Fotbalová Asociace ZápadoSłovanského Králevství
Football Association of the Western Slavic Kingdom
Introduction
The FAZSK was founded in 1925, thus being one of the most ancient Football Associations in the whole world, but the national team has returned to the international stage only lately, with the International Cup of Soccer, where they reached the Round of 16 and were eliminated by the host team. The national team did not participate in the UFA Football Championship, which is a competition organised by the Union of Football Associations (UFA), the sports institution of the Democratic Economic Union of Nations (DEUN), due to the Kingdom temporary absence from the DEUN when such a competition occurred.
National Competitions
Ekstraklasa (EK)
The Ekstraklasa football championship is the main football competition in the Western Slavic Kingdom, representing the first division of the Western Slavic league system (which is formed by a total of nine leagues: the Ekstraklasa on top being the highest tier, the I Liga and II Liga representing the second and third tiers respectively, and then the six groups of the III Liga, on for each macro-region of the country, being the third and last nation-wide relevant tier).
It is formed by 18 teams (Slavia Praha, Sparta Praha, Cracovia, Lechia Gdańsk, Lech Poznań, Ruch Chořóv, Visła Krakóv, FC ViOn Zlaté Moravce, FK Mladá Boleslav, Slovan Bratislava, Spartak Trnava, Dukla Praha, Slovan Liberec, Slovácko FK, Liberec FK, Viktoria Plzeň, MŠK Žilina, Legia Varšava), of which the last two retrocede each season to the I Liga: last year, the Bohemians 1905 FC and the Śląsk Vrocłav teams finished last, and will be replaced this year by Slovan Liberec and Slovácko FK.
For what concerns other details, each team will face all other teams twice during the competition, once in a home match, and once in an away match.
Every victory will assign 3 points to a team, every draw will assign 1 point, and every defeat will add no points to the team's total in the league's table.
