So apparently all the villainous team leaders are joining one team led by Giovanni in Ultra SM now. It seems a bit silly. And I think it undermines the previous games' storylines to an extent. Archie and Maxie were supposedly reformed, and Cyrus and Lysandre disappeared leaving the player to dream up answers the mystery. For them to show up as lackeys of Giovanni seems a bit underwhelming.

Explaining why they’re together in the first place will probably be hand waved with Ultra Wormholes like the other returning characters in SM.

It’s silly, but welcome for the last games on a solely handheld console. This is giving me some hope that they might bring back the rest of the champions and maybe some other characters from past gens.

I think Avoros brought that up the other day on IRC and I did have a small idea that Giovanni would be paying people to pretend they were those guys for fun. Makes no sense as well, but eh.

It is a bit of a shameless plug. You haven't posted for quite a while, then post this here once this is dead. I don't mind much, but I find it a bit rude that you did this right on the tails on my rp, as if you were waiting for it to die.

Yeah, this rp is unfortunately dead. For those who have been here until the end, thank you. I've been trying for months to make this pokémon rp, and seeing how it went, I'll probably stay out of making pokémon rp's from now on.

To be fair, I think it's a common problem for RPs in general. I tend to either see fast-paced chaos with low-quality writing, or decent writing but the pace is slow then grinds to a halt. Character-centred RPs like this one have the additional difficulty that a player might want to write something but be stuck waiting on somebody else (and I admit I've often been the one keeping others waiting). Being the OP is tough.

The Brazil-based setting was great, and Team Shade and the player characters involved in it were shaping up to be interesting. I'll see if I can write an epilogue for my character, and I hope this isn't the last we'll see of either the Maderia Region or Jonny Bell.

Interesting to see the remaining types and badges. Not gonna lie, I'm surprised none of the Elite 4 are specialized in dragon types. Still a good sight, though. Regardless of what'll happen with Ness. Cheers!
