Setting and Factions

Playable Factions: Space Marines (Minotaur Chapter and Deathwatch), Eldar, Tau (Kroot, Demiurge, & Human Auxiliaries Allowed)

The planet Cyron, a newly inducted planet in the Tau empire and a former Imperium Hive Planet, is beset on all sides by four great armies. The forces of Chaos Undivided, brought forth by the Iron Warriors Chaos Legion, have corrupted the planet whole and now threaten to awaken an ancient power strong enough to tear open warp portals on every planet in the sector. The nearby inhabited moon, Cyron III, one of six smaller natural satellites orbiting the gargantuan colony world, has sent out a distress beacon to the Theseus’ Bane battlebarge informing them of the discovery of a great weapon which would allow them to penetrate the defenses of the Iron Warriors and turn the tides of battle in the Imperium’s favour. Determined to protect secrets of their chapter lore, the Minotaur chapter dispatches a small group of Space Marines to Cyron III to investigate. Along with them comes a Deathwatch Kill-Team dispatched originally to deal with the Tyranids in the sectors to the southwest but after rumors of Eldar involvement in the sector two Kill-Teams were sent to investigate. One team has deployed with the Minotaurs just in case. However, both the Eldar and Tau have stakes in this battle too. Under orders from Commander Shas’O Jax’ath, the Tau overlords refuse to allow their newly acquired colony to fall victim to either the cruelty of the Astartes or the corruption of Chaos. A small Tau strike force crash lands on Cyron III to also investigate the source of the human distress beacon. Following suit is the Eldar, interested in impeding either faction that gets in their way and insuring the defeat of Chaos on Cyron. Fearing the destruction of Eldar craftworlds should the strength of Chaos in this sector become too great, Farseer Ilopadme orders her Eldar forces to infiltrate all participating armies and insure Eldar victory by any means necessary.

Unbeknownst to any of these armies was the horror that lurked on the small moon of Cyron III, and the terrible choice all who had been sent there would have to make. Stirring within the depths of the terraformed moon mining tunnels lay an insidious lair of Tyranid Genestealers and their newfound followers.

Aganos Kantor - Deathwatch Salamander Tech Marine Anowa
Michelle Honoris - Tau Ghu'Vesa Auxillary Auropa

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Name: Watch Master Astophan Balthasar
Race: Astartes
Faction: Imperium of Man
Equipment:
•Guardian Spear
•Deathwatch Shotgun
•Artificer Armor
•Clavis
•Iron Halo
•Melta Bomb
•Various Special Ammunitions
Short Bio:
Before taking up the watch Astophan was a member of the Dark Angels chapter before taking up his watch. Specifically he was a of the First Company Deathwing Knights. Renowned as an excellent warrior and a master at fighting Dark Eldar, Astophan entered the Deathwatch around four hundred standard years ago after his services were requested by Inquisitor Mahmoud in dealing with a group of Dark Eldar who had been harassing several agri-worlds. Astophan served admirably and chose to continue his watch even after he would have been allowed to leave back to his home chapter much to the chagrin of the Inner Circle.

Astophan continued to serve in the Deathwatch where he rose in rank steadily until achieving the rank of Watch Master. Now even if he did wish to return to his own chapter is it highly unlikely he would be able to return to his chapter as the Inquisitors who lorded over the Deathwatch could scarcely imagine letting such a Astartes leave. Astophan is also noted as being one of the first of the Deathwatch who responded to the Damocles Gulf war during the third expansion of the Tau Empire. He is still openly bitter about the Imperium leaving the Tau to their own devices with their captured Imperial worlds even with the appearance of the Tyranids. Though he has find a way to bring some measure of revenge upon the Tau in the war on Cyron even though he distrusts the Minotaur lackeys of the High Lords.

