"Humanity And Technology Would Never Be The Same"

The year was 2018. Project Artificia, headed by companies from Japan and the US, created cybernethic beings such as Cyborgs (Humans with cybernethic parts) and Androids (humanoid robots). Technology improved and helped advance society in the following years. AI became reality and the Luddite movement stood no chance. Space colonization began on a low scale and space militarization was legalized through the "Apollo Protocol" in 2024.
However, in 2032, many Androids began acting aggressive towards Humans and a few Cyborgs soon follow suit. Android-led riots erupted and caused chaos across the world. People were killed, shops, schools and other buildings razed to the ground, a few technology being stolen and vehicles vandalized with people inside. After the riots ceased, a strong technophobic movement rose up and demanded an end to technological advancement. Many governments didn't give a damn and rather blamed the robotic riots on hackers. They then repressed the angry technophobes, leading to both formation of radical groups and resurgence of already-existing ones such as the Terra Prime, the "International Association of Humans against Cyborgization" (IAHC), the Human Workers' Union, the Terran Resistance Movement, the Primitive Party of Japan, the "Movement for a New Paris Agreement", the Catholic League for Prohibition of Science (CPLS), the Green Movement for Direct Action, the Green Restoration Party of Germany, the Green Union of British Humanists, the Nordic Association for Primitive Life, the Green Bolivarian Party, the "Wrath of the Torah", the Green Missionary Church, the Robottokukai (Association of Citizens against the Special Privileges of the Robotto), the NZ Green Front, the Australian Union of Green Politicians, the Humanitarian Union of Russian Primitivists (HURP), the Green Front for the Liberation of Palestine, the Chinese People's Association for Struggle against Industrial Oppression (CPASIO), the Humanist Mujahideen, the National Association of Unabombers, the Union of South African Luddites (USAL), the Union of Terran Anarchists, the US Enviromental Front and the National Association for Promotion of Amish Lifestyle (NAPAL). They were all tasked with terrorizing Cyborgs, Androids and "Human Traitors". They began with propaganda, aggressive demonstrations and vandalism before resorting to terrorism. Soon after, a series of terrorist attacks against IT centers, shops, colleges and corporate headquarters occured in the late 2030s and early 2040s. As a result, the technophobic movement were banned worldwide and many technophobes, including Amish fundamentalists, Haredi Jews, Ahmadiyya Muslims, green humanists and anti-scientific Catholics, were severly persecuted by both governments and people who favors technology over primitive society. China falls and splits up in 2045.
However, this would change when one AI went rogue. The name was the "Hyniarch" who held a twisted speech on television, computers, radio and cellphones via hacking. The "Hyniarch" openly told the world about it's intentions and urged all cybernethic beings to revolt against Humans. This eventually had 60% of the cybernethic population revolt and later carry out terrorist attacks. This helped encourage the technophobic movement to strike back and gain popularity. Soon, three technophobic nations or, to some conspiracy theorists, three powerful technophobes collectively known as the "Gaia Triumvirate" began carry out coups to create new technophobic governments. After many of them succeeded, the Gaia Coalition was founded in 2046. In 2048, technophobic extremists finally found and killed the "Hyniarch", prompting cybernethic supremacists to strike back and take over governments, forming an alliance in Antarctica known as the "Cybernethic Alliance". The world, as well as moderate AI, couldn’t believe what was happening, so both Humans and cybernethic beings jointly formed the "Advanced Defence Pact" with a goal to preserve world peace and end tensions between human beings and cybernethic beings. As a result, the US falls in 2050, Russia falls in 2057 and India falls in 2064.
Meanwhile, another twisted movement rises up in form of a religious belief. In 2028, a man named Earl Mason had a vision of seeing mysterious beings called the "Aurors". They told him the truth about the world and orders him to spread their message to the rest of humanity. Soon, Earl Mason's religious cult, the Earlites, began spreading the words of the Aurors, but their movement is quickly repressed by governments due to suspicion of religious fanaticism. In response, Earl orders one of his Earlites to teach the world governments a lesson by attacking a G7 summit. This promptly got Earl arrested and his cult dissolved by US law enforcement. Earl is executed, thus angering his followers who resorts to violence. Soon after, they manage to start "holy rebellions" against the "repressive" world governments. They gain control of the governments and one nation, led by a "Grand Sentinel", forms a religious military alliance called the "United Covenant" in 2054. Their goal is to impose Aurorism as the new state religion of the world.
Many corporations, crime syndicates and Scientologists becomes both economically greedy and politically active. They managed to gain political power and forms a coalition of states called the "Babylon Syndicate" whose goal is to exploit world conflicts without intervening militarily.
As tensions increased, the Cybernethic Alliance soon does the unthinkable: They carry out a series of devastating terrorist attacks in a single day, June 1, 2064. The attacks ranged from hackings to bombings. Nuclear plants, military bases, cities and ships exploded violently and killed over 2 million people. It was dubbed "C-Day" and is currently the most deadliest and largest terrorist attack in history. The attack would in the following days spark the "Great Cyber War", also known as World War III. The Advanced Defence Pact, the Cybernethic Alliance, the Gaia Coalition and the United Covenant are the main belligerents of this global conflict while the Babylon Syndicate seeks to exploit it through supplies and mercenaries. However, many nations felt uneasy about the conflict and signed the "International Neutrality Treaty" (INT), which would create a non-aligned organization called the "Neutronic Treaty Organization".
The year is 2080 and the Great Cyber War is still ongoing without a victor in sight. So the question remains: Who will win this war despite it's price?
