The United States of Ekwosrich are a member state of the Democratic Economic Union of Nations. By that, these United States of Ekwosrich both respect and follow all decisions, acts, resolutions and other documents approved by the Council of the DEUN and decisions made by External Action Service.
Resolved in regards to our fellow nations abroad,
By the resolution of the Confederate Congress, the United States of Ekwosrich have resolved through the Diplomacy Act of 2017 to establish an Embassy Program under the Department of State, in an effort to establish goodwill between all nations; promote commerce between nations; ensure security of all people from the threats of tyranny, terrorism, nuclear warfare, human trafficking, and catastrophic climate and environmental change; respect for the sovereignty of nations; and above all, fostering human liberty and prosperity.
The United States of Ekwosrich are thirty-nine states joined together in a confederal directorial constitutional republic, with approximately 495 million people as of 2017; it has come a long way from the original confederation of seven minor countries on Peleagros in 1792, formed to protect one another from aggressive major powers. Ekwosrich began its rise to power in 1821, when it achieved an unexpected and favorable victory over the Seax Empire in the Four Years' War (1817-1821). Over the rest of the Nineteenth Century, several nations joined the confederation, only aiding the potential of Ekwosrich to become a continental power. The Twentieth Century saw the crowning achievements, and the flaws of the confederation come to a head in the Great Continental War (1914-1924), where Ekwosrich achieved control over most of the continent, and the Great Civil War (1937-1950), where the questions of just how unified the nation would be was, at least partially, resolved.
Ekwosrich's heads of state and government are the Federal Executive. Under the Diplomacy Act of 2017, it has been resolved that, at present, embassies will be established in Cadbury City, Kingdom of Cadbury, the historic capital of Ekwosrich. Located in central Ekwosrich, the city is near Mount Perkwunos, the highest mountain on the Peleagro continent. Embassies themselves will be located in the governmental district's newly constructed Diplomatic Precinct, located near the Confederal Hall, the meeting place for the Confederate Congress.
Although not a member of the World Assembly, the Diplomacy Act of 2017 incorporates General Assembly Resolution #22 in regards to diplomatic immunities.
In regards to limitations upon staff, vehicles, or weaponry, whilst there are no specific limitations upon them except for ten vehicles per diplomatic mission, and one helicopter, we ask that diplomatic missions with a staff in excess of fifty, excluding security personnel, provide a reason for the presence of such a quantity.
Furthermore, we also ask that diplomatic missions provide a security justification if they have more than the specified quantity of any of the following:
