This is an alternative timeline where nations histories have changed. You can make a customized nation, within reality so there has to be a logical explanation and it has to be semi-like IRL. The choice is up to you how you want your history to differ from reality. Is Scotland independent? Is all of Ukraine still owned by Russia? The choice is up to you.

Timeline:
Northern History, Texas, Canada, and California
-1845, the year US was supposed to buy out Texas, didn't happen, and eventually the tables turned, Texas buying out most of the US (practically being the us). It prospered in the same manner as the US. Involvement in wars changed slightly thanks to other timeline changes, as well as event changes.
-During these times, the Californians also prospered, as Americans started settling in California. This new workforce, plus Texas support, leaves California well off. Involvement in wars is [REDACTED].
-Canada ended up buying out northern parts of what used to be america, creating a steady (but on edge) alliance with Texas.
European history
-Russias radical reform from autocracy happened in the 1700s, and was replaced with a republic. Sweden, thanks to this, still lost the Russo-Sweden war, but was annexed instead of formed into a puppet autocracy.
-When the Industrial revolution happened, Russia was put into a temporary state of totalatarism, putting them ahead of all other European nations. A democracy was formed after the totalatarism state was deformed.
-involved in ww1 was nonexistent, and with their industrial advancments, they were able to defend against incoming Germans with ease. Ukraine had no reason to leave, and thus is still apart of Russia.
-The Republic of Romania ended up taking Moldova and the Ukraine Transnistria. Thanks to no soviets, Romania had no real reason to distrust the Russians, but have showed distaste towards them, setting up a defensive position near the Ukraine Transnistria. (no help was sent from Russia to Syria, so no reasons for hostile defence there, either).
-Confederation of Germany ends up taking most of the land affiliated with the old German, minus some countries. They end up going to war with France and take the lands of Alsace-Lorraine, Belgium, and the independent nation of Poland. WW1 happens as told, Texas of course part of allience. Russia wasn't part of WW1, though any attempts to head into Russia were put down. Belgium ends up gaining it's freedom back, as does the african colony set up by the germans.
Asian history
-The Union of greater EastAsia is a country either feared or hated. Mao Zedong takes control of China in 1949, making it communistic. After his death, a power struggle and a brief civil war leads the communist Trotskyist taking power, and conquering the nation's of Mongolia, and the entirety of Indochina (the only "free" nations are Thailand and Burma, who are left as puppet states) first atomic bomb in 1965, it's first hydrogen bomb in 1967.
Plus the Korean Peninsula being united. The timeline. It's important you get people to edit their cs's in response to this. United timeline is only good timeline.

The Republic of Texas never joined the USA and eventually recovered financially even buying up most of the US from an economically weakened USA. It became the world superpower, much like the IRL US, and has the strongest economy and military in the world, like the IRL US. It made close friends with the California Republic and enjoys very strong economic and military alliances with them. Texas is a very conservative nation and very nationalistic. It uses its power do push its agenda through bodies like NATO and the UN, which is HQ in Dallas. Dallas is the "New York" of Texas and is nicknamed the economic center of the world due to the Dallas Stock Exchange being the largest and most powerful in the world. Texas enjoys the cutting edge of military tech, like the IRL US, and are always innovating.

With long periods of economic growth, they soon became very powerful economies and gained more military equipment. Many of the countries residents are paranoid about a Russian invasion due to even worse atrocities in the Baltic region than in our timeline. In 2016 a program led by Latvia's government attempted to unite the countries into one federation similar to the UK was received with critical acclaim and by 2017 the countries united. However many are still suspicious of the new government, with many claiming Latvia having too much power over the other countries.

Ukraine was never Ukraine, though captured as in the Irl timeline they had not the means of breaking away. The industrial revolution was fully embraced in this timeline, though like the original, Russia succeeded heavy under a totalatarism period, which afterwards turned Russia into a democracy. Because of this, Russia is ahead (instead of caught up) in terms of industrialation. It's military still remains number two in the world, though the gap from Russia to China has widened substantially. When it comes to technology, Russia is on par with nations such as Japan and Texas (when autocracy doesn't halt all progress, stuff gets done). Thanks to the Cold War never happening, Russia and Texas are on good terms. After autocracy was ebolished, religion was seen less important over time. The cathedrals in moscow were long replaced with sprawling economic centers and skyscrapers. There are train stations that run through multiple parts of the Ural mountains. All of Russia because of this has been able to industrialize.
In this timeline, Russia isn't part of the UN.