Name: Shas’El Saz’nami Tash'var Ash'ra

Race: Tau (Fire Caste)

Faction: Tau Empire

Equipment: Custom XV8 Crisis Battlesuit armed with a flamer, burst cannon, standard shoulder-mounted missile pod and outfitted with a Command and Control Node, Jetpack, Drone Controller (With Two Customized Escort Drones), Early Warning Override System, Ejection System, Target Lock system, and a Shield Generator. Also carries a Pulse Pistol.

Short Bio: One of Commander Shas’O Jax’ath’s Saz’nami (Close Protection Officers), Ash’ra is perhaps the most trusted confidant of the commander and thus has access to a great deal of specialized battlesuit gear. Having trained together, and risen in rank together, the two have a very close bond. Shas’El Saz’nami Tash’var Ash’ra has saved his commander’s life on several occasions, both in conflicts against the Imperium in the Damocles Crusade and other minor campaigns, and has since earned a great deal of respect in his caste. A true believer in the Greater Good, Ash’ra is loyal to the Tau Empire with every fibre of his being. Having a soft spot for humans, especially the Gue’vesa, Ash’ra has found himself stricken with awe many times by the Imperium’s forces and their nigh fanatical devotion to their God-Emperor. While he disagrees with their cruelty, especially that of the murderous and brutal Astartes, he generally holds both the Imperial Guard and the Space Marines in high regard, respecting them as worthy and honorable foes. He has since developed a dream that perhaps one day, should he ever rise to the rank of Shas’O and command his own army, he will convince the God-Emperor’s chosen (the Astartes) of the futility in resisting the Greater Good and thus be the first of his kin to bring one, or many, into service of the Tau’va. He respects martial prowess, as was previously noted, but has always preferred negotiation and even has been envious of the Water Caste for their role as ambassadors and diplomats at times. Ash’ra cares for his battlesuit with a nearly fanatical level of devotion, religiously imitating the practices of the Space Marines and their care for the Power Armour they wear. He finds their ways fascinating, and in every encounter with them he takes careful note of their actions. Ash’ra loves poetry and prose, going so far as to write his own poems (usually about the Greater Good or his very stoic and reserved emotions towards the last battle or kill) and plaster them to his battlesuit much like the Astartes affix purity seals. Like most Tau of the Fire caste he has more emotion than most of his kin, but not nearly as much as the average human, and is quick tempered. He was dispatched, along with two other strike forces in separate vessels, with a squad of Fire Warriors and several auxiliaries to Cyron III to investigate a beacon of unknown origin on behalf of his commander, but unfortunately his vessel crashed on atmospheric entry leaving him as the only survivor of his strike team (likely due to his battlesuit).

Name: Aganos Kantor
Race: Adeptus Astares
Faction: Deathwatch (Salamanders)
Equipment: Artificier Power Armor Mark VII, Master Crafted Hesh Bolter, Omnissian Power-Axe, Servo-Harness (2 Servo Arms, 1 Plasma Cutter, 1x Flamer), Pleician Tome, Vivisection Gage.
Short Bio: Aganos' life has been full of adventure, as a child he was taken on as an apprentice to one of the Salamander Astartes in his clan, eventually being seemed worthy enough to enter their ranks as a neophyte. Throughout his early career as a neophyte and then as a fully fledged Astartes, he had an aptitude for mechanics and creation, of which his Brother-Sergeant, and then Brother-Captain took notice of. It was then he was shipped off to Mars to learn more of the workings of the Mechanicum's designs and their rites and rituals.

Upon his return, he spent almost two centuries with his home chapter and on Nocturne before he was faced with a new posting, that of the Deathwatch. Seeing as the Salamanders, his home chapter, had a comparatively high number of Techmarines compared to other chapters, those who had any say in the decision to send him did so without too much hassle.

It has been almost three decades since his induction, crafting his own weapons, maintaining his own armor, and in general upholding his duties to the Machine Cult, his home Chapter, and to the Deathwatch. Compared to his nigh 2 centuries of service with his brothers in the Salamanders, it's a short time frame. But he hopes his watch come to a close soon, despite his bond with the brothers he shares now.

