Exhibit A
Although our nation's flag currently flies to the left, if we do CTE, there's an image of the flag on the right for posterity.

1.] What is its Meaning? (colors/stripes/symbols) The top brown bar represents our mining industry. The middle blue bar represents our urbanisation (not surprisingly - we're a city, dammit!). The bottom orange-yellow bar represents... erm, our beach.
2.] If your flag has symbols or insignias, what do they represent?
3.] Explain The Flag's Origin Apparently an ancient flag design dating back to Tinhampton becoming a city, or before that. We don't know, but certainly in use around 1850-ish.
4.] Who Designed it? Hell if I know. The records of that are probably lost to time.
5.] Is It Commemorating Someone Or Something? No, I can tell you that now (at least!).
Image
Exhibit B
6.] Does It Have More Than One Version? (old/new) The Experimental Communist Republic (which couped in 1958) flew the flag in Exhibit B.

For OOC clarification purposes, both flags were designed in Microsoft Paint.

(1) What is its Meaning? (colors/stripes/symbols) For this post; I will be referencing this flag... the black stripes represent the industry and the black sands of the nation's beaches. The red represents the bloodshed and sacrifices the people have made in order to preserve democracy; as well as the fires of the industrial furnaces.

(2) If your flag has symbols or insignias, what do they represent?
The Washed-Upon-Castle within the shield is an age old symbol that dates to the original colonization of Zeclil. Castle Zalkyll was a large, coastal fortress that was famously bombarded and seiged by Zeclilan Rebels during the Transition to Independence. The Siege of Castle Zalkyll took place during a large storm, so the image was memorialized on the flag.

(3) Explain The Flag's Origin
The flag was derived from an old provincial flag of Colinial Zeclil, the design was first made by a gentleman named Sir Edgar Whizenauer. The flag was used commonly in the Transition to Independence by members of the Sovereignty Party and the Brother's Revolution.

(4) Who Designed it?
As stated above, a Zeclilan by the name of Sir Edgar Whizenauer, a prominent member of the Brother's Revolution.

(5) It Commemorating Someone Or Something?
As stated above, the charge is memorializes the Siege of Castle Zalkyll.

(6) Does It Have More Than One Version? (old/new)
Although the design is completely different, this design is now commonly used alongside the original flag.

If your flag has symbols or insignias, what do they represent? N/A. The symbol (the Shahada) was removed from the flag, as well as the two stars that were to the left and right of the Shahada.
Explain The Flag's Origin Gold and green are the colors of the Maliz people, these colors were added for self pride for the Maliz people. There is no historical relevence with the current flag.
Who Designed it? Mapa Ibrahim Cortesão
It Commemorating Someone Or Something? No, it is not.
Does It Have More Than One Version? (old/new)

This was the original version, with the symbols.
Image
The same flag, but turned horizontal.
Image
This is the flag that features the different ethnic groups of Malizistan, with the Maliz (gold, green black) on top, Portuguese (red and green - I know the green comes before the red on the Portuguese flag but it wouldn't have looked well with the Turkish one), and the Turkish, should be easily identifiable.

Who Designed it? The first premier of New Transeurasia(Premier 1957-1965), Xhon Majku (Jon Mayku)
It Commemorating Someone Or Something? No.
Does It Have More Than One Version? (old/new) Yes. The old version had the blue stripe as a triangle and the white stripe as a diagonal line between the blue triangle and the red. And the communist symbols used to be further away from the left edge and the star used to be just about barely visible because the old flag only had the edge of the star. The new one is the current flag.

What is its meaning?
The blue-green bicolour flag of Arendelle is not a new one; it has been around for hundreds of years. So we are not exactly sure what the colours represented originally, although the sea / ice / snow for blue and nature / vegetation for green are widely accepted guesses.

If your flag has symbols or insignias, what do they represent?

Explain the flag's origin:
In about the 11th century AD, merchant ships of the Kingdom of Arendelle started displaying blue-green ensigns. Somewhere around that time, the Kingdom adopted that bicolour with a golden crocus flower in the centre for its banners and royal standards. When Phoenix Empress Helga assumed power in 2009, she removed the crocus flower symbol from the flag and switched the design from a vertical to horizontal bicolour. She did that to mark a departure from the old Kingdom.

Who designed it?
Unknown.

Is it commemorating someone or something?

Does it have more than one version?
Since the establishment of the Phoenix Empire of Arendelle, the old royal flag is no longer officially recognised.

Arendelle or Árnadal is a mountainous country located on an island in the northern Atlantic Ocean. Though it is an absolute monarchy, the country has excellent civil rights and progressive social policies.

The Azine people have used the sea for trade, food, and war for as long as there have been Azines.
If your flag has symbols or insignias, what do they represent? N/A
Explain The Flag's Origin It was based on the coat of arms of the Antigulos dynasty, who reigns strong to this day.
Who Designed it? Ankara Antigulos IV, the first emperor of the Azaes
It Commemorating Someone Or Something? The entire Antigulos dynasty, as well as the cultural heritage all Azines share

What is its Meaning? (colors/stripes/symbols): The gold on the hoist side represents the rich past and traditions of our country, the blue in the middle represents the Pacific Ocean, while the two green stars symbolize the two islands. The white stripe on the fly side represents hope and peace for the future.
If your flag has symbols or insignias, what do they represent?: The two stars in the middle represent the islands that make up our nation.
Explain The Flag's Origin: The flag was first used by anti-colonial rebels in the 1840s as a symbol of their struggle, and upon independence in 1848, was used as an unofficial flag of our nation until finally being made official in 1889.
Who Designed it?: The exact designer is unknown, most of the rebel leaders credit their leader and future first President Kuan Inoke to have designed it, but Inoke has vehemently denied ever doing so, even on his death bed.
It Commemorating Someone Or Something?: No
Does It Have More Than One Version? (old/new): There's a "war" version of the flag, which is identical to the official flag, only the white stripe is now red. It was only used during the Japanese occupation of our nation from 1942 to 1943.

