A school district in Texas has decided to bring back paddling a from of punishment. For those who don't know paddling is using a wooden board to hit a child on the behind. The district has decided it will only be used on children whose parents have given written and verbal consent.
I find this to be very troubling. I could care less weather or not a parent has given consent. There is a reason this practice was banned in many places. Its child abuse plain and simple and parents that are signing are condoning abuse. According to the article studies have shown practices like this can have effects such as students more likely to be defiant or aggressive in the short term and in the long term can have effects on mental health.
What's your thoughts on this NSG?

Hmmm, as long as it administered by one of those "Too Hot for Teacher" females and not by one of those "Helga's house of pain" types, I might be game.

Let's not be implying that it's ok for teachers to be in sexually charged situations with children, eh?
