It was a normal day in Furby City, until Furbish Airways flight FAI-354 crashed half a kilometer away from Furby City's coast. It has 2.5 kilometers from the Furby City Harbor. Emergency services immediately reported to the scene. Miraculously, there were no deaths but many injuries. And the crash wasn't an accident, it was a hijacking. Five terrorists locked themselves into the cockpit, which was opened by the police. They were immediately send to FIMCC Maximum Security Prison to be interrogated. Soon after the crash, 13 cars ran into crowds of civilians. All drivers were shot, with 9 dead and 4 were sent to FIMCC Maximum Security Prison. At the same time, 21 people opened fire on crowds. All but one was fatally shot. Also in the Furby City Stock Exchange, 3 almost detonated bombs but were immediately stopped. A total of 31 people died that day, not including terrorists, and over 300 were injured. Fifteen more people died in a hospital shortly after the attacks.

It wasn't long after the attacks when the attackers' tie with SETRA has been confirmed. Furby City soon declared a state of emergency after the attacks. The following message was sent to all loudspeakers, televisions, and computers and phones:

And soon the PM's speech began. It was played everywhere in Furby Island. In the speech, he has stated the following:

It has occurred to me that most people don't even know what SETRA is. It is a terrorist organization that is based in the southeastern territories, and has a goal of establishing a Communist state in Furby Island. But we must know that the citizens of Matuatam North Lekati, and Alona have to deal the constant fear of attacks every day. The citizens in SETRA controlled territories live in similar conditions as in North Korea. This cannot last. The Southeastern Territories can't take them on on their own. We must launch an all out attack. The Democratic Economic Union of Nations will help us, and so will other foreign powers. But SETRA is supported by foreigners too. This will be a difficult fight, but when we defeat them, we may have a truly united Furby Island.

Zoo-Lee: Yes. The city might actually survive. Furby City's reinforcements should come any moment now.

General Boo-Kye: But currently your city relies too much on airdropped supplies. Anything can go wrong. Oil leak, plane crashes, or the runway gets sabotaged. And it takes a while for Furby City to get troops. So this has to work.

Zoo-Lee: Yes. But if only there were extra troops- wait. Are any countries helping us with this?

Boo-Kye: NATO and the EU are giving us monetary support, the UN did nothing besides condemning the terrorist attack, but the DEUN will help.

Koh-Nee: Well we have to get them over here.

Boo-Kye: Also Pacific Fleet Alpha will be deployed here. Now when they and Furby City's reinforcements come, it would be hard to get them. You need a plan to hold out.ere

Koh-Nee: I believe we can't for much longer. The current troops are exhausted, and are resting. We don't have enough manpower. Is there any way to get more troops without conscription?

A large motorcade drove over to the dock. Several people and their bodyguards walked out to greet the new arrivals. They included: Governor Koh-Nee(the governor of the Southeastern Territories), General Boo-Kye(the leader of the army), General Mee-Zye(the commander in chief of all armed forces in the Southeastern Territories), Admiral Doo-Loo(the commander in chief of Pacific Fleet Alpha), and General Ah-Lee(the leader of all reinforcements sent by Furby Island).

Governor Koh-Nee: Hello. I believe I know why both of you have come. I want to know how many troops and equipment that both of you brought.

He walked off the plane and onto the TARMAC where soldiers were prepping for combat. Their vehicles were being unloaded, and armor was already on the TARMAC. With the city on lock down they could use the TARMAC for a set up. They cleared out a terminal and most troops were already moving inside. They were moving out in an hour.

With the news of the multiple attacks spread internationally, Supreme Chancellor Frank Velasquez was in utter shock. He made a public address, condemning actions made by SETRA against the Furbish government. Velasquez sought to restore order back to its glory.

Nation of Warfare prepared to gather troop units to deploy the Furby Islands. The 54th Regiment would be the first. A unit which consisted of 3,500 troops. They would be deployed by battalions. So, the 1st Battalion, 54th Airborne Regiment would be the first unit of the 54th to be deployed. Troops boarded onto C-17 Globemasters. The unit also boarded 6 M1151 Humvees. The planes refueled and prepared for their maiden flight to the Furby Islands.

The Nation of Warfare sent multiple telegrams to the Furby Islands advising them about the incoming C-17s. The telegrams stated:

To whom it may concern,

We wish to notify you, that C-17 Cargo Aircraft belonging to the Nation of Warfare are on their way towards the Furby Islands. We request a fighter escort once the aircraft are just a mile from your nations airspace. The troops drop zone would be at the city of Hoku. Though we wish to have our C-17s refueled at West Niugai Base if possible, so our cargo aircraft can return to the Nation of Warfare Homeland. We await for a response.

