Lenin sat up from his desk, nodding at his secretary as he was lead outside the capital building and into the yard, where reporters from across the world waited, eagerly. "Greeting, people of the world and citizens of Russia, I am here to pubicly confirm that Russia, has indeed, officially sighed off on, and departed from the organization of NATO" He finished, waiting rather impatiently as the crowd of reporters started shouting and asking questions, "Now, if everyone will remain calm, we will proceed with questions" he said, pointing at one reporter as they started up again, "So citizens around the world are having mixed reactions, some saying it was rather rash, your comments?", "The decision wasn't rash. We had told officials of NATO 5 months in advance, and us officials had to vote and vote again before we could get a final answer", he finished, pointing at another reporter. Throughout the scene, most of the questions seemed to repeat, re word, or become off topic. As he was about to halt and stop the questions, he had decided on one more question, "Some international gossip has been going around, stating that Russia leaving NATO shows a sign of weak military, comments?", Lenin had to keep himself from laughing, "this gossip, is just that, pointless gossip. Our military has only strengthened every year, and we plan on keeping it that way. The point is, the citizens of Russia did not want to spend resources and money keeping the peace in every territory NATO decided on. There will be no more questions" he finished, turning back to head into the capital, he had calls to make. As he sat in his office, he thought of other national events, as in the election of the new Texas president, a true idealistic. At that point, Lenin pulled out his phone, secured and protected with the best software affordable, and he made a call to the president.
"Greetings Kiser, congratulations on your presidency, which will hopefully bring our two nations closer. Iv called to discuss issues in Iraq and in surrounding territories. I of course talk about the terrorist group, ISIS, as named, and I prepose we discuss a plan for taking them out once and for all" he said, waiting for a response.

Kiser stood on the steps of the capitol building as the chief justice got up to administer the oath. In just a few seconds Kiser would become the most powerful man in the world. At 25 he had became the mayor of Houston. At 30 he became the Governor of the state of Texas. Now at 35 he was about to become the President of the Republic of Texas. He got up and looked at his gorgeous wife and four children. Then he looked out at the humongous crowd. Smiling he uttered the words that made him the most powerful man. "I Brandon Ryan Kiser do solemnly swear to defend the Constitution of the Republic of Texas from threats both foreign and domestic and I swear my undying loyalty and allegiance to the Republic and to God. I swear to faithfully execute the office of the Presidency for as long as I may be honored to hold it." Kiser smiled as the justice extended his hand and said "Congratulations Mr. President." Kiser cleared his throat as the F-22s, F-16s, F-35s, F-15s, and B-2s roared overhead in a display of power. On the grass below the honor guard stood and saluted Kiser as twenty one shots rang out from howitzers. Kiser licked his lips and started his speech.
"President Carter, President Bush, President Clinton, President Bush, President Mccain, President Abbot. It is my honor to have you all here this historic day. I thank you all for your service as Presidents of this great nation of ours. Now to the people of Texas. I will keep this short so that I amy get to work for you as quickly as possible. Under my administration we will strengthen our military even more. We will strengthen our economy even more. We will strengthen our society even more. We will decrease taxes on the middle class and make it easier for people to have a comfortable life. We will seek better relations with enemies and friends. However we will not allow our enemies to push us around. I would like to take a moment to say to any nation still holding any Texan soldier or citizen that they will be released within 48 hours of now or we will take them back by force. This is specifically addressed to the Iranian government that is holding twenty-two Texan citizens and soldiers in our embassy. Under this administration the people will be in charge and heard. I will promise a true freedom for all! Thank you and God bless Texas, God bless you, and God bless this administration!"
With that finished Kiser waved and left to go inside for a lunch with congress. Then immediately afterwards the inaugural parade was held in which Kiser walked from the Congress building to the Texas White House.
Canada @Canada Houston native Brandon Ryan Kiser has just been sworn in as the new president of the Republic of Texas following his landslide victory in the 2016 Texan elections. PERSONAL LOG OF WANG MING
Current Events / Activities of EastAsia:
-We've been working on improving existing rocketry with the application of possible atomic engines. This should yield results within the next 10 years if funding keeps up. I'll have to see what exactly those scientists were talking about, but the concept of atomic powered rockets is quite interesting.
-The current 5-year plan to increase agricultural output has been going along smoothly, the economic advisors say. Fully automated farming is still some years away, but rations should be higher than the year before.
-The ruler of the People's Republic of Thailand (one of our "socialist" brothers) has asked for a few new J-15 and J-20 jets. I told General Xiping to get to it. I should get a reply by tomorrow.
-Nuclear missile production is up, as always. We should have more than 2000 ICBMs as of now if those missile command officers are to be believed. Soon enough we'll finally be ready for the final world revolutionary war. I hope the bunkers will save us then, as I personally doubt that socialist aliens will save us.
-The New Main Battle Tank seems quite high quality, and should easily be able to combat Texan Abrams without a hitch. I'll see that they are placed into mass production within the next 5 years.

Kiser was in his office when he got the call. He quickly cleared his throat before answering. He listened to the Russian before saying "Very well. Would you like to discuss this over the phone or in person? I could have Air Force One ready to take me to Moscow by tomorrow if absolutely necessary. Or you could come here to Austin.' Project X-40 was almost complete. It would revolutionize the military aircraft world. It combined the best of maneuverability and range with stealth and speed. It was top secret for now but would be revealed in a few weeks as the F-40A Lone Star. Until then everything was being prepared and checked.

