Greetings Friends and Distinguished Comrades,

And allow me to welcome you to the official Embassy Program for the Confederacy of Tawwassen! Tawwassen is a sparsely populated, yet large nation, covering territory in North Western North America, made up of what was once British Columbia, the Yukon and North West Territories. We were formed under the principles of Libertarian Socialism and Democratic Confederalism, yet pride ourselves in being open to various other ideas and belief systems.

Around 5 million people call Tawwassen home, most of whom live in Semi-Autonomous communities and municipalities along the Coast of the Pacific Ocean, with our largest city being our Capital, Salish Bay.

President Anthony McGuinness serves as our head of government, as well as serving as the figurehead of the Co-Operative Commonwealth Federation and the United Front Coalition.

Information: Salish Bay, Tawwassen's Capital City, located on our south west coast. Not only is it a important port for international trade. Due to it's beaches, expansive wilderness, and world famous ski hills, it is also a popular tourist destination.

Population: 344,615
Information: Sevenoaks, sitting on the southern tip of Vancouver Island, and served as a major rebel stronghold during the Canadian Civil War. Due to it's strategic position, the city is built like a fortress and sits close to a number of Tawwassens largest military barracks.

Population: 179,839
Information: Once a small resort town, Kelowna has changed drastically since the end of the Civil War. Now, sitting in Tawwassen's agricultural heartland, it is known across the nation for it's sprawling ranches and exceptional fruits and berries. It's urban neighborhoods are still rather glossy from the days when the city was filled with wealthy tourists.

Embassy Restrictions:

Firearms: Most small arms are permitted, including pistols, shotguns, assault rifles etc. However, heavy weapons, Rocket Launchers, grenades, and such are not permitted.

Vehicles: Tanks as well as heavy armoured vehicles such as Infantry Fighting Vehicles, Troop Transports and such are not permitted.

Staff: Staff may not exceed 50 individuals (Max 15 Diplomatic Staff, Max 15 Security Staff, Max 20 Service Staff

This decision has been carefully considered beforehand by the Council of State of Hindia Belanda and made on the basis of mutual respect for each other's undisputed sovereignty, territorial integrity as well as non-interference in the internal affairs of one another. Is there anything else we should know?: Certain far-right elements in Vilemyr have stirred up Anti-Semitic sentiments following the election of Prime Minister Östberg, our first Jewish Prime Minister, and threats have been made to high ranking Jewish officials. Aasmäe, formerly a representative to the International Jewish Congress, an adviser to Östberg during her campaign and a former councilman in the city of Lõunasadamküla, received threats as well. Security will, for the first few months at the least, be slightly more stringent due to this, but in time will relax.