Premier Rodger Red of Meridia sat aboard the personal premier transport, the Sierra Four, watching the Furbish Prime Minister delivering his speech. He is not pleased; watching the communists unleashing acts of terrorism. Not only did this harm their chances of bringing a better future, but it also gave the Prime Minister some legitimacy to his words. The rumors of SETRA territories are unfounded at the moment and could merely be propaganda from him.

The Furbish government is supported by DEUN and various more nations. Far as Redding knew, the only foreigners actually supporting them were either "freedom fighters" operating without government assistance, and the Red Union of Soviet Meridia. The Meridian forces themselves aren't very capable; the great majority of their tech either comes from the deceased USSR or from Chinese communists. Far as Reed knows, they aren't bothering to step into this fight either. Meridia used to receive some equipment and assistance from the USA despite their communist background, due to Soviet Meridia being an alliance between Cuba, El Salvador, Mexico and Meridia. Relations have gone sour after constant immigration and decreasingly competent politicians from both sides.

Meridia was founded among an international agreement following a democratically-elected communist government in Mexico. The only time Meridia has used their armies were under foreign military aid projects, and usually the other nations were informed in advance. This situation is a little different. Rodger Red isn't happy about the Furbish government taking part in the War on Terror, which Meridia deems illegitimate and an excuse to invade and exploit resources at the cost of the people. Meridia is also concerned about the Furbish Islands becoming increasingly corporate-leaning with their policies, and don't want the Furbish government to look like America's, which Meridia deems as more than enough corruption.

While it would be preferred to help the Liberal Party a bit, Meridia is sure that their time may very well be gone. Although SETRA is a violent solution to the problems with the Furbish Islands, it is better than letting more civilians die overseas for the sake of already well-off businessmen.

General Sasha Reed is assigned to oversee the entirety of Operation Fur Ball. The goal is to send several troops, tanks and supplies to the SETRA islands. From there, they will group up with the soldiers around Matuata and assist them in pushing East to the Furbish military base. General Reed will mainly be operating around Lonva. The Premier himself is on board his personal flight to Lifulau as part of a message to the rest of SETRA that they are not completely without support of foreign governments. While it will take anywhere from three days to a week for General Reed to arrive, Premier Red's arrival is a matter of hours.

When he steps off the Sierra Four, Premier Redding is greeted by SETRA's most loyal supporters.

We have just arrived in the Furby islands, and I'm a little nervous, I must admit. I'm serving my compulsory military service, and this is going to be my first conflict. They always say if you can survive your baptism of fire, you may make it pretty far in the war. My parents both served and always tried to get me to enlist, but I much rather would be working on the card at the auto shop.

Today our commander, General Thomson met with the leaders of the Furby Islands. I think a lot of our senior command thinks this will be a quick war, but I personally believe otherwise. I for one know what our enemies can do

They got negative attention, and it turned the conflict from a regional one to an international one. But it had good effect too. SETRA knew everyone would hate them. Most of Furby Island doesn't support Communism. There is a Socialist Party, but it is very small and only believes in a government similar to the Nordic countries, which still means a Capitalist economy. But SETRA's goal was to get attention and possible allies around the world. They knew they succeeded when someone from Soviet Meridia visited the capital.

Militants and SETRA supporters greeted them as they arrived. The leader of SETRA, Zee-Kee, has walked over to personally greet them.

HMNS Foster literally creaked as she carved her way through the waves, she was the first aircraft carrier ever to be purpose-built for the Imperial Navy and she was showing her age. Finished and commissioned in May 1921, Foster had just come out from five years of repairs, refits and retrofits and looked as shiny as a new penny, the carrier was tiny by modern standards especially compared to its great-great-grandson the magnificent King James class Supercarrier but it was large enough to be classed as a Light Carrier in the Imperial Navy. The Foster Class was certainly a brilliant vessel at the time of its construction, certainly a diamond in the rough for carrier development, dozens had been built in the Second Magna Europan War due to their efficiency and low cost but by now only eight survived, all of which still in active service.

Her commander on this occasion was the decorated Romulus Admiral Salvadore Geronimo, former commander of the Third Squadron of the Colonial Fleet and later the Operation Indigo Task Force, this time he found himself in command of a small task force of eight warships and twelve transport vessels along with landing vessels headed for the Southeastern Furbish Isles where Communist rebels rose up and seized several islands and cities in the region, the Ministry of Defence in cooperation with the Imperial General's Staff decided to send a task force to the region to help restore order. Geronimo would be in joint command of this group along with the darling of the tabloid newspapers the newly gazetted Major General Henry Tellon, a pretty boy, youthful officer of a tender 21 years whom Geronimo hated with a passion for his schoolboy's spirit and lustful antics.

