reigns of Xeopan leaders Michael Soehata and his predecessors.

[TURTLESHROOM II]

TurtleShroom was founded in 1796 AD by the unification of the Anglo-Russian human Missionary colony and the non-human Turtle and Mushroom Khanates into one state. The Constitution of TurtleShroom was drafted by Church clergymen (mostly Protestant Baptist but also Russian Old Believer Orthodox) under the direction of Jones Found, our nation's founder.

The humans in TurtleShroom arrived in 1600 AD as a refuge for Russian and English Protestants, with the former being expelled after the Time of Troubles in Russia. They prolestyzed to the non-humans and successfully managed to convert them en masse.

[Shurjah]

Originally the island our country is on was the farthest East outpost for the Berbers until it was invaded by the Egyptians and was eventually taken over by the Greeks then the Persian Achaemenid empire. The Roman empire then held the island until it's fall and the island was absorbed by the Byzantine Empire until the Islamic Conquest. After the Islamic Conquest the elite of the Ummayyads maintained a strong presence here as well as another tribe from the southeastern Arabian peninsula which some claim named the island Shurjah/Sharjah which is the way "Sharq" meaning east and is also the name of their homeland in Arabia is pronounced in their dialect of Arabic. The island was also reffered to as such by the Ummayyad empire in Spain and later the Almoravids and Almohads kept this name. Another theory about the name is an alternate pronunciation of Shibak meaning window in Arabic and the other popular theory is that the island was named Shajarah meaning tree but the named altered over time from the various controllers of the island after the Ummayyad decline.

The island was always an important outpost for trade, fishing, and considered tactically beneficial in naval warfare.

[Jeltronia]

In 1866, a combination of the Emperor's desire to distribute lands to other members of the Imperial family, and the rising sentiment of Jeltronian nationalism which grew since Jeltronia's elevation as a Kingdom, prompted the Emperor to grant Jeltronia it's independence. On January 20, 1867, the same day the colony was established and dedicated to Saint John some 400 years ago, Jeltronia was declared an independent country. The crown, while held by the same Monarch, was now a separate dignity no longer beholden to the Imperial crown of Nabetseica. The Emperor will continue to occupy the throne until a year later when it will be granted to the 2nd Duke of Stephen Stwell, a first cousin of the Emperor.

[Zalarath]

Since ancient times Zalarathians have lived in the Korveg Region and the surrounding islands. In 1723 Bjørzo Dnelazo, our national hero wrote "A Calling for a Unified Zalarath." In this book, he outlined his case for a unified nation-state that united all Zalarathias. Since the Zalarathian cultural awakening (starting in 1593 with the death of Zalkad Maer) Zalarathians have mostly been following the religion of Zalrathism. Zalrathism calls for all Zalarathians to recognize their special place on the earth and to ascend their people to a higher level. After Dnelazo's book spread throughout Zalarathian lands people began uprsings. At the time, Zalarathians only had control of the lands on the Gulf of Pashax. Dnelzo began to mobalize troops and by 1730 all of the Korveg mainland of majority Zalarthians had been taken. Then the Southern Islands were taken and Norzak island and the rest of Pherziok were under Dnelazo's control by 1735. In 1737, Dnelazo amassed an invasion of the majority Zalarathian southern portion of Prek island. It was in this invasion that Dnelazo died and General Zala Kan began to lead the troops. By 1738, Zalarath had total control of southern Prek Island. At this point the only majority Zalarathian land not under Zalarathian control was the south eastern portion of Orkaz Island. In 1742, Zalarath purchased the portion of the island. So far the nation has succeded in it's goal of ascending the Zalarathian people to great heights.

Originally our nation was called Sagala and was established as a Diadochus regime that claimed the eastern part of the empire of Alexander the Great (on the north-western borders of India). Unlike the other hellenistic states it was not conquered by Roman Empire or Sassanid Iran and was able to maintain it's independence.
It gained its modern name, social structure and ideology in the year of 266 AD after the Great Apellaiios Revolution, that resulted in Chrysian monarchy being overthrown.