Listening to the American offer him such options seemed odd, but he responded with respect, "If either of us were to fly to the others capital just after you won the election, it would look bad. On the other hand, two military powers discussing anything after us Russias leave from NATO would be rather worse. I have a proposal, as this line is private, that I send in Russian officials to connect a device of your choosing to my private server, the same one the phone uses actually" Lenin finished, picking up a class of cool water and drinking before he continued, "the server is updated weekly, and the only way to physically alter it would be for someone to find the disclosed bunker it's held in, so this is best, as to keep international media calm" he finished drinking more water.

Just then his oldest child, his daughter Lily age 15, walked in holding a notebook. Kiser suddenly remembered he had promised to help her with her report for school over someone interesting. Lenins mood was getting better, as this American president wasn't bent on the whole "media rights" idea, it was easier to work with. When Kiser mentioned East Asia, in which Lenin sat his water down before drinking once more, "East Asia is....problematic, and can be discussed, but despite my new militaristic freedoms, I do not plan to war or attack them, not yet anyways" he said, deciding not to hold back the information. War would come to East Asia, and the sooner the better. Having militaristic drones being built and designed already to spy on the nation, he knew that they had to be planning something, right? Or so he would find out, but for not measures were being put into place to insure a march on Russia was impossible. Having mostly ground troops would be a disadvantage when Russia set it's plan into action. "I'll have the personal sent over soon, and they will set up the link, now do you want to discuss anything else now" he finished, sipping on his water, though not really thirsty.

A few hours later.
Kiser had just finished helping his daughter and sat back at his desk. He looked at the picture of Sam Houston. He wanted to live up to that expectation Sam had set. Pushing the thoughts out of his mind he picked up the phone and dialed the East Asian Premier.

While going through yet another stack of paperwork, Wang heard the phone ring, and picked it up. The address linked it Austin, Texas. It was no doubt that the leader of the dirty capitalist Texans had called, well, this wasn't exactly surprising.

He looked to the corner of his eyes, and Johnson gave him a wink. Andrew was the youngest, and quite frankly the first Black president to ever assume office of President in the Californian Republic. He represented the Californian National party, the Conservative party of the country, and the frequently sees itself in office.
For all to hear before the large crowd that had come to celebrate his coronation, the man asked "Andrew Marks, are you willing to accept the General Election results, and assume the office as President of The Californian Republic?" Andrew, mustering his booming voice, replied "I do accept the results, and to assume the office of President."
"Andrew Marks, as President of The Californian, will you uphold our constitution? Protect our People? Uphold our Boarders? Lead our people to the best of your ability? Be the representative of our Republic to the people's of the world?" The man asked. "I do take these responsibilities, and will uphold these responsibilities for as long as I hold office, so help me almighty God."
"Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you the 32nd President of the Californian Republic!" The man announced, and the Millions that had gathered to watch had went nuts, applauding the new President. "Hello California! I thank you for entrusting me with the role as your President, and I will defend our Democracy with every ounce of Strength I have in my body!"
That opening was met with much applause, as Andrew went on to continue his speech. "I'm not going to say the people, the city in front of me aren't the most beautiful thing I've ever seen, because I'd be lying. Today, we celebrate years of successful democracy that our Republic has used since our founding!
As the world evolves, we must make sure that we uphold the values that are so dear to us. To be an example for the Nations that struggle, that wish to taste the fruits of prosperity. When we deal with our foreign affairs, from all over the world. We must work tirelessly in our endeavors to what is good in this world, where evil is so easy to spring up.
Whe we look forward, look around us. Our homes. Our children. We must build a future for them, for it is our duty to make the world they inherited better than the ones we did. I intend to leave this office, with a country even more prosperous than the one I inherited. Even more strong, more active, more passionate. Remember the words of our first President my fellow Californians, "We have failed ourselves, our God, and our Children if we are not constantly going forward. The future Generations will not look upon our work here, and look in disdain. Our Creator will not regret his creation. The world of tomorrow will be built upon our Foundations." President Cunningham was right, we build the foundations of tomorrow, we will make that future possible!
So let me lead, let me show I've gotten what it takes for success, to lay the foundations of our future upon firm bedrock! Let us work together, as we as a country are a interconnected people! A family! Let's show that this family is not afraid to work towards the future, pressing the boundaries of common sense! We will not, and cannot be held back! No one can hold us back but ourselves, and we are not the type of people to do that! My friends, it is time to get to work!"
The crowd erupted in applause, and as the President went through the traditions and Parades, his wife of 9 years stood next to the 30 year old President, along his 6 year old son, along with Andrew watched it all. Later that day, after all the festivities, and dinner with his family, Andrew made a call to the Canada, with Texas coming after the first call was completed.

Lawrence entered his office, with a Double Double and a plate filled with a big greasy donair in hand. Placing it onto his desk, he set his meal down onto the desk, pushing away some probably super important papers to make room. Licking his lips, Lawrence grabbed the donair and stuffed it into his mouth, meat falling onto the plate and sauce on his lips. "This tastes nothing like Sams..its disgusting, next time I get out back to Nova Scotia, I'll have to have a real donair..". Taking a sip of coffee, the room's phone began buzzing loudly, the Prime Minister quickly setting down his drink and picking it up, not even bothering to check the number. "Yes hello?"

He looked and it and saw it was about the X-40, soon to be F-40 Lone Star, and he smiled. It would be a truly incredible plane. 360 degree thrust vectoring, most advanced stealth on Earth, fastest engines ever made for a fighter, high altitude abilities, great control, excellent maneuverability, relatively cheap, and boasting the most advanced tech in the world. It would truly ensure Texan superiority for decades.
