[The Ziron Empire]

Emperor Trench Briggs sits in the peace of his home. The rising sun climbs over the hills near Arkadia. A movie blairs on Brigg's television. It plays an alternate history movie, "Strelitzia Under Seige". Briggs chuckles, laughing at the absurdity of the film.

"What a movie. An invasion of New Zealand? Why in the hell would we do that? And what is this? Nuclear war with the USSR? This director should know better."

His session is ended abruptly by a the ringing of his phone. He downs the glass of Whiskey in his hand, placing the glass on the table. He quickly grabs the black phone.

"Hello? Ah! Commander Hannibal! Long time no see. What have you got for me today?"

Silence fills the manor, followed by a brief conversation. Briggs then hangs up the phone, puts on his jacket, and leaves his home in a rush.

Meanwhile, on the island of Sicily, a joint training exercise is underway. Soldiers stand onboard the IZS Leader, a Nimitz Class Aircraft Carrier. A man paces in front of them, reciting the Zironian Oath of Combat.

The man dressed in black paces in front of many soldiers. He speaks in a loud, commanding voice.
"When we joined the Trinity, we took an Oath!"

All soldiers were quick to reply. The spoke in unison. A proud military chant.
"According to our core! All without exception!"

The man continued to pace.
"On the Blood of our Fathers, on the Blood of our Sons, we will carry out our Emperor's word."

The soldiers shouted back.
"Even to our dying breath!"

The man smiled. Almost proud of his soldiers.
"Those who would break this Oath are heretics. Worthy of neither pity nor mercy!"

The soldiers chanted once more.
"We shall grind them into dust and continue our march unto glorious salvation!"

The soldiers were quickly dismissed. Training had ended, and the soldiers were on break. The man in black walked quickly to the control room. He faced the ships Captain and spoke.

"We have our orders. Set sail for Brazil. We have been moved for classificated reasons. Glory to the Empire!"

The ships crew changed one final time.
"Glory to the Empire!"


A Zironian Naval team has begun moving to the coast of Brazil. The make no attempts to keep the destination a secret, but will not reveal the nature of their actions. The team is composed of a Nimitz Class Aircraft Carrier, 4 Burke Class Destroyers, and a Seawolf Class Submarine. Back at home, the Ziron Empire has seen a new age of patriotism with the institution of an official Democracy. Grand General Trench Briggs has been elected after John Wallace was killed during surgical complications.

[The Norwegian Lands]

Fresh off a successful reelection campaign, Michel Ulsrud, the popular President of The Norwegian Lands, has an announcement to make.

"Dear friends, you have spoken. I'm back for another term, and I can guarantee that TNL's footprint on the international beach isn't getting washed away anytime soon! Under the next Ulsrud government, we shall show the world that we may be small, but we can make quite an impact on the international stage - maybe not militarily, but with a little scientific development."

TNL has announced the construction of a multi-million-pound research center at the Arctic. He hopes his country can gather information on wildlife at the Arctic and the effects of climate change on one of Earth's most fragile climates.

[Brysterion]

Brysterion is having a military parade in its capital with rows upon rows of soldiers marching past the president and his entourage including his pet goat. During the parade groups of aircraft take off from Brysterion and head for a undisclosed location. will have Factbook post for presidential goat soon be sure to check it out

[New Lucitania]

High above the Führer's Castle in Germany, Eurofighter Typhoons carry out their training exercises. Drones patrol the streets of Lucitania, and man treads carefully to avoid the Military Police. Lucitania has weeded out the weak, and only the strong remain. Lucitania has fully embraced Fascism. A total totalitarian state.

A man approaches the Führer. He is dressed in a Black and Red Military uniform. A Zironian General. The Führer seems excited at his arrival.
"General Hannibal! How are you today?"

Hannibal replies back.
"Fine. I'm here on account of our weapons deal. Our shipsments are ready to leave when you wish."

"Splendid. Move them as soon as possible."

New Lucitania has begun trading arms with the Ziron Empire. The two nations are exchanging tanks, aircraft, and infantry based equipment.