Almost twenty-one thousand men made up the ground forces of the Furbish Islands Task Force, this group consisted of the Seventeen thousand troops of the First Owayan Rifle Division which was a colonial unit and an extra three thousand men of the Royal Elford Lancers, a tank brigade hailing from Western Vionna. The Owayan Rifles were a new unit, the colony of Owaya was forbidden from raising indigenous military units for a decade beforehand as a result of a Communist uprising twelve years ago. The Elford Lancers were, on the other hand, an old division that historically formed part of the First Royal Glamorgan Lancers but in this instance, they were acting as an independent unit.

Only twenty-eight aircraft made up the Task Force's air wing, this being the Carrier Air Group of HMNS Foster. A simple combination of eight Tenfield Mark Eleven Interceptors armed with the Hellspawn, an air-to-air adaptation of the exceptional Harbinger SAM, along with ten Striker Mark Fours and a further ten Mark One Wasps made for a perfect balance between Interceptors, Attack Aircraft and Air Superiority Fighters. Many of these planes were crewed by exiled personnel from Germana and Baden Von Maplehurst, men who had very little left to lose, even their lives were not forfeit in many cases, those had been ruined or taken entirely months ago by the Belvanian and Prodavan occupations of their respective nations. These broken men could only hope for revenge and the Vionna-Frankenlischians sought to give them that, however, their times were not the present and these pilots and aircrews still had to prove themselves, this deployment seemed the perfect chance.

So this rag-tag band of hastily strung together units and vessels made their way towards the Southeastern Furbish Isles, diligently awaiting their fate. Their first objective, relief, more specifically of the besieged city of Matuata...

Today, its grey outside. Our commanders told us we were shipping out to the besieged city of Matuata. I was extremely nervous as we approached, and I could hear gunfire and artillery booming in the distance. Sergeant Corcoran told us that the city needed saving, so we could push into the SETRA front lines and sweep across the south into Lonva on our push towards Lifulau.

They think the corporations should be free from the people, when it is the people who are required to get anything accomplished! They think taxes from the government are paramount to theft, when it is an inevitable system of any proper country. Despite this, they feel companies should be taxed least in spite of them having the most wealth. They don't even believe in public healthcare. Your live isn't a right, but a luxury, and the wealthy want to buy as much of it as they can. You though? You are expected to either be homeless and die, or work hours to the bone for little pay and expected to shrug off your mangled fingers over a bottle of aspirin!

In Soviet Meridia, we have a saying: If you will not treat your children with respect, then you deserve no children at all. In terms of a nation, a government that does not treat their people with respect is a government that deserves no people at all. SETRA will either scare Big Noo out of the Furbish Islands, or it will toss him into the waters! He and his ilk had many opportunities to set things right, and they all go in the wrong directions! No affordable healthcare to the masses, mass deregulation and tax cuts, and their interest with the War on Terror. All of this is leading up to their own undoing. They should've given the pacifist liberals and socialists a bigger voice. Now? They face the booming, violent cannons of communism!

The Big Coward Noo is not alone though; DEUN and other international bodies gather to defend their corporate interests. While SETRA may not be entirely innocent, Big Noo and his supporters hide their own sins. Soviet Meridia will not be this easily fooled. As I speak, Meridian General Sasha Reed is deploying many forces to SETRA territory. General Reed has a history of providing excellent defense by means of a good offense. The Furbish Matuata base will see itself crumble under both our forces.

If this reaches Big Noo's ears, he should listen carefully: If you wish to survive, then you should flee the Furbish Islands immediately. If you wish for your people to live, then you'll surrender in advance and listen to SETRA's conditional terms. Even if you manage to win this war, there will always be someone out there with a thirst for revenge. A victory against SETRA will only delay revolution for a few more years. Maybe just months even. After that? Whoever replaces SETRA will go far beyond the death and destruction we're seeing right now. Are you sure you want all that bloodshed in your country, just for a million Furbucks more?

