Bio: In ancient days the goddess Nera was born to the god of the stars. Nera used her command over fire to create a great star in the sky, the Sun, then set Anara in orbit around it to give the people of Anara light and warmth. Nera then set herself up as guardian of the Sun. Many, both mortal and divine, coveted the Sun's power, and thus Nera became a great warrior and leader of armies to safeguard the Sun against those who desired it. Nera had a mortal husband named Kharos who was a human warlord, with him she gave birth to four sons who named themselves the Eagle Prince, the Wolf Prince, the Horse Prince, and the Lion Prince. These four children were the ancestors of the four Teshtaran tribes.

Though Nera was able to defeat all those who coveted her power she was unable to see the jealousy in the eyes of her younger sister Xibana, a goddess who had created a much smaller star called the Morning star. Xibana was always forgotten in comparison to Nera and had done nothing of importance in Anara compared to her. One day, in a fit of jealous rage, Xibana stabbed Nera in the back. Nera was the first god to ever die, descending into the underworld. While she was dead she was still a goddess, and the underworld had no ruler in those days, so she became queen of the underworld.

A learned elven sage who had died several hundred years ago advised her that if she could still control the Sun, she could bring it to the underworld so it could restore her life and let her return to the world of the living. However, doing so would doom Anara to a cold and dark death with no Sun. Nera decided that her life was not worth the death of all Anara, but she could not stand being trapped in the underworld forever. Eventually she devised a compromise - Instead of taking all the Sun's power, she devised a way that when she stood beneath the Sun's light she could return to a state of undeath without draining all of its power.

That is how she has lived ever since - queen of the underworld wherever it was night, undead goddess of fire wherever it was day. Xibana was shunned by the other gods when Nera returned from the dead and named her as her murderer, but Nera convinced them not to execute her, as then she'd simply become a resident of the underworld and a nuisance for her. Xibana in her exile is genuinely repentant for killing her sister, but understandably Nera is not fond of the idea of reconciliation with her.
Sexual orientation: Asexual (What with being undead)
Personality: Habitually neutral in divine conflicts, very cynical, easy to anger, ultimately very compassionate.
Powers/Abilities:

  • All the time:


    • Full authority and command over the underworld - For example, if someone dies, she can deny them entry and force them to wander as a ghost or dissolve into non-existence, and if an undead being is created by magic in the world of the living she can command it to do her bidding.
    • Can't get rid of her - If she dies she simply returns to the underworld where she can return to the surface world at any location the Sun shines. Other gods who have no power over the underworld and no established way of returning to life have a more difficult time returning to the world of the living.
  • Only when powered by the Sun:


    • Ability to create and control any fire or heat - This ranges from fireballs to volcanic eruptions
    • Undead healing - Cut off part of her body, she can just reattach it or regenerate it, and usually very quickly
    • Superhuman strength and speed - Even for a god she is terrifyingly strong and fast, and only the gods of war and battle surpass her in sheer combat ability.

Likes: Great warriors, humanity, honesty, honour
Dislikes: Xibana, deceptive people, dwarves and elves
Strengths: She spent centuries defending the Sun from those who sought its power, and thus for a god she is skilled in battle. Specifically, she is an expert swordswoman and commander.
Weaknesses: She's a walking corpse and thus pretty fragile. Even when partially returned to life during the day, it is very easy to simply cut off pieces of her.
Equipment: An enormous two-handed sword half again as tall as her, made from sinew and obsidian, crafted in the underworld to replace the sword she wielded when she was alive. When she holds the power of the Sun she can light the sinew portion on fire.
Goals: Groom a worthy successor to the role of god of the Sun and fire who isn't, y'know, dead.

Reworked Nera. Sorry about getting mad, it was actually much easier to change than I thought.

You think maybe Nera consulted with Fate before her murder? Because sometimes people will ask her to see their cards and although she very rarely grants this request because a person's fate should be unknown to them...sometimes she will. I can imagine her face when she pulls the cards for betrayal and death.