[Cirulia]

Cirulia was originally founded as a small settlement on the River Cirul in 812 BK (Before Kingdom - 812 years before the AKE calendar), however it grew to be a large town and important trading city in what is now called the Cirulian peninsula. A war between the two dominant powers in the region, the Albans and the Sarranians lead to the collapse of both of their empires. In the next decade, Cirulia swallowed up many of the successor states, controlling all of central Cirulia. Eventually, the Kingdom of Cirulia was formed, as the island of Vetria was conquered in 42 AKE (Age of the Kingdom and Empire). The Cirulian Kingdom expanded, annexing two distinct regions; Sirguniya (now Sirguniya, Ramatayim, Bea Tavei and Seveya) and Khareus (now Kharitomenei, Arachova, Paleos, Paneaka, Vorinea and Asvaka). The Cirulian Empire was proclaimed in 337 AKE after these great military conquests, however the Empire did not last long. A new standardized calendar was introduced, starting at 1 SE (352 AKE). In 195 SE, the Republicans, a faction of nobles, farmers and merchants in the Imperial Assembly rose up and declared the Cirulian Republic, a federal, Peninsula-Centric republic. Gone were the days of the old provinces (Cirul, Vetria, Sirguniya and Khareus), and in were the 18 regions (later expanded to 20 with the conquest of the islands of Haras and Ersora). The Civil War ended in 209 SE, and lead by Larth Aris, an interim government reigned while the Republic was rebuilt over the next 7 years.

[The Connwe]

It started out as a community building project by a group of friends sharing an enthusiasm for Old Connwe history and culture, growing into a small but thriving community.

The Connwe people go back hundreds of thousands of Foundation Years on Nerwembebwe, as well as hundreds of FY as a part of the Foundation itself. When we were contacted by the Foundation we were only just beginning to reach out into space; Although we had expected alien life to look very different, the first people that made contact with us did in fact look very similar (if nearly double our height and much paler than us!). Many years after this first contact, after decades of co-operation and friendly diplomatic relations with the Foundation, we were ourselves invited to join. Many of us accepted, and many declined. Those that accepted were invited to move to Thark, an orbital ring habitat which had recently been constructed in a nearby solar system. The ring was already inhabited by many "Foundies", including groups that we'd never seen before (some shorter or taller than those we'd already encountered, with different coloured skin/eyes/hair, different numbers of digits on hands, and so on) and also many non-human aliens and sapient machinery.

Within five years of our joining the Foundation, roughly 4/5 citizens from Nerwembebwe had moved to Thark. Some had already moved on from Thark towards other Foundation orbitals, or onto the vast city ships which constantly move around Foundation space. Nerwembebwe itself was now effectively a Foundation outpost.

97 FY ago The Connwe Project was launched - a ship of around 20 Connwe cultural & historical enthusiasts (and several thousand embryos) set a course for the orbital ring Candara, in the Menenlembe system. The ring was home to vast oceans and forests full of sapient creatures but had room for a technological, plains-based civilisation. Jwembe was built around the ship which took them there and the embryos were slowly fertilised, grown and introduced to our new community. We now have around 9,000 permanent residents (nearly all Connwe) and we have between 200 & 300 visitors at any one time. We maintain great relations with the Foundation, with the people still on Nerwembebwe, and with several non-human civilisations which have outposts within local space. Our citizens are encouraged to explore Foundation Space when they reach their maturity, and many decide to leave our community altogether although a slim majority do still choose to return as of right now.

[Unempathetic Dictators]

After being in exile for over 2000 years, these people, who had retained their identity in the midst of persecution and fear of death returned to their ancient homeland and established a democratic nation named 'Israel'. These people, after many conflicts with the Arab nations finally conquered them creating a unified middle east, what the Iraqis wanted in 1948, but not how they envisioned it. After this successful conquest an Arab confederacy formed in the Sinai peninsula using typical Arab methods, blackmail, backstabbing and bribery to create a strong Arab voice in the Knesset. These were crushed after a long and hard battle however, Russia, not pleased with the state of affairs, moved into the middle-east for security of the Suez canal and Oil pipelines. This they did. After this they blockaded the Suez Canal, Red Sea and gulf of Aqaba, and attacked Egypt with the help of Ethiopia and Libya, they then moved naval units through the captured Dardanelles into the Mediterranean and blockaded the Israeli coast, after a call from the Mufti to rise up in arms, the Arabs revolted and Israel fled, forming for themselves a haven in the Judean Highlands. After years of oppression the radical Maccabees waged war on the Arab and Russian confederacy and retook the holy city of Jerusalem and the ancient port of Haifa, they rebuilt Tel Aviv-Jaffa and established a psychotic dictatorial government who oppressed the Arabs and drove them from the land, Russia split into many regions after political unrest and the Arabs fled. The state of Israel again reached its ancient boundaries, reaching from the river Euphrates in the north, to the Nile in the south, becoming a new nation under the glory of Solomon's empire.

