Personality: Ignazio was, ever, a calm and stable man. He rarely shows his emotions. When he is happy, he only smiled. When he is sad, he shows no expression, only one tear running down his eyes, is all. When he is angry, he keeps quiet, and did his revenge fast and quietly. Not like other heirs, Ignazio was a quiet, yet clever and cunning man, doing his job while waiting for his father to make a sucession letter for him. And he is somewhat a very secretive person.

Ignazio was born in Treviso, Venice at 8th of March in the Folatelli Mansion. His father was the ever-powerful Maurizio Folatelli, a trader, a duke, a bank owner, a bureaucrat, anything you expect as a wealthy and good father. Since a very young age, Ignazio has shown interests at money, books and trading, where he has stoled his mother's precious silks and successfully sold it to his childhood friends. Seeing his potential, Maurizio often brings him in his trade voyages, to Aragon, Valencia, Napoli, Genoa, Constantinople, Alexandria, France and England, and even as far as Stockholm and the Danelaw regions. At a young age of 16, he began schooling at the University of Padua, Venice. The quiet and calm Ignazio was the best student at class, and soon he graduated and find a job.

As a trader he starts his life at Venice, away from his father, and soon became the most successful and famous merchant in Murano and San Pietro. Using his wealth he keeps his store at Venice in hands of his friend Enrico Busoni. And then he ventures for a trade journey to Constantinople. Years and years passed he returned to Venice. What he gets is that Busoni has taken Ignazio's belonging and wealth into his own, betraying Ignazio at the process. Ignazio was full of rage. Quietly he hired a mercenary group to subdue Busoni while fabricating his claims at his own wealth. In his process he was sucessful, and soon Busoni was throwed to jail by the Doge.

By then when he was on his one of trade journeys, he was going to the ports of Genoa. When he was setting prices of silks and statues there with some meechant, another merchant came, and introduces himself as Alfonso of Aragón. He bought almost all Ignazio's goods, while bronging his daughter Maria there. He talks about his relations to King Ferdinand of Aragon, and how his uncle was a Trastamara, the ruling family of Spain at the time. Ignazio's love quickly fall into Maria, and asked his father for permission to wed; his father permit him mainly because Maria's father was a relative of House Trastamara. Now he sets out a major trade in Dalmatia, and lived in the coastal city of Dubrovnik Croatia, and builded a castle there. His Venetian holdings he gave to his father to use, and together he and Maria has a son.

History of the House: The story of the family of di Dax goes back all the way to the beginning of the Norman Invasion, in the lands of Gascony, in Dax. Lop-Arnaut had two sons before death, the first inherited as usual, and the second? The obvious, he became the founder as Pons de Dax(as it was called back then), became a merchant. They actually began in Genoa, where he got off the western Mediterranean trade, becoming a somewhat rich man. He already had began a sizable family and business when he got into a scuffle with a major Genoese family, and before his assets were frozen, he fled with all of his things, his business, and his family, to the Po river valley in 1179. Here they would start more businesses, and one son even married his way to a barony by the Veronan coast, and one branch was able to hold on to power for quite some time in a city as mayors and powerful courtiers. Pons' great grandson, Callisto, would then leave for Venice with his son Janus in the 1250s.

Here, using funds from his family, as well as some given assets, was he able to quickly gain money in the city, and power as well. The di Dax family became a player in Venetian politics when Baldassare "the Clever" inherited his grandfather Callisto's business from his father Janus in 1278. From there he strategically grew his business as well as becoming the steward(CK2 term/thing) of the Doge at the year 1280, from that position, he grew his business, his coffers, and his power. Remember that city and its di Dax mayors? Well, Baldassare was able to scheme his way to becoming mayor, and he eventually vassalized that city, expanding Venice and furthering the Clever's power. Baldassare "the Clever" died early in the year of 1330, aged 61, and outliving his sonless successor, and his power was transferred to his 34 year old, equally shrewd son named Antonio.

Antonio was the one who truly began expansion in the Atlantic, setting up trading posts in the Veronan coast, as well as a few not so successful in Dalmatia. He lived long like his father, dying on the year 1381, October 8. Succeed by his weak son, who somehow was able to live long even if the odds were stacked against him, he was called Callisto "the Old", and he died in 1435. He was succeeded by his son, who we are playing right now, Attilio di Dax...