What is its Meaning? (colors/stripes/symbols) The rich maroon represents the sacrifice and bravery of our ancestors, traveling far from their homeland in the Aegean to settle fertile new lands. The ivory stripes are the guiding principles which have shaped our society. And the Fox within a laurel wreath calls back to a time when we needed cunning to achieve victory.
If your flag has symbols or insignias, what do they represent? Answered in previous question.
Explain The Flag's Origin The Most Serene Republic may now be an Aristocratic state ruled by a Council of powerful Clans, we still appreciate the heady days when we needed a strong central Executive Official like the Emperor. Thus we keep mostly intact the flag of our first Imperators.
Who Designed it? The last of our elected Aisymnetai (Tyrants), Agapios XXI, offered up the now venerable design. Though back then, the Willow Tree graced the inside of the laurel wreath. [the willow being Agapios' clan sigil]
It Commemorating Someone Or Something? Nothing specifically, beyond Kaiserholt as a whole.
Does It Have More Than One Version? (old/new) Until the Late Empire, the Clan ruling as Imperator would place their sigil within the wreath. However, as the Clans' collective power began to outstrip that of the Imperator, the Domus Fundus voted to make the sacred Silver Fox our permanent symbol.

Mine is an alternate State Of Illinois (USA) flag, made by a Devaintart user
The red stars mean (1) Fort Dearborn, (2) Chicago Fire of 1871, (3) 1893 World's Columbian Expo., (4) 1933 World's Century of Progress Expo.,

The fleur de lis represents the French colony during that time, The ''1818'' means the year Illinois became a state,
Blue means the water around the area, (Lake Michigan, Chicago River, Calumet Lake, etc.)
The yellow means the crops that are grown in Illinois,
Green means the green areas around the area.
White means hope for the future of the state of Illinois.

Explain The Flag's Origin The current flag has its origins in a banner flown by the old Saurian Republic in its heyday two millennia ago, having been designed and adopted in 1829.
Who Designed it? By Juliana Basilea Carideo, a patriotic seamstress who was working at a textile factory in the town of Palerrheni in Mesozoica
It Commemorating Someone Or Something? It was designed in commemoration of the bicentennial anniversary of the Saurisian Unification in 1629.
Does It Have More Than One Version? (old/new) Besides the old historical flag, there is also a war flag, which has the main two colors (red and green) reversed. In addition, there is also a variation of the old Saurian flag, flown by various Saurian Supremacists, which has the Skull emblem moved to the right and a highly stylized 'D' in the upper left corner, representing their belief of 'Saurisia for the Saurians'.

What is its Meaning? (colors/stripes/symbols) The colors of our flag are green, yellow and red with a single lightning bolt through the center. The green represents our country itself the green of the jungle and nature around us and the yellow of the sun and the red color of the blood and passion of our people.
If your flag has symbols or insignias, what do they represent? The lightning bolt is extra because our nation literally is "island of storms" because of the erratic and turbulent weather in the country.
Explain The Flag's Origin The design was proposed by Valenzuela our grand dictator and chief, she chose the colors that she felt it represent the nation best.
Who Designed it? Valenzuela
It Commemorating Someone Or Something? Some of it does also go back to the revolution where we toppled our monarchy so the red of blood and passion can symoblize that.
Does It Have More Than One Version? (old/new) It's the one and only version thus far.

What is its Meaning? (colors/stripes/symbols) The Black represents the blackness of space, the branches next to the moon represent the democratic nature of the country, and the blue and yellow band don't really mean anything.
If your flag has symbols or insignias, what do they represent? The Moon represents the "Crown Colony" of the Cooperative and also represents the current Space Rush occurring at the moment, signifying the evolution of Humanity
Explain The Flag's Origin Before 2080, the Cooperative didn't really have a flag as it wasn't necessary, but as other powers on Earth rose to begin to contest the Cooperative, a flag was in need. The current flag was developed to commemorate the progress of the Cooperative, as well an identity for the nation
Who Designed it? I've had it saved for so long i do not know
It Commemorating Someone Or Something? nothing IRL
Does It Have More Than One Version? (old/new) Nope

The New Hayesalian flag, designed originally as the flag of the Hayesalian Union, represents the ideals and landscape of New Hayesalia. The Hayestolian Sun appears centered on the flag, representing ‘good health upon your properties.’

The dark blue bars represent the sea which separates though draws together the New Hayesalian people.

The red bars represent the spirit and heart of New Hayesalian determination.

The green bars represent the rich natural environment, and the white bars represent the clean slate that New Hayesalia has been given, freed from the Civil War and inter-provincial feuds of the 1700s.

The light blue bar represents the spirit of inspiration and sincerity.