[Denathor]

Within the halls of Iredale Castle, the Royal Steward sits in his office.
"I've never seen a region so tense, yet so at peace. That won't change under my hand. I see the Zironians and Lucitanians have been getting a bit more confident. I feel that some exercises are necessary. Just to make sure we are still up to scratch. Practice some landings up in Thurso. I hope we won't need those tactics, but it's nice to know what we're doing."

Winston leaning back into his chair watching the screens that fill the wall. when one of the black phones rings

"This is Winston what the status of the expansion? ... What do you mean we can't go deeper than 4Km?! ... Well then get our people to start working on the whole 'the pressure is too great for our organs problem' the surface nations have been calling for our people to surface we need to counter the anti-underground sentiment." As Winston hangs up another phone starts to ring this time it's blue.

"This Winston what's going on on the surface?

The Lead Surface Miner starts to speak "Sir the 'Homes" have been built on the surface. so now when the Surface Nations take pictures from above they will think we have half our population is indeed above ground"

"Good if they ask why they don't see people remember to remind them how UV ray effect us so the people use tunnels that connect to all the buildings to allow people to travel everywhere without the exposing themselves to skin cancer

With that Winston puts the phone down pushes both him and his chair off the desk and to the other side of the room where a Red and White phone is located

"Ahh Briggs how nice it is to speak to and old friend. However, this call isn't just for pleasure I'm afraid we have more to discuss my people have made a discovery that you might be interested in. Fly to the coordinates that are located on the bottom of the phone that we supplied that will be your way in. See you soon"

TNL's crews arrive at the North Pole to start construction on the Strelitzian Arctic Research Center. Pres. Ulsrud says the results of research carried out at the SARC will be important to the future of the Earth.

"Its our planet. We need to find out how what we're doing is affecting the world's most fragile ecosystems and find a solution together."

Briggs sat at home, reading the morning paper. The Terrorist Organization of Lachston was becoming ever more prominent in the South Pacific. He frowned. Such an organization could spell trouble for the in progress Trinity Base.

He sipped his glass of Brandy.
"This is troubling."

He faced his wife.
"Dear, could you get me the phone, I have a call to make."

Attack Choppers patrol the skies above Italy. Anti-Air, Anti-Infantry, and Anti-Vehicle Systems are being deployed on the Sea Pig Borders, Near Major Cities, and in Sicily. Missile Launch Platforms are also being set up in the region. These are being set up in order to defend against a possible terrorist attack. The Ziron Empire has publicly denounced the Terrorist Organization known as Lachston, urging nations of Democracy to also take steps to prevent the ever growing threat. Military presence has also increased in Italy and Sicily, following the construction of the Trinity Mega-base.

Grand Emperor Briggs has left the nation on a private jet. He is headed to the nation of CoalMiner in order to review the nations new tunnel complexes. The Ziron Empire has also begun to ship several Submarines to the nation following an arms deal.

[The Norwegian Lands]

TNL sends its first group of scientists to the SARC, which will be formally named the Magnus J. Albertsen Strelitzian Arctic Research Center, after the famed Norwegian Landish biologist, author and former Science Minister who caused a major international uproar over his novel Killing Us Softly: How Human Activity is Affecting Wildlife, in which he proved there is a connection between humans and global warming and outlined consequences current activities can have on future generations. Elsewhere, the Norwegian Landish People's Council unanimously voted to classify the Lachstonian government as a "rebel group controlling territory," as opposed to a nation state, and to designate the same government as a terrorist organization, following suit with its Zironian allies, and recognize different parcels of land controlled by Lachston as part of Slightly East Korea, World Empero or Lochston. Please note the map will not be updated to display such as it reflects the facts on the ground, and as such, will continue to show Lachstonian control until said group is removed from power.

Pearl Harbour, Hawaii

As several Buyan class corvettes sweep the harbour in final preparation, Exercise PACIFIC STORM is officially launched. The multinational training exercise is to be the Trinity Alliances largest cooperative naval exercise, with training taking place all over the South Pacific. Everything from anti-submarine warfare drills to live fire training is to be completed by the three participating nations in a cooperative and competitive environment. Almost all warships not currently deployed on essential operations are expected to attend PACIFIC STORM.

A coded message is dispatched to the Zironian and Sea Pig governments. It reads as follows:

It is time, prepare the fleets. Operation PACIFIC STORM is a go. Brief your commanders.

[New Lucitania]

The Fürher sat at his desk. The news was spreading throughout the nation. This was the first military action the Mellonesians has taken in many years. It was uneasy, but no cause for alarm.

He called for his generals.
"Klaus! Chris! Get in here!"

The two men marched into the room and threw a salute in the air.
"Yes mein Führer!?"

"I want this situation monitored. Klaus, dispatch an Ambassador to the Ziron Empire to make sure this doesn't hurt our trade routes. As for you Chris, I want you to move our forces to the borders. Have patrols set up. Just in case. Nothing major. We don't want to alarm anyone."

Both of them threw another salute before exiting.
"Yes mein Führer!"

Lucitanian Patrols have been increased around the nations border. An ambassador has also been moved to the Ziron Empire to secure trade agreements. The military alert level has been increased, but no mobilization has occurred. Back at home, Fascism is speeding quickly and patriotism is growing. The military is growing and the economy along with it. Lucitania has also slowed contact with the WSC.

[The Ziron Empire]

Briggs steps off the plane with his phone in hand on to CoalMiner soil. A few soldiers await him on the ground. They quickly rush towards him, taking his coat and his briefcase. The voice in the other end hangs ominously in the air.

Briggs speaks quickly into the phone.
"Yes... Yes General. The mission is authorized. You're in full command of the training exercises... Good to hear General. Make us proud Hannibal."

Briggs hangs up the phone, walking towards several CoalMiner soldiers and political representatives. He soon joins them for a tour around the newly constructed surface cities.

An CoalMiner architect speaks quickly.
"Most are made of synthetics and stone. Most are crafted by the finest masonry teams we have to offer."

Briggs smiles, impressed with the man and his accomplishments. The surface cities looked exceptional.
"Splendid. We'll be happy to open the borders between our new nations. The Ziron Empire will also be pleased to provide coastal support if you wish it. We look forward to a prosperous future between our two nations.

Brings and the man walk into a tunnel, descending into the hidden world below.

The Ziron Empire has opened the borders to the nation of CoalMiner. Many citizens are flooding to the nation. They are buying property and filling in vacation spots. The nation of CoalMiner has become a tropical vacation spot for the Empire. The Ziron Empire has also offered coastal defence to the nation.

Back at home, Zironian Ships of all kinds have begun leaving their harbours. Several Zironian Fleets have been deployed to the South Pacific to join in the Trinity training exercises. The ships are fully loaded, fully crewed, and stocked to the brim. The Ziron Empire has also deployed one of its two flagships to the area. The Gerald R. Ford Class Supercarrier (The IZS Wallace) will be participating in the event. She is heavily guarded by a mix of Destroyers, Cruisers, and Attack Submarines. Her deck is loaded to the brim with nearly 100 Aircraft and Helicopters.

However, The Zironian Fleet will not completely move. Many ships still remain near Italy following the Lachston Terrorism scares. Aircraft also patrol the skies over Italy and the Empire, watching for, and preparing to intercept enemy movement.

Hannibal stand on the deck of the IZS Wallace. Briggs had putted him in command, and he was eager to do his part. The Ziron Fleets steamed towards the South Pacific. They knew what great task lay ahead of them. It was going to be an event unlike any other.

Brysterion is troubled by all this military activity and recalls and mobilizes the entire military to protect themselves. All missiles are made ready.

Denathoran personnel, led by General Asgard, are making their way to Saudi Arabia to observe how the colonization process is going. The HSF Arnold, Dundee, Leicester, Ghent, Thorn, Haag and Rapier will be making up this fleet. Their trip will take them around TNL, Sea Pig, Russia-Scotland and through the Suez Canal and past Vidalenia.

Under the cover of darkness 250 of brysterions elite commandos and 250 of lochstons elite commandos and 500 of lachstons elite mercenaries all dressed in nondescript black army fatigues and all armed to the teeth with assault rifles, heavy machine guns, explosives, rpgs, and smoke grenades etc. They use a drill to covertly enter coalminers tunnels undetected and plant explosives and emps for distractions and tunnel cave ins and use the information from a spy to head to the location of zirons and coalminers presidents. They have one goal in mind kill them both or die trying.

The commandos converge on the 2 presidents locations and open fire at everyone in the room after everyone has fallen including the presidents the soldiers slip out from where they entered and trigger the emps and the explosives which cave in many tunnels. some of the explosions also damaged some of the air and water filtration systems amongst other things the explosions were designed to cripple coalminer. they get in their transports and slip off into the night back to their secret point of origin. all that's left behind as evidence to the culprit is a ripped off armband from a empire of the wind solider.

A voice comes over the emergency alert system

"RED ALERT, RED ALERT THIS IS NOT A DRILL OUR NATION HAS HAD A SURFACE BREACH ENTERNCE 6, CAVERN 6 COLLAPSE, UNCONTROLLED FIRE ENTERNCE 6 CAVERN 6, UNAUTHORIZED PERSONAL DETECTED IN CONNECTOR 7 DETECTED IN CAVERN 8 DETECTED IN CONNECTED -2 LOCK DOWN PROTOCOLS IN EFFECT"

Winston and Briggs are rushed into the panic room where Winston begins to scan the upper cameras where he sees over 1000 men cutting through one of the fire doors that automatically close when fire is detected. Winston grabs a phone that is red with black stripes
"We have had a security breach they are currently moving towards connector -3 move what ever you have towards them NOW! Where is the CSUV-A7? Really? Move it in now" Winston turns to Briggs who's eyes are glued to the screen "Well it turns out these poor saps are going to be the first test of the CSUV-A7" with that the lights in connector -3 go out along with the alert system the men tying to attack CoalMiner switch on their night vision I Hope at least your weren't dumb enough to attack my nation without night vision suddenly the sound system kicks back in but instead of the normal alert system its Winston talking with 'welcome to the jungle' playing in the background

"You've made a grave mistake attacking my wonderful nation and its people, but i still have to thank you for attacking me at this time as I was about to show a friend a new toy" and with that the ground started to shake under these blacked out soldiers feet as the door opened showing a massive spinning drill thick black smoke escapes the coal fired engine as it starts to chew up men while the side mounted 50 caliber automatic guns start to mow down the remainder of the men. Even though a RPG stopped the CSUV-A7 from moving the two side mounted guns can still easily kill. As the blacked out men start to retreat they are met by the CoalMiner Mine Fighters where they take the remainder of the men as prisoner those who resist are shot and killed. The ones who are caught are brought to a specified prison made for POW's, there is no light and the only food comes from the many bugs that inhabit the cell, there is a small water hole where they can drink. The prison is designed that it would make Surface nation men more likely to talk.

Winston leans back and turns to a now smiling Briggs

"Turns out we were the target" Winston chuckles "How did they ever think that they could get to us undetected, in a underground system that we built ourselves... but don't worry we will find who did this and when we do they will feel the full force of our armies. On another note due to the amount of attempts to end your live and seeing how it preformed today how many CoalMiner panic bunkers do you want in your nation, it won't be built right away due to our engineers working on repairing our own homes and connecters"

Back in the civilized world, TNL has announced the opening of the Magnus J. Andersen Strelitzian International Research Center. The Norwegian Landish scientists stationed at the SARC, located at the North Pole, are beginning to conduct their research. Other nations are more than welcome to send scientists to the Center to join in the research. The SARC's mission is to research global warming and the effect it has on the world's most fragile ecosystems.

General Asgard has arrived in Saudi Arabia and is observing the colonization process, which is going well. With no tensions from immediate neighbors, the colonists are relaxed. That feeling, however, is slightly less so in Denathor, where an invasion isn't unheard of. Coupling this with the incident in CoalMiner leaves the populace to feel slightly uneasy. However, people looking for action are sorely disappointed, as there are no moves from the government.
