Well, the attack in the north just flat out failed however you didnt loose much ground either thanks to reinforcements. You might wana try again.

The men you sent, unlike the North front, did manage to take some cities and a few objective points here and there but it was no spectacular victory. You took many casulties and a few set backs but over all, again, it was a ok job.

This tatic works pretty good overall, with some set backs. The enemy officers studied history as manditory in there college so they knew your tatic to an (Historical) extent, and could therefor geuss at your stragity. With this knowledge, they managed to counter some attacks and gave you some set backs but by the time they fully figured it out you had over run them.
