RP Rules
RP name: Galaxy
Read this before participating in the RP. Also read through any Civilization overviews and what not as well, so you sort of know what's happening.
Rules:
1. Each player will create an alien race, organic or not, along with a home planet/system.
2. When someone posts a post, another player will respond with their character(s) action(s).
3. The only limit is weapons cannot be more powerful then the Death Star.
4. Non-RP posts will be marked with OOC, for out of character.
5. To start, a player will introduce their alien race, and it's home planet/system, and it's physical/mental characteristics. This description does not have to be too detailed.

Comander Cagnar Via'Ni sits quietly at the bridge of his light cruiser the Vasuina. He waits quietly hoping that reports from The Outers are false and that there wasn't an unidentifiable space craft in his sector. It had been nearly 700 years since the extinction war took place and 500 years since the first sight of any ailen activity in the territory. "By the gods I hope this is a prank" he says quietly to himself as the entire bridge is silent hoping nothing will come. "lieutenant Grin'vu turn the cloaking shield on, and start the Jammers, just in case" comander Via'Ni says with a worried tone.

In a faraway Galaxy, orbiting the red dwarf star Nemesis, lies a world called Techulos. Life on this planet did not evolve through carbon bonding, as it does elsewhere in the universe, but through natural synthesis of gears, levers, pistons, and metal, for Techulos is a machine planet. The Techulonians are between 15 and 40 feet tall on average. They are powered by a heart-like device called a Core. They have built in weapons, and are highly intelligent. Their lifespan ranges from a thousand years to well over a 10,000,000 years, if not longer. Their most sacred site is the Vector of Cores, where all new Techulonians are born. They are a democratic people, currently led by the recently elected Guardian, known as Sigma.

Switchblade, capitan of the exploration ship Pathfinder, opened his sealed orders. He read them. He groaned in dismay. He said to his crew,"Ok, we're headed to Sector 51, where no ship has ever returned from. We will be there in about 12 hours." There was a collective groan from the crew, as they had all heard the stories about this sector. No ship had ever returned from there. All they knew was that there was some sort of alien race out there.

IC:
Commander Via'Ni looks over at his logistics officer "what will we be expecting?"
He asks as the officer looks over at him "from what Outers and scavenger say, this will be 3 alien vessel this year, they seem to be roughly small shout ships from what the reports says, but the our ships never get close enough to check on them" the officer concludes going pack to his post.
"Get the Jamers ready, if it's a scout ship we can't let them detect us, we must at all cost make is seem that this is not a place to expand into, when they appear fire the EMP missiles, and knock out their long range communication, lets make it look like rouge electrical cloud" Via'Ni says as his crew nods and silents once again fills the ship.

IC:
Broadcast, Switchblade's comm officer, said,"Sir, I'm picking up some sort of missile. What should I do? Switchblade replied,"Link it to the systems back on Techulos, and try to make contact with whoever it was that fired those missiles." He turned to Salvo, the gunnery officer, and said, "Prepare the defense grid. We have incoming." Both responded with,"Yes sir."

[Henkala]

"Sir the missles are on way, this is a much bigger ship then reported" An officer yells as Via'Ni watches the screen seeing the missles detonate to early "....... prepare the jump drive and contact all any near by stations...." they already know we are her, but keep the cloak shields up, lets make them work to find us" Via'Ni yell as the crew springs into action "get us close enough to jam every form of communication, then take out they thrusters!" The Vasuina quickly begins to moves

Switchblade ordered Broadcast to activate the jammers. He also ordered Broadcast to transmit a message of peace, that they were a scientific vessel. Switchblade said, "Salvo, make sure all weapons systems are online, just in case." Salvo replied," I'm on it."

Meanwhile back on Techulos........
A messenger raced towards Guardian Sigma's quarters. He rapped on the door. Sigma said,"What is it? Do you know what time it is? I'm in the middle of my recharge cycle." The messenger said,"Sir, there is a crisis. It's the Pathfinder, sir." Sigma swore. He leaped up and walked quickly to the door, and opened it. The messenger led him to the Command Center. Sigma asked,"What the crap is going on?!" Airwave, the Command Center Officer, said,"Sir, the Pathfinder has begun copying and uploading their files to us. They have also linked their comms systems to ours. They appear to be under attack by unknown forces. They must be in serious trouble if they've done this."

Yuki Carwood, leader of the airborne homeguard sat at his desk, listening to strange intercepted messages from base AlphaEchoNiner (AEN).
"A machine people? What else will there be?" He exclaimed before closing the RadioListener.

He attended to his daily duties before having lunch, and whilst eating his raw mixed vegetables, he decided to launch a FTL star probe towards the "Machine people".

Techulos:
Airwave said,"Hey, I'm picking something else up! It appears to be some kind of probe!"
Sigma replied,"Worry about that later. The Pathfinder is in trouble." They heard Switchblade order Salvo to prepare the weapons systems. Airwave said,"That's not a good sign." Sigma nodded in agreement. Sigma spoke,"Is there anything we can do?" Airwave replied,"We have a frigate on a patrol mission. They could be there using FTL in 6 hours. That's the nearest ship to their location. The next nearest ship would take a day to get there." Sigma said,"Order the frigate there to see if they can at least pick up the pieces, or do something to help."