The Cabinet, or rather, Council of Ministers of the People's Republic, as well as members of the Chief of Staff of the People's Army, officers of various military and foreign intelligence organizations and highest-ranking officials of the Workers' Party gathered in the underground bunker where they had congregated often to discuss and ferment the next steps to building Kuzag into a socialist paradise or to strengthen the standing of socialism in the world. Today it was an occasion for the later. Intelligence officers presented the case on the SETRA insurgency or rather "revolutionary war of liberation" to the 'Triumvirate', which consisted of the Premier, the Party General Secretary, and the head of the Party Military Committee, three men that when combined were those wielding all power in the People's Republic. The three would deliberate amongst themselves but it took no long time for them to agree there was a need to aid the 'revolutionary brothers' in the Furbish Islands, to them it was just another capitalist oppressive state waiting to be overthrown (or rather in the process of being overthrown), its large size did not factor at all into their considerations of aid. Even mice could slay elephants, the proverbs said.

The question of yes or no was answered. Next, came the question of how. Obviously, financial and material aid would be given, funds would be wired and transferred to the hands of the 'freedom-fighters' using assets and facilities the People's Republic had, and some unmarked freighters absent of nationality were always more than capable of delivering assault rifles and explosives to the hands of the newborn popular military. Those would be guaranteed. But the Kuzagi leadership wished to dedicate more into the cause of global revolution. They were quick to realize that the next step, only logically possible one, would be to send fighters to the Islands. The generals in the room smiled in unison.

It was thus decided in multiple batches a total of 1,500 soldiers of the Kuzagi People's Army would be deployed to the Furbish Islands, they would arrive on freighters that would also carry the materiel aid Kuzag would deliver to SETRA. A portion of them would help train SETRA to help increase their troops' combat effectiveness, while the rest will be directly thrown into combat operations. They stood against an enemy, no, many enemies, a force of perhaps a total of hundreds of thousands with a ship compliment larger than several nations' navies. Some were concerned the deployment would be fruitless, worrying for mothers, wives and children, others worrying for diplomatic hurricanes Kuzag might find itself entangled by with the troop detachment. Their statements were dismissed, of course. Such petty matters would matter not in comparison to the grand cause of global socialist revolution.

In Soviet Meridia, we have a saying: If you will not treat your children with respect, then you deserve no children at all. In terms of a nation, a government that does not treat their people with respect is a government that deserves no people at all. SETRA will either scare Big Noo out of the Furbish Islands, or it will toss him into the waters! He and his ilk had many opportunities to set things right, and they all go in the wrong directions! No affordable healthcare to the masses, mass deregulation and tax cuts, and their interest with the War on Terror. All of this is leading up to their own undoing. They should've given the pacifist liberals and socialists a bigger voice. Now? They face the booming, violent cannons of communism!

The Big Coward Noo is not alone though; DEUN and other international bodies gather to defend their corporate interests. While SETRA may not be entirely innocent, Big Noo and his supporters hide their own sins. Soviet Meridia will not be this easily fooled. As I speak, Meridian General Sasha Reed is deploying many forces to SETRA territory. General Reed has a history of providing excellent defense by means of a good offense. The Furbish Matuata base will see itself crumble under both our forces.

If this reaches Big Noo's ears, he should listen carefully: If you wish to survive, then you should flee the Furbish Islands immediately. If you wish for your people to live, then you'll surrender in advance and listen to SETRA's conditional terms. Even if you manage to win this war, there will always be someone out there with a thirst for revenge. A victory against SETRA will only delay revolution for a few more years. Maybe just months even. After that? Whoever replaces SETRA will go far beyond the death and destruction we're seeing right now. Are you sure you want all that bloodshed in your country, just for a million Furbucks more?

The entire speech was broadcasted everywhere, including all loudspeakers in all major cities, the House of Parliament, all buildings where the government works, and all Furbish military bases. The citizens' first reaction was hysterical laughter. The MP's reactions were soon played:

Liberal Party MP: I think this guy should understand that if Furby Island was really as horrible as he mentioned in his speech, we'd be getting about 1490 out of 1500 seats in Parliament.

Conservative Party MP: I still don't understand why Communists think all Capitalist nations oppress the working class. If it was true, the death rate would be high, and the life expectancy would be low. It is the opposite in Furby Island. Also if it was true, people would flee to other nations, although that only seemed to be happening in Communist nations.

Capitalist Party MP: My family is working class. Please explain to me why I'm in the Capitalist Party , even though workers are "getting oppressed".

In Sagala, General Boo-Kye could not stop laughing for 5 minutes. They have revealed their plan prematurely. And what they don't know is that Furby Island can send hundreds of thousands of troops within a few hours. He called and ordered troops to be sent there.

"Well they still need to actually get here. But the planes are already here. Do you have anywhere private we can discuss strategy? Because if not well theirs my ship." Roman gestures for them to come into his ship.

