Only recently has the tropical region of Maderia joined the modern world of pokémon, having now established its very own pokémon league, complete with eight gyms and an Elite Four - a champion is yet to be chosen. Only now, however, has Professor Açai, the leading pokémon researcher in the region, decided to give hopeful pokémon trainers the push they need to start their own journeys. You are one of the many that will begin the greatest adventure of a lifetime today, but the question you should be asking yourself is:

Rules & Guidelines
- Although I'm open to suggestions and criticism, my word is final.
- The usual cardinal rules of NS; don't flame, godmod, etc.
- No one-liners!
- Please try to maintain decent post quality and activity. If you're going to be innactive, please say so in the OOC.
- Any IC information regarding your character should be kept in a single post so that it is easier to keep track of pokémon, moves, and items.
- No canon characters are allowed.
- Custom pokémon, items, moves, and abilities are allowed. Just fill out the respective app!
Co-op: Britanania
Wild Battles
If you want to have a wild encounter, say so in an IC post (Ex: He saw a rustling in the grass/A figure approached him/etc.). You can also just ask for an encounter in the OOC, but in either case, a Co-op or myself (whoever is currently online) will give you the encounter by TG. The outcome of the encounter will then be decided by TG before you make the full post about it.
Shinies will appear in this rp, but will be extremely rare and decided by myself only. You can, however, have your pokémon have distinct colors or markings within reason (A neon-pink Pikachu is not going to appear naturally).
NPC Battles
NPC battles will work in a similar way. You may ask for one in the OOC, but in most cases, an NPC trainer will appear to challenge your character. The following battle will be made as a collab (by TG or any other means), with a Co-op or myself controlling the NPC. There are, however, some NPCs that can only be controlled by me. They are:
PC Battles
Any battle between player characters can be handled any way you like, but is recommended that it is done through a collab with the outcome already determined. That way, everyone gets their chance to win without a battle dragging on too far.

You can begin in any city or town, or anywhere! You start off with 1, first-form pokémon with up to 4 moves; the learnable max is 6.
You are more than welcome to play as a member of Team Shade, or even as a pokémon! If you are going to play as a pokémon, however, you will have to fill out the bio portion of the pokémon app.