Personality: Cold and calculating, and always seems distant, though befriend him and find an honorable man, and a good friend. He is warm to all of his family members, his wife, and his friends, and can become the Devil for his enemies if they sufficiently anger him enough. He tends to find joy in counting coin and building things, which he has aptitude in, and thus currently the steward of the current Doge. He is a bit enthusiastic in eating things though, but thanks to good genetics, the food is turned into muscle instead of fat, though a small belly is growing.
Detailed Bio: Born to his father Callisto "the Old" on a fair sunny summer day on July 29, he was given the name Attilio. At the time, Callisto was getting old, and was getting desperate for a son and heir to the family, and so Attilio was raised by the best, as he was the only one who would inherit. This resulted in a strong, shrewd, cold and calculating, as well as diligent young man, but due to his pampering, he gained his delight in eating and drinking, though he did not go to extremes at the latter, as not to get a reputation as a drunkard.

He became the diplomat of his father, and from there he honed his diplomatic skills, and by the time his father finally died, instead of a dull tongued man, a man perfect on every field came and inherited without any difficulties at all. He inherited at the age of 23, and during his early times of being head of the family, he grew its estate, its trading posts, which now stretched from Portugal, all the way to Brittany, and much more.

Personality: Strong, shrewd, and stubborn are just a few words that have been used to describe María Luisa. She knows she's living in a man's world, but if someone thinks they can take advantage over her due to her being in the weaker sex they have another thing coming.
Detailed Bio: It's been 25 years since her brother, August Cavaliere, patriarch of the Cavaliere family, came to power. As the eldest sister she worked closely with August to ensure stability within the family. She is truly a representative of tradition and order: utilizing her understanding of what is right, wrong, and socially acceptable to bring her family together. Since a young age she has embraced the values of honesty, dedication, and dignity. Her family was of low nobility, but her mannerisms and dress would suggest otherwise; her frequent attendance in parties gave her an interesting advantage: she could gossip with the wives of the well-known dukes and princes and use this information however she wished at the bargaining table. Some call it blackmail, but no one says it too loudly around her.

She moved from Venice to Salzburg 10 years ago to further influence the lucrative trade of both Vienna and Munich. Her age is beginning to show, proving some difficulty in gaining attendance in the parties she needs to maintain her status and further her family's cause. She no longer travels to Vienna, but maintains correspondence through letters. She does travel to the lower court in Munich, but the Bavarians are tiring of their aging Italian guest. They know her connections in trade are powerful, but her physical attendance in court will no longer be necessary.

Personality: Maurizio is one of the more dangerous members of his family. His career as a merchant is marked with violence and shady dealings which have made him into a cunning, manipulative plotter only concerned with his own benefit. His political ambitions are lackluster and in that regard he wishes for his son to become the heir to house Foix in Navarra. His main concern is money and power, domination of trade in Greece and the eastern portion of the Mediterranean are his ultimate goals. He has a certain love for imported Brittany Wine. He is rather paranoid as a result of his shadier business and frequently has food tasters and bodyguards among his entourage. His relationship with his family is cold yet reliable. He has a particular fondness for his young daughter Elena.
Detailed Bio:
Maurizio was born the third son to Maurizio Senior and Countess Anna von Oldenburg. His birth was a troubling one that nearly caused the death of his mother, lasting well into the second night of her labor. When he was finally born it was said he didn't breath his first breath until four minutes past his entry into the world. From his birth to the age of three his care was undertaken mainly by the maids of the estate. When he was nine years of age he stowed away on his fathers ships, a wine ship from Crete. It was on this ship and this brief venture at sea that he met his future mentor, an experienced and brilliant sailor by the name of Konstantinos Demarchis. When he was twelve years old he was found in the families cellar, torturing rats with a knife stolen from the kitchens. He received a severe punishment for the act but would still go on to attend Padua Venice at the age of sixteen, much like his brothers.

While attending he also found instruction in Konstantinos, who taught him many valuable skills he would go on to remember in his later years. He went on to graduate as an above average pupil but was prone to manipulative and violent behavior to the instructors and his peers. Almost immediately his father decided on a marriage with House Foix at an expensive dowry. Following his marriage to a young and beautiful Juana of Foix a child was conceived. Maurizio took a loan from his father and bought a trade ship before sailing to Naxos. Bribery managed to bring in a small share of the wine production. Seeing the early prospect of financial ruin he began resorting to more brutal methods of destroying his competition. Assassination, Sabotage, Extortion and Blackmail earned him control not just of Naxos Wine production and exportation but of the entire economic system of the island. Before long he'd dipped his hands into selling oils, pottery and even exotic goods traveling from the Middle East to those in Venice from Naxos. From Naxos he amassed sizeable wealth which he used to fund his sons expeditions and entry of the markets on Crete and Dalmatia.