Pvt.James Collins, 1st Regiment, 2nd Battalion, C company
We were now on the outskirts of Matuata, and the gunshots were now directed at us. Our seargent Davis yelled at us to break through the SETRA lines, so we could link up with the besieged troops in the city. Our company is pinned down by a rock outcropping, and we've already lost Pfc.Louis. After what seemed like days of fire directed at our position, it stopped. GO GO GO! SILENCE THAT MACHINE GUN NEST! I ran, bullets hitting the ground around me from all the rifle fire. I ran up to the nest, put my gun to the gunners head, and fired. I now feel sick thinking about how I killed that man. War is terrible. We ended up taking the first line of SETRA forces, but were told to dig in and rest for the night. From here I can see the ruined buildings of Matuata.

Today the men of 1st regiment drove into the SETRA forces besieging the city from the east. We were able to take out most of the first line of SETRA forces with only 100 casualties. Though I reckon there are still pockets of resistance here. We still have SETRA forces on the north, west, and south sides of the city as well. The first better not run into any tanks, as we only have a couple anti-tank weapons in that regiment. They're pretty much doomed if they come under attack from tanks.

3rd Battalion, 54th Airborne Regiment

The 3rd Battalion was the first of the 54th to deploy to the Furby Islands. The troops parachuted onto a island west of the island of Hoku.
Upon landing, troops dig themselves into small foxholes scouting the jungles and field. Supplies were dropped by C-17s to enable troops to construct a military base. The unit was consisted of 495 troops. B Company which consisted of 85 troops, was in charge of patrol. The troops scouted the next 475 yards which was pure jungle. Due to the early hours, sunlight was limited.



Back at the constructed camp, they named it Camp Leatherworth.

Hoku, Hoku Island, The Furby Islands

C-17s landed after their permission was granted, however they still followed procedures with air traffic control. C-17s refueled and pilots got their rest, but sooner or later it was time to fly back home.

Nation of Warfare

Back in the homeland, the Supreme Chancellor was in his large war room. His generals were discussing moves and tactics that Nation of Warfare uses to counter SETRA.

-"Sir, we have confirmation that a battalion of the 54th Airborne Regiment has landed at their targeted landing zone, and have commenced the construction of a military base.

Frank - "Good, now we send our construction vehicles to create a landing strip. As soon as was can do that, it'll be less frustrating for us to move troops around.

-"Sir, our naval fleet is just 25 miles west off the coast of the island nation."

Frank- "Contact them, and inform them that as soon as they can, to begin with their carrier operations."

Frank- "Transportation and mobility is what's against right now."

Arcadian Operations Command Center

They set up base in an international airport that was empty by the time they got here. They are near the borders of the Furbish government and communism forces. He walked down the hallway to the command center, several operations to capture high ranking communist leaders was to go in effect soon. They had helicopters prepped and crews ready to go. The plan was to secure a perimeter around the target building with soldiers deployed by helicopter while a convoy moves into the city and retrieves the prisoners. They were sending J-SOT in for this operation, one team of four people will be sent in with the rest of the soldiers that will be on the mission.

Message to all Vionna-Frankenlischian Forces on the eve of battle

Soldiers of the First Owayan Rifles and of the Royal Elford Lancers.

Tomorrow is a day which you will remember for the rest of your lives, it is the day that many of you will see combat for the first time, it is the day that you will recount to your children and grandchildren as the day that you did your bit in combating communism and socialism and upholding the honest laws of man. You will be tested, many of us will have to give sacrifices to win the day, some may be wounded and some may even have to give up their lives in the engagement. However, we are all servicemen under the command of His Imperial Majesty, the king, and I have no doubts that every man will do what is asked of him to secure victory.

There are other forces fighting within the city, Furbish Island loyalists and other allied units that aim to push out the red menace, these are noble men who will fight alongside you, treat them as brothers and comrades and we will find no quarrel with them. The fleet will provide air and naval support to help you in your struggle. Unfortunately, Major General Tellon has been too busy to address you himself but I have taken the liberty of writing this little piece to be distributed amongst you.

Sailors and aircrew scuttled about the carrier making last minute checks and preparations, tomorrow would mark an important day for the Furbish Islands Task Force. The Owayan Rifles would be the first unit ashore, their two Rifle Brigades taking the lead, quickly followed by the Divisional Engineers, these units would make a pincer attack on the besieging SETRA forces and cut off a large portion of the attacking troops. This done, the troops within the city and the Owayan Rifles, which should have been reinforced with the Lancers and artillery by this time, would tighten the noose on SETRA units until they were forced to surrender. In conjunction with other forces in the area, the Owayan Rifles and Elson Lancers would push the likely small remainder of SETRA forces from the island.
