Kiser stood on the steps of the capitol building as the chief justice got up to administer the oath. In just a few seconds Kiser would become the most powerful man in the world. At 25 he had became the mayor of Houston. At 30 he became the Governor of the state of Texas. Now at 35 he was about to become the President of the Republic of Texas. He got up and looked at his gorgeous wife and four children. Then he looked out at the humongous crowd. Smiling he uttered the words that made him the most powerful man. "I Brandon Ryan Kiser do solemnly swear to defend the Constitution of the Republic of Texas from threats both foreign and domestic and I swear my undying loyalty and allegiance to the Republic and to God. I swear to faithfully execute the office of the Presidency for as long as I may be honored to hold it." Kiser smiled as the justice extended his hand and said "Congratulations Mr. President." Kiser cleared his throat as the F-22s, F-16s, F-35s, F-15s, and B-2s roared overhead in a display of power. On the grass below the honor guard stood and saluted Kiser as twenty one shots rang out from howitzers. Kiser licked his lips and started his speech.

"President Carter, President Bush, President Clinton, President Bush, President Mccain, President Abbot. It is my honor to have you all here this historic day. I thank you all for your service as Presidents of this great nation of ours. Now to the people of Texas. I will keep this short so that I amy get to work for you as quickly as possible. Under my administration we will strengthen our military even more. We will strengthen our economy even more. We will strengthen our society even more. We will decrease taxes on the middle class and make it easier for people to have a comfortable life. We will seek better relations with enemies and friends. However we will not allow our enemies to push us around. I would like to take a moment to say to any nation still holding any Texan soldier or citizen that they will be released within 48 hours of now or we will take them back by force. This is specifically addressed to the Iranian government that is holding twenty-two Texan citizens and soldiers in our embassy. Under this administration the people will be in charge and heard. I will promise a true freedom for all! Thank you and God bless Texas, God bless you, and God bless this administration!"

With that finished Kiser waved and left to go inside for a lunch with congress. Then immediately afterwards the inaugural parade was held in which Kiser walked from the Congress building to the Texas White House.

"Greeting, people of the world and citizens of Russia, I am here to pubicly confirm that Russia, has indeed, officially sighed off on, and departed from the organization of NATO" He finished, waiting rather impatiently as the crowd of reporters started shouting and asking questions, "Now, if everyone will remain calm, we will proceed with questions" he said, pointing at one reporter as they started up again, "So citizens around the world are having mixed reactions, some saying it was rather rash, your comments?", "The decision wasn't rash. We had told officials of NATO 5 months in advance, and us officials had to vote and vote again before we could get a final answer", he finished, pointing at another reporter. Throughout the scene, most of the questions seemed to repeat, re word, or become off topic. As he was about to halt and stop the questions, he had decided on one more question, "Some international gossip has been going around, stating that Russia leaving NATO shows a sign of weak military, comments?", Lenin had to keep himself from laughing, "this gossip, is just that, pointless gossip. Our military has only strengthened every year, and we plan on keeping it that way. The point is, the citizens of Russia did not want to spend resources and money keeping the peace in every territory NATO decided on. There will be no more questions" he finished, turning back to head into the capital, he had calls to make. As he sat in his office, he thought of other national events, as in the election of the new Texas president, a true idealistic. At that point, Lenin pulled out his phone, secured and protected with the best software affordable, and he made a call to the president.

City 1, formerly known as Chongqing, heart of the EastAsian Union's people and capital of the state, resembled something out of your typical western dystopian novel. The city was divided into multiple walled sectors, each which appeared to be built in numerous layers of housing and industry. It was the result of years of technocratic planning, semi-creative process, and general speculation that had brought about these things. A far cry from old Chongqing, that was for sure. Besides the general drudgery that seemed to pervade the city's streets and buildings, there was a certain unappealing apartment complex that was actually more important than it looked. It was here that EastAsia's premier Wang Ming resided, a fitting place for a relatively simple man.

Wang had just woken up from a rather short period of sleep, and was felt rather annoyed at the moment. The goddamn AC wasn't working again, and this apartment complex was supposedly new! Well, must've been some electrical error, Wang thought to himself as he got dressed. Despite being the official leader of EastAsia, Wang dressed similarly to any other citizen: quite boringly. He had 10 identical pairs of the standard grey govt. uniform, and 10 pairs of the Maoist green type. There also happened to be two pairs of work overalls, each with the EastAsian emblem on it. It was funny how someone originally quite unimportant had risen to a leadership position, but Wang honestly didn't think too much of that. In a society like EastAsia, rising from nothing to the top had been unheard of, but best not question it.

Amidst the pandemonium that was the EastAsian Central Government Building at midday, Wang Ming had taken his time to converse with a number of East Asian politicians and scientist. Everything was a bit too complicated for him to follow, but he did get the general gist of all those confusing numbers spouted, and made a list of current action.