[Revanist Military Republic]

Revanist Military Republic was founded when the Supreme Leader have the rank comparable to the oldest prince of a monarchy. His Majesty, at the time, was dying of an unknown sickness that cannot be cured even with the most advanced and experimental medicine available to Lemuria. When it comes to pick for a new leader in Lemuria, it is definitely absolute monarchy with His Highness replacing His Majesty. But His Majesty insisted that not His Highness will replace him, but the Supreme Leader (at that time his rank in Lemuria was Covenant of the Lemuria, which was the highest in terms of military, and the second largest in politics. Obtaining this rank was super rare, and was only awarded to 5 receipients in Lemuria's 5 million long history). When His Majesty died, it was stated that the Supreme Leader will succeed him, but insisted and the royal family seperated from the government. This was known as the Royal Revolution.

On Royal Revolution, majority of the people aligned themselves with the royal family, due to the extreme propaganda imposed by the family for millions of years. This, in turn, started another civil war and greatly outnumbering the Supreme Leader's forces. The turning tide of the revolution to turn to the Supreme Leader, was the seizure of the biggest cloning facility, which was responsible for 80% of the royal family's forces. Many years later, the royal family was at it's knees at the Battle of Jorga, where the entire royal family was imprisoned at the state of Jorga.

The main reason why it was founded because it is the will of the previous leader of the Lemuria, His Majesty, to succeed him in his place. But the royal family insisted, and so war began.

I will not tell the full history of the nation, but this is the Pre-Revanist Era as we speak.

[The United Universe]

The United Universe was a small, ill-fated project, to create a socialist republic on a small island that could administer the entire universe. After its fall to the boneyard, a year later, our creator tried again with [nation]Flying Eagles[/nation]. Eventually, he realized that he could readminister this country, and brought us up as the exprienced, older, now economic powerhouse under the socialist, WA member, Flying Eagles.

[The Snazzylands]

A king arrived from far away
and he wanted a new place to stay.
So he dished out some lesions
and conquered some regions
and built a kingdom in a day.

The new king hated Snazzy soufflé
and he tried to ban anime.
Being shocked by this madness,

and left his body outside to decay.

and what left of royalism was heads,
so people built a government
but there still was lots of argument
so a few more traitors were shot dead.

From land plagued by foreign tyranny,
grew a nation rooted in liberty.
It sought progress and peace
after cleaning the streets
then looked for more countries to free.

[Darussalam]

A millenarian coalition of Tahiri and Sibghati congregation proclaimed the establishment of the "second commonwealth of believers" in 1576, shortly after the last Darrasid caliph, Hisham VII, succumbed to the Scarlet Plague, thereby wiping out the known line of the dying caliphal family. A Tahiri preacher and jurist, Muhammad ibn Abdillah, was declared as the Mahdi in the mountain-city of Aluwwas. This marked the height of the Islah -- religious reform, spearheaded by heterodox radical voluntaryist preachers operating from cosmopolitan cities in northeastern seaboard against the receding feudalism of hinterland's iqta lords. Nevertheless, the feudal warlords largely persist and appoint among themselves commanders of the faithful in the period known as the Anarchy of Samarra.

In 1581, the Mahdi appointed a successor (خَليفة‎ khalīfah), before disappearing into mystical Occultation. The successor, anointed with the regnal title al-Mustakfi bi-llah, pronounced a fatwa that declares holy war against the iqta lords. The warlord and self-proclaimed Commander of the Faithful, Amir ud-Dawla, was unceremoniously dethroned and (according to Tahiri-Sibghati records) defenestrated from the caliphal balcony into a pile of manure. The coalition then proceeded to abolish the already-declining feudal order throughout Darussalam. In 1617, al-Mustakfi oversaw the establishment of Dar al-Mazalim (House of Grievances), precursor of the present-day Universal Tribunal of Justice.

