The official governing regime of The South Pacific is the Coalition. We've lasted over 15 years as a democratic and representative government for The South Pacific.

Our _Government_

The Coalition is organized with a mix of characteristics from real-world federal and parliamentary countries. We have three branches of government: the executive, which is split between a head of state and prime minister; the legislature, which is semi-bicameral with a devolved home rule for the in-game community; and the judiciary, headed by the Chief Justice.

The Delegate serves as head of state and protects the region against outside invaders. The government is led by the Prime Minister and the Cabinet, and it's these players who you should contact if you need to get in touch with TSP's leaders. The legislature is led by the Chair of the Assembly, who runs the Assembly but is not a member of the Cabinet.

_Head of State_
The head of state of the Coalition is our World Assembly Delegate. They are elected every 6 months in a two-level election by legislators (members of the Assembly) and World Assembly native members of the region.

_Cabinet_
The Cabinet is the primary executive of the Coalition. The Prime Minister serves as the head of government and leads a team of ministers in managing the political aspects of the region. These are who you want to speak to if you're a foreign representative reaching out.

_The Assembly_
The Assembly is the supreme legislative authority in the Coalition. Compromised of legislators, the Assembly writes and passes laws, elects the Cabinet, and provides oversight of all officials. The Chair of the Assembly serves as the administrative leader of the chamber.

The South Pacific military force, the SPSF, has worked closely with the best defender organizations for the past year. We would like to celebrate our friendship and camaraderie with The Grey Wardens, TITO, RRA, RIASF, LCA, FORGE, DOW, SDF, UDSAF and other organizations through a Defender Expo.

This event is planned to coincide with the The Grey Wardens’ Defender Awards Voting and Ceremony Period, from Wednesday July 19-26, 2017. It’s an opportunity for defenders and their friends to showcase their accomplishments and successes and engage in some fun games and social events.

Each day of the event will include defender challenges. These events will take place either well before (2-4 hours) or right after update so that our soldiers can operate to their full capabilities on the field.

Who’s the fastest chaser of them all? Can you get it down to 1 sec, 2 sec, or 3 sec moves? Have an officer test your speed and join the FastBoi\Girl Squad. Officers will lead competitors in a 10 region jump. See regions list.

- Chasing + Switching
For the most advanced defenders, can you still get those 1 sec jumps if you have to switch as well? Have an officer test your speed and join the FastBoi\Girl Squad. Officers will lead competitors in a 10 region jump.

- Detag Runs
During a slow update, defenders will go on detag runs - the most detags wins.

Social Events will let defenders and friends get to know each other and hang out

After going through many ups and downs, today we are tiny but dedicated update presence. We defend because we believe in the right of all people to be treated as ends-in-themselves, and not as a means to attain power or pleasure. We believe that the right combination of defending and righteous vengeance will enable the masses across the globe to create and maintain safe environments for their nations to thrive in. While it's had its ups and downs through the years, ranging from highs under Defense Ministers such as Karputsk and lows under President Blitze, Spiritus has been ever-willing to support the defender cause. With the military on the up again, Spiritus seeks to ensure that as many native regions across NS retain their regional sovereignty from those who would destroy it as possible. What Are You Looking for in a Recruit?: Active updater, dedicated to the cause, willing to be involved in the greater community of Spiritus if possible. A love for LOTR helps!	Name: UDSAF Leader: Kanglia Famous Soldiers: Khevo, The Noble Thatcherites, Lenlyvit, The Glorious Hypetrain, Associated Region: The Union of Democratic States Goals/Background/History: The UDSAF has had a relative short history, first starting in January of 2017 under the leadership of Lenlyvit. After undertaking multiple detag missions, members of the UDSAF soon started to take an active part in liberations & other defensive operations. In April, Lenlyvit passed leadership of the UDSAF on to Kanglia, who has held the position since. The UDSAF is now focused more on active updates as opposed to detagging after updates. The UDSAF has found a large base of activity, with roughly 12 members. Goals/Background/History: FORGE was forged(get the pun) as an interregional alliance based off of cultural & defensive purposes. The military side, now known as The Knights Radiant, was first headed by Lenlyvit, who grew TKR into the fighting force that it is today, before stepping aside in favor of Kanglia. Lenlyvit is now 2nd in command of TKR, & the goals have yet to change, with TKR seeking to become more active in defending & expanding its influence with defenderdom. Name of Organization: The Dragon Knights of Aenaroth (DKA) Current Leader \ Commander: Red Dusk Past and Present Members Include: Red Dusk, Daemon Wrath, Rom Associated Region If Any: Aenaroth Description of Goals \ Background\ History: The Dragon Knights of Aenaroth are the military for the newer defender region Aenaroth, and take the recently more popular stance of defender regions such as RIA and TGW, which includes offensive operations against raider regions. Your information is incorrect, the event was posted in TSP Discord yesterday night and the TSP FA Discord was the planning site for some time now. The TSP involvement is significant when the Prime Minister, Minister of Military Affairs, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and SPSF Soldiers who Defend and Raid were involved in the planning

And my question is, aside from invading fascists, when was the last time the SPSF actually raided something? You claim that they both raid and defend, but I don't recall a time in recent history that they raided. In fact, I can only recall them working with the Grey Wardens on a regular basis.

We are pleased to announce that after an exceptionally active and positive election cycle with strong candidates, the South Pacific has elected Drugged Monkeys as delegate of the South Pacific.

DM has a long history in the South Pacific that includes serving as an Ambassador under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, serving as Minister of Justice twice, and serving the Military as Minister of Security under the SPA and NSA prior to the SPSF. Most recently he has served the region as Vice Delegate, and then three terms as Prime Minister, all the while serving on the CRS.

In his victory speech, DM stated:

I have written a speech, but I’m sure it will not fully express my gratitude.

First off I’d like to thank Seraph and Sam for both running clean, amazing campaigns.

Next I’d like to thank all the voters, and I mean ALL the voters! We had 114 voters this go-round, which makes this the Second Highest Voter Turnout in the RMB Delegate Election Round. All of you, the TSP Citizens, are what make this all possible. Without your participation and support, I would not be here today writing this speech.

I’ve dreamed of this moment ever since I stepped foot in this beautiful region, and now I will get the chance to see that dream become a reality. I don’t know what else to say besides Thank You. Thank You all for giving me this opportunity, I will not waste it.