[Lower Iveria]

The probe stops just short of the planet, and starts sending reports back to Carwood, now in the Ministry of defence building on Okan IV's 2nd Moon.
He studys the data, before deciding to signal the probe to land with a welcome peace message.

Techulos:
Airwave told Sigma that the frigate was on it's way. Then the scanner's proximity alarm went off. Airwave said," Sir, the probe is in orbit around us. It appears to be entering the atmosphere. What are your orders?" Sigma replied,"We don't know if it's hostile, right?" Airwave nodded. Sigma said,"What was it's approach vector?" Airwave said,"It appears to have originated in Sector 9." Sigma said,"Scramble four starfighters to escort it in." The door burst open. In walked Stereo, Sigma's Press Officer. Stereo said,"Sir, the media has gotten word of the probe, and the Pathfinder crisis. They're demanding a press conference. What should we do?"

[Henkala]

"Comander Via'Ni, We just picked up a communication wave.... they have already called for help.." The whole bridge becomes silent once again "Make the jump out of here, target anywhere but one of our stations..... The Elders will not like this failure, hopefully they will fallow" Via'Ni orders "activate the hyper boosters, we are abandoning this sector..." He continues slowly getting up from his chair as the Vasuina cloak shield disengage revealing it's position "Lets see if we can get any information on the capability of their ship. How's the Jump coming along?" Via'Ni orders "5 minutes comander, but the hyper boosters are ready for on your order" on officer yells "Fire them now!" with that order the Vasuina's speed increases drastically as it speeds away from the alien vessel.

Broadcast said, "It appears that they are retreating." Switchblade said," Good. Salvo, deactivate weapons systems."

Techulos:
Airwave said,"Tell the media that all we have to worry about is the probe." Sigma said,"Good. We'll hold that press conference." Stereo nodded, and spoke into a communicator,"Press Team, begin setting up a press conference." Airwave spoke,"The probe just landed. What should we do?"

[Henkala]

Via'Ni watches the vessel as his ship hurries away in shame "Is that Jump ready yet?!" he says looking over at his chief engineer "yes sir, but there seems to be some form of interference, we can't see to make a lock on with any system?" the engineer says just in time as an explosion cripples the ships, sending the bridge crew flying. "What in gods na-.." is all Commander Via'Ni could say as he is thrown against the wall, blacking out.

[Pax Nerdvana]

Broadcast said," Thats weird. The ETs appear to be having trouble." Switchblade said,"Let's see if we can help them. We're explorers, not warriors." The ship started moving towards the ETs.

[Henkala]

"Commander! Comander?!" lieutenant Grin'vu yells, having woken up from his black out quickly limping over to his superior "Someone get a medic the Comander is down!" He yells to whoever is till conscious "Someone also get me a status report on what the hell just happened!" He orders as someone yells back "Sir the alien vessel is coming straight toward us, Orders
Sir!"

[Pax Nerdvana]

Switchblade said,"Send out a message of peace. We are a scientific vessel. We come in peace." Broadcast sent out a message that fell within thise categories. Broadcast said,"Let's hope the message is interpreted correctly." Switchblade nodded in agreement.

[Henkala]

"Lieutenant Grin'vu! the alien vessel is sending some sort of communication.... also their weapons are offline.... I think they want to help, but I'm not under standing their language also our coms are down, Sir" the communication officer ".... Fire a distress flare.. I'll take responsibility if they do anything" Grin'vu orders, knowing they can never return home now.

[Pax Nerdvana]

A crewman yelled out,"Hey! I see a distress flare!" Switchblade sighed in relief. He said,"Ok, let's start heading over to them to see if we can help." Swingwing, the helmsman, said,"Setting course. We're on our way."

[Henkala]

"sir, their on our way, also we have managed to contain the fire to the engine room, but the bridge and the rest of the ship is cut off, there is too many holes and derby..." an officer says "Get who ever is the superior officer down their and have them open the cargo bay... set up a welcome party" Grin'vu orders.

[Pax Nerdvana]

Broadcast said,"They appear to be opening their hangar bay. It seems they want us to come in." Switchblade said,"Ok, Broadcast, you stay here to monitor the situation. Salvo, Thunderjet(shuttle pilot), with me. We'll be the delegation to the alien ship. We'll take Shuttle 2." Broadcast said,"Don't forget the Linguitron translator." Switchblade said,"Already got it." They headed down to the shuttle bay and climbed into Shuttle 2. Thunderjet said,"I hope we can fit in their hangar bay. In all likelihood, we are much taller then them." The shuttle took off.

[Henkala]

Sargent Fun'ia waits nervously in the hangar bay "I want the sharpshooter squads in position, as well as any marine, all weapons are on safety unless fires upon." he orders as marines and the crew scramble to their positions. "everyone is ready, as well as the welcome party, sir how do you plan to communicate?" a crew member asks "by hand signs, jesters, and body language... we where never supposed to meet aliens to begin with." Fun'ia replies as the alien ship slowly enters the hanger.

Thunderjet said,"We're coming in. Scanners appear to show thatvthey are stationing sharpshooters and soldiers." Switchblade said,"Keep your weapons withdrawn. We're not here for a fight." Shuttle 2 came in for a landing. Broadcast came over the radio:"I'll be in constant contact with you. Don't start a fight."