Current Events / Activities of EastAsia:

-We've been working on improving existing rocketry with the application of possible atomic engines. This should yield results within the next 10 years if funding keeps up. I'll have to see what exactly those scientists were talking about, but the concept of atomic powered rockets is quite interesting.

-The current 5-year plan to increase agricultural output has been going along smoothly, the economic advisors say. Fully automated farming is still some years away, but rations should be higher than the year before.

-The ruler of the People's Republic of Thailand (one of our "socialist" brothers) has asked for a few new J-15 and J-20 jets. I told General Xiping to get to it. I should get a reply by tomorrow.

-Nuclear missile production is up, as always. We should have more than 2000 ICBMs as of now if those missile command officers are to be believed. Soon enough we'll finally be ready for the final world revolutionary war. I hope the bunkers will save us then, as I personally doubt that socialist aliens will save us.

-The New Main Battle Tank seems quite high quality, and should easily be able to combat Texan Abrams without a hitch. I'll see that they are placed into mass production within the next 5 years.

Apparently local worker management was more efficient than state management, and it still counted as some sort of socialism. Anything for the benefit of the East Asian state would be sought out, and if economic decentralization was included, EastAsia would decentralize to some degree.

Wang thought more to himself. Did East Asia honestly follow any international treaties? Probably not, given that EastAsia was likely the only nation on Earth currently increasing the size of its nuclear and biological weapons arsenal. East Asia also had basic armed satellites, if the last report on communications was correct. Not that they would be any bit useful in conflict, but it was better than nothing.

The dirty capitalists were everywhere, and sought to destroy the worker's state. Wang would not let that happen.

Replacing the phone in the desks secret compartment. Tensions indeed, espically with the border situation between EastAsia and Russia. If an invasion were to happen now, Russias airforce could take care of them before they reached anywhere important, but dropping bombs and missles (no matter how big or....slightly less big) on Russian soil was also discouraged.
In preparation for this, troops are being deployed on the border between Russia and EastAsia. Along with the groups, military camps are being set up, tornado g's are being deployed, as well as 2B11's. 9p149's are being set against tanks, and BMP3's. Along with these precautions, a giant steel gate is being put up on the Russian side of the border (guard towers lining it). These precautions are seen a nessicary, and will not be taken back.

Kiser hung up and turned to his daughter saying "Sorry that was the Russian President. Now shall we do this?"

A few hours later.

Kiser had just finished helping his daughter and sat back at his desk. He looked at the picture of Sam Houston. He wanted to live up to that expectation Sam had set. Pushing the thoughts out of his mind he picked up the phone and dialed the East Asian Premier.

After the call with Kiser, Lenin had to head to a meeting with government officials to discuss plans, both military and public, that are almost done and that are in progress. Lenin had been in the meeting room for hours, discussing issues with EastAsia (not mentioning his call with Kiser), Relations with European countries, and a couple political matters. But the progress is what was important
-the AK-12, testing which started in 2015, was fully ready and will go into mass production in about 3 months (the AK-12 is an overall improvement on the AK-47, improving range, recoil, and firerate).
-along with the AK-12, the A-545 was practically done, only being tested a couple more times, and is to go into mass production in about 5 months (the A-545 is an improvement over the AEK-971, having longer sights, a select range of firing modes, a confrontable grip and sholder pad, and optional sights attachments).
-the armored vehicle known as the Kurganets-25 has been successfully been put into mass production (used to replace the BMP, BMD, MT-LB, it's main feature is its adaptability, it's armor being constantly upgraded to defend against bigger threats)

(I might make new weapons not irl, but these weapons can actually be looked up. If I make new weapons not irl, I'll put more detail).

On top of these, the new MP-Conductor train is to be done testing in as little as two years. This train will be able to travel at 400mph, shaped in a circular manner, its modifications will also enable it to carry supplies at about 370mph. It's production was started in 2014, after a poll was conducted and Russias trains were considered "slow" and "old". Trains have played a big part in Russia, so production was started almost immediately. These will replace all trains, including the trains that run through the Ural mountains.

Kiser had just finished helping his daughter and sat back at his desk. He looked at the picture of Sam Houston. He wanted to live up to that expectation Sam had set. Pushing the thoughts out of his mind he picked up the phone and dialed the East Asian Premier.

While going through yet another stack of paperwork, Wang heard the phone ring, and picked it up. The address linked it Austin, Texas. It was no doubt that the leader of the dirty capitalist Texans had called, well, this wasn't exactly surprising.

"Hello, who is it?" Wang asked. "EastAsian Helmsman Wang Ming here."

In the city of Los Angels, President Elect Andrew Marks stood next to the still current president Michael Johnson. The official stepped up to Andrew holding a Bible, saying "Please put your hand on the Bible Preaident Elect." Andrew complied and placed his hand down.
