Heavy Coalition involvement means no actual war between him and SJ, while just a little bit of Coalition involvement is improbable. :P

If this war ultimately goes down, Gherrum will probably be torn in two between those who want to honor the Rooenan-Gherrun Millitary pact and those that want to support San Jimenez. (Braces for civil war)

With the great distance between Rooenan and San Jimenez, only a naval war between the two would be realistic. Without closer allies supporting a long range land campaign would be near impossible. The logistics of supply would be nearly impossible.

So you're going to send ships and planes at each other until they all sink into the sea? Seems a bit futile, but if it makes you feel better...

Also, you should know that the route between your nations goes directly past or near most of the CFN nations and especially some of it's power players. War is bad for business and realistically, we'd probably try to shut down those sea lanes to your vessels and force peace. Since C6 is also involved and also looking for peace, that's a large number of powerful nations looking for you to lay down your arms. So either you're going to have to de-escalate, or have something happen that would have us look the other way. That could be a combination of SJ doing something that C6 couldn't rightfully aid him after and something to assure CFN that the war won't overflow onto our prosperity.

Since this is supposed to be a planning thread, and there hasn't been much of that yet, I'd suggest that Rooenan and SJ figure out what you want the outcome of the war to be first, and then figure out how you get to that point.

Yeah. I've been thinking about the number of powerful nations that are involved and shutting down any possibility of war. The only out I can see is de-escalation.

I would hope that you'd continue with the RP at least and not just retcon it because there is a good opportunity for some secondary RP such as the Coalition initiating a new world order onto the Argean Sea and it will get some more rival/alliance talk going.

I agree with Van, this has a great chance to be a good RP, especially with all the nations that are or could be drawn into the conflict. One way of actual land invasion is a sneak attack using standard cargo ships as troop carriers, high risk, but war often is. Either Rooenan or San Jimenez could attack an outlying region of the other, gain control of an airfield will allow reinforcement to arrive. Read a book called 1901 set in an alternative history where Germany used this ploy to seize New York City. Just something to think of.