Bio: A long time ago, a raven tried flying through a storm and got struck by lightning. However, this was no ordinary raven: this was a magical raven. It had human intelligence, as well as a pretty good sense of humor. Rather than getting instantly turned into KFC, the bird was granted some heccing awesome powers, as well as a new form. A bit later, she was granted the position of MESSENGER OF THE GODS. Nowadays, she's just your friendly neighborhood Raven, helping mortals with stuff and protecting the world from the forces of evil. But for the most part, just chilling, as always. Yep, just chilling.
Sexual orientation: Bisexual
Personality: Raven is surprisingly laid back for a deity. She's chill, self depreciative, humorous, and a bit sarcastic. Appearance: She appears as a lovely young woman usually dressed in green

Aspect/Domain (what are you the frickin’ god of?): Divine retribution, punishment, justice, wrath and and vengeance, carries out the punishments assigned by the gods and incites and oversees acts of vengeance.
Junior or senior god?: Junior
Bio: Cerauna's name literally means: "smasher, crusher (as in a thunderbolt) and is the child of the deity of storms. She was born when the first act of vengeance was carried out. As swift and destructive as her domain is, she was named after the thunderbolt, equal in its destructive power. They say when lightning strikes the earth, that is how she comes to earth to carry out divine justice.
Sexual orientation: Bi
Personality: Cerauna is a very duty bound goddess, as the enforcer of the gods' punishments on mortals and gods and to carry out the sentences handed down by the godly court, she is directly answerable to the king and queen of the gods themselves. She's a very strong believer of justice and believes that the punishment should be appropriate to the crime. And if somebody has harmed another and does not repent it, then that person should be able to take justice for themselves and that's where she comes in her aspect as goddess of vengeance. She's however a very balanced and fair individual, the punishments should be harsh but not excessive, which is a little weird considering she's the goddess of wrath and she's often seen in the company of war deities, considering most wars are acts of vengeance and wrath.
Powers/Abilities: She causes anger and wrath and vengeful thoughts in men, she also invited acts of revenge and is in charge of making sure that vengeance is carried out or not. Or at least she will be.

It is he who gifts various mortals the gift of magic, and he cares not if they use it right or wrong; all he knows is that he gave magic to those that Fate deemed fit. Asuryan is also the kind of person that cares not for the conflicts of the other senior gods; in fact he finds their "childishness" amusing.
Powers/Abilities: He has everything magical for power, but specifically, he usually prefers to use dimensional portals just to troll the other senior gods while they are fighting each other. He would summon portals just to have the goddess of fire throw fireballs in it just in time for the fireballs come out of the other side and hit the god of the sun at the face. At other times, he would simply sit in his own private realm and watch as Anara unfolds.

Strengths: A master of Just As Planned, and he has command over all magic, except for the powers each and every deity has in their own aspect.
Weaknesses: The fact that he doesn't care about the world all too much is one big weakness in itself. He also cannot face any of the other gods directly, and is much, much weaker in physical. Hence he just trolls them.
Equipment: The Waters of Eternity. Whoever drinks from these waters will be granted great powers over magic, and knowing that Asuryan drinks from it time and time again, he is indeed very powerful magically.
Goals: Troll the other gods whenever they are fighting each other. He also wants to see a reason why he should care.

Bio: Allaria, despite consistent misconceptions, is not the goddess of death. She guides dead souls to the correct afterlife, testing them in order to determine where they must go. She had not always done this job, once it was the duty of another god, a senior god, however that god was wounded in a titanic battle with another deity and so it fell to Allaria to do the duty once done by him. She was just another spirit in the limbo between afterlife and life before she was gifted the power to become a god.
Sexual orientation: Bisexual
Personality: Allaria is a hard worker, dedicated and stoic. She has a uniquely grim sense of humour, and rarely gives away her emotions with her expression save for the occasional small smirk. Secretly she’s a little annoyed that despite her hard work she’s not gotten her “promotion” yet, and how people often mistake her for the deity of the underworld, or other deities. She also is a sucker for drama, and often vicariously lives through the lives of other people by observing them.
Powers/Abilities:
  • She can make herself invisible to humans, apart from those who are close to death.
  • She may summon lost souls and spirit servants to perform tasks for her. She knows the paths to each afterlife.
  • She may conjure mirrors and enter a dimension which is with mirrors, parallel to our own, allowing her to hide and travel with mirrors.
  • She can control water.

Likes: Watching humans, Doing her job
Dislikes: Arrogance, Laziness, People who try to bargain with her,
Strengths: Often an earily calm opponent who rarely succumbs to fear or doubt.
Weaknesses: Not a great close range fighter. Poor social skills.
Equipment: She always has a small boat with her and a paddle for it.
Goals: Reap the souls and guide them, become a senior goddess.

Bio: Allaria, despite consistent misconceptions, is not the goddess of death. She guides dead souls to the correct afterlife, testing them in order to determine where they must go. She had not always done this job, once it was the duty of another god, a senior god, however that god was wounded in a titanic battle with another deity and so it fell to Allaria to do the duty once done by him. She was just another spirit in the limbo between afterlife and life before she was gifted the power to become a god.
Sexual orientation: Bisexual
Personality: Allaria is a hard worker, dedicated and stoic. She has a uniquely grim sense of humour, and rarely gives away her emotions with her expression save for the occasional small smirk. Secretly she’s a little annoyed that despite her hard work she’s not gotten her “promotion” yet, and how people often mistake her for the deity of the underworld, or other deities. She also is a sucker for drama, and often vicariously lives through the lives of other people by observing them.
Powers/Abilities:
  • She can make herself invisible to humans, apart from those who are close to death.
  • She may summon lost souls and spirit servants to perform tasks for her. She knows the paths to each afterlife.
  • She may conjure mirrors and enter a dimension which is with mirrors, parallel to our own, allowing her to hide and travel with mirrors.
  • She can control water.

Bio: Jörð is one of the oldest of the senior gods and brother to Indra. He has been around since the creation of existence and created the world as it is. With the land created, he finally had the canvas to create what he wanted. At first the land was nothing but magma, but eventually he decided to create something more easily moldable, thus a massive continent that covered the entire globe was made. He tried to reach the domain of Indra so that they might battle, thus created mountains. When he grew bored of the blank land, he created the first creatures. These creatures, are now known as Wyrms, which he modeled after himself. He desired for them to reach his size but they never grew larger than what would later become a horse. Suddenly, Jörð's canvas was ruined when the creation of water and his brother Govaroth came to be. The world was consumed by water, covering almost the entirety. Jörð then began his crusade against his brother, swearing that he would reclaim the land lost to the sea.

He first began this by creating more creatures, first came the orcs and goblins. However, they could not stand water as it could cause them to melt and they lacked any high intelligence thus they became warriors. Then came the Dwarves and humans, which were almost perfect. They could touch water without dying, however Govaroth contaminated the process thus making these creatures require water to survive. The humans became pointless to Jörð while the Dwarves became excellent miners, thus he has the Dwarves construct his many temples in the earth.

Then Jörð tried to create something close to the size of a human but could live longer, thus came the elves but were not as strong as the Dwarves or Elves. Finally he created what he has hoped to use to conquer Govaroth, amphibians. They could survive on both land and in water, however he could not create any creatures close to human size thus they resemble himself but smaller.

Now Jörð continues his war with Govaroth, as he tries to conquer the ocean. What is known as the tides is actually these two gods fighting for control over the beaches and shorelines which is the battleground for the two. Jörð watches over his many children scattered across the land as he hopes that one of them will help him conquer the sea. Jörð resides in the largest volcano and mountain range on the earth, what humans called "Wyrm's Mouth". Inside the mountain he has trained many goblin and orcs armies should they need to be used and has the oldest Dwarf clan mine the many mountains.

Personality: Jörð sees himself as an artist. He strives to create the "perfect world", thus he strives in change whether it be by manipulating tectonic plates to move the land or creating his servants. Jörð is ruthless, he cares little for the lives of mortals that reside on his land with only the occasional mortal being picked to be his champion. Jörð cares little for the Pantheon and the many people among it, thus he keeps to himself rarely interacting with his fellow divine beings.
Powers/Abilities:
  • Terrakinesis: Jord can move the land as he sees fit, however it is a slow process depending on the size. It can take a millennia or more to move a continent but can create earthquakes to move things slightly, however more quickly.
  • Drought: Due to Jord being enemies with Govaroth, Jord has the ability to create droughts so as to weaken Govaroth's control on land.
  • Magma Breath: From the inside, Jord can unleash great destruction by unleashing the Magma inside of himself. The magma is slow, thus is not a very powerful weapon especially those that are agile. (Essentially a portable volcano if enough gets out)
Likes: Destruction and Construction, Removing water from his land, Changing the tectonic plates of the earth, Change.
Dislikes: Erosion, Floods, Rain and Storms. His children drowning.
Strengths: Can give birth to Goblins and Orcs, The Magma he controls is hot enough to evaporate water (but not large bodies like oceans), His size and raw power (Can crush many things)
Weaknesses: Large amounts of water (if submerged for too long he will die), Water Magic.
Equipment: None, he is a very large creature.
Goals: Create the perfect world, Reach Govaroth and destroy him.

Bringing this back, I'm busy with something so let me know if there's something I need to remove.
Also if no one does God of the Sea I'll do it too. I'll wait until one is made and I'll adjust to them as I want the God of Sea and Land to be closely tied.