How will this RP work? The players somehow band together and what about NPCs?
Vanq commands a quiet respect that carries its own authority. He is the Hitler of NS.

"I took away Vanq's YB for deliberatly ignoring me"
"I know Vanq is a very good writer and this is how he treats someone of lesser skill?"
"I would love to have a writer of your caliber along for the ride"
"neo and vanq do a dbz fusion to form 1 big shitposter then get erased from NS by kyrusia"
"Which is the level of memeing I expect from Vanq"
"brigadier general comes on, pulls a vanq and calls us all autistic"

It's a mission of survival basically. The players all came to the moon for their various reasons not knowing that the moon had been infested with a Genestealer Cult. What happens after that is up to them.

Name: Michelle Honoris
Race: human
Faction: Tau (ghu’vesa)
Equipment: ion rifle, marker light, simple knife (close combat weapons)

Short Bio:
Michelle was born on a forge world. Orphaned at the age of 3 by gang wars she was raised by her brother Marcus Honoris, at the age of 18 she enlisted with her brother into imperial guard. To the pair it seemed like the best way to escape their dead-end lives of poverty and chance a better future. Instead they found only war and suffering as they were shipped from front to front.

Eventually they were pitted against the forces of Tau. Though the campaign proved to be a crushing defeat and the Honoris duo’s regiment were effectively abandoned by the imperium. Humanity would call it another heroic act of righteous zealots fighting to the end, but the guard’s last stand was bloody and far from honourable. For days, the regiment was steadily worn down by an endless hail of plasma fire until only a handful remained. It was here Michelle’s loyalty was broken. Taking cover behind a burned-out Lemon Russ with her brother and what was left of her squad she had prepared herself for death in the emperor’s name. Before such a fate could arrive however, a commissar began demanding more fury against the xeno, claiming the current defense was a humiliation to the imperial guard. Then without warning he raised his pistol and let loose a round into the chest of Marcus killing him instantly. Seeing this betrayal of leadership changed Michelle, with a war cry worthy of a sister of battle she raised her own lasgun and fired three shots into the commissar killing him instantly.

In that moment, she was an enemy of the imperium but none fired upon her. Days of unending death had shaken the guardsmen's willingness to kill brother and sister, the end would come to all of them regardless, instead of enacting imperial justice they continued fighting the Tau. Michelle meanwhile dragged her bleeding brother across the battlefield and to the inside of a bombed-out bunker where for hours she desperately tried to resuscitate the fallen soldier. By the time the Tau forces found her, the battle was over. Armed with only her bloodied fists it ended up taking a small team of firewarriors to separate her from the body of her brother and place her in their custody. It was there she met with Shas’El Saz’nami Tash'var Ash'ra. One of the Tau’s officers, but instead of gloating over victory he showed sympathy for her loss and even allowed her to bury her fallen brother. With time and after hearing tales and stories of the greater good she eventually made up her mind about what must be done. She demanded to see the Saz’nami and upon meeting him again asked to serve under him. Expecting resistance and doubt, she went on before a reply could be given. Explaining that she was still loyal to the emperor and mankind but knew deep down that the imperium was wrong. Fury and cruelty were never meant to be tools of mankind and if the imperium had to rely on brainwashing, suppression and even murder to motivate the people then it was only because they were wrong. Less than a week later she was serving in a team of likeminded humans under the Tau. In that time, she worked to better understand the ways of Tau and her place within them and went on to show almost unmatched dedication in all aspects of her new life even earning a role within a pathfinder scout team to help show the way for the forces of the greater good.

OOC- Finished my app. Hope its alright but I included the Enclave's character a bit in 'recruiting' my character into the Tau figured it might be cool if there's a bit of a history.

It's great, and it's certainly fine for you to tie in your bio with my character's. It fleshes them both out more because of it.

Anyways, you are accepted. I'll have the OP add you to the accepted list when he gets online. If you have questions don't hesitate to ask the OP or myself.