[Stroulia]

Stroulia was originally a colony of the British Empire, from 11566 to 11900. Over that time, the colonists living in Stroulia felt a sense of unique identity, feeling less British and more Stroulian. In 11900, Stroulia was established as an independent Kingdom in the British Commonwealth. However, after years of a failing economy and the political system becoming corrupted, the military overthrew the government in 11936 and declared itself a republic, breaking its ties to the United Kingdom. From 11936 to 11957, a military junta took complete control over the state and the lives of Stroulians, a junta considered even more corrupt and stagnating the economy even further. By late 11957, the glass finally broke, and civil war erupted. The Stroulian Civil War lasted until 11968, leading to victory for the opposition forces, a new democratic government taking power, and forming the modern state of Stroulia today.

[Imperial Paleoworld Germania]

Germany was founded as a result of the resounding victory over France in 1871 and the seizure of Alsace-Lorraine, leading to the proclamation of King Wilhelm of Prussia as the new Kaiser of a unified nation. It was the final result of decades of political machinations, sociopolitical struggles, and war with three different nations on Prussia's part, resulting in most of the disparate German states becoming a single country after centuries of strife and division.

[Ozmenistan]

Ozmenistan was founded in 1922.

It was created by monarchists who were unhappy with Atatürk's abolition of the Ottoman monarchy, and so split off from Turkey. When the Republic of Turkey was proclaimed in 1923, Ozmenistan had already established its own spin-off monarchy, ruled bu a sultan.

In 1949, the country was annexed by the Soviet Union, an event which was part of the reason for Turkey joining NATO, for security purposes, in 1952. It was only in 1990 that Ozmenistan was able to finally secure its independence, and though many wanted to re-join the Turkish "motherland" at that point, the country's leadership ultimately opted for it to remain an independent country. Mostly thanks to decades of Soviet-enforced secularization and modernization, the Ozmen public voted to become a republic in a 1991 referendum, instead of restoring the monarchy that had been its raison d'être.

[Prosorusiya]

The Mountain Republic was founded as a result of the tumultuous Russian Civil War, in 1921. The previous Imperial Russian government had oppressed many of the conflicting tribes of the North Caucasus, and allowed Cossacks to move into the region in order to gain control of the unruly inhabitants, after it's invasion and suppression of the local Islamic state in the early 1800s. The Russian Civil War caused the delicate peace between groups in the reigon to explode into bloodshed, with the Mountainous Republic of the Northern Caucasus, Terek Soviet, and various Islamic groups fighting one another for control of the reigon. Eventually, with the Whites driven from the area by the Red Army, a compromise was reached by which more groups in the Mountain Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic gained self-determination in exchange for participation in the Soviet state. The region saw much modernization in the NEP period, but the devastation of WW2 did lasting damage to it's infrastructure, much of which was destroyed to prevent it's capture by invading Nazis. The Kruszchev period brought prosperity and rebuilding, but the process then stagnated under Brezhnev. Increasingly, the nation began dissatisfied with being a mere Autonomous Republic of Russia, and began pushing for more home rule and upgraded status as a Union Republic. Their request was granted when they signed the new Union Treaty proposed by Gorbachev in 1991, and became a Union Republic of the Union of Soviet Sovereign Republics. Thus, they were renamed The Mountain Soviet Socialist Republic. The nation was in this period sometimes referred to as "Prosorusiya" by it's first new president, Dmytro Bokor, who as a poet coined the term as a combination of "Proskoya", an archaic corruption of Gorskaya, and "rusiya" to emphasize the nations relationship with Russia. Unfortunately, Bokor was killed in an terrorist attack in 2004 by the "Avar Brigade", a group initially started as a pro-Shah militant group among Iranian diaspora in the Mountain Republic . He was replaced by the evil Alexei Pyatakov, who used corrupt connections with the KGB to terrorize the citizens of the Republic in turn. He died in office in 2015, and after a mostly bloodless cue de ta wherein his KGB cronies attempted to seized power and were in turn ousted by his political opponents, was replaced by Nestor Miroslav. After a scandal involving the sale of ex-Soviet nuclear bombers, Miroslav was replaced by a key opposition leader, former Lt. General Jakob Luganov, and the government was reformed into it's current state, including the use of "Mountain Republic" as the common name for the nation.

So as you can see, we are a polyglot nation with lots of internal intrigue which just barely has managed to survive despite war and constant reorganization.
