Dispatch Search Bar

There should be a search bar on dispatches. This allows people to search guides and specific topics. I'm actually shocked that there's NOT a search bar already, and I can't find a reason why there wouldn't be one. Currently, the only dispatches that are widely viewed are ones that have many upvotes, and how can dispatches with small amounts of upvotes be seen if they don't have enough upvotes. The only other way is for them to put it in a large region, but that just makes the whole system republican, as it makes non-officers not be able to be seen. I'm not saying to get rid of the best dispatch section, just add a search bar.

I'm pretty sure it has been. It's not a bad idea, just not a high priority idea. The admins have a huge list of suggestions to work though, and limited time and energy to do so. This is probably somewhere on the list. Just don't hold your breath.

Why? On computers you have ctrl+f, and on iOS devices you have that weird arrowbox button at the top right. It wouldn’t have much use unless Android devices couldn’t do a ctrl+f-like function, which even then I’m unsure about.

If I want to search up for example 'How to found a region' or something I won't be able to find it in dispatches since I cannot search

Considering that this has been a topic for quite some time, and external technical solutions won't really work for dispatches due to the sheer *quantity*, I'd recommend (like The Hurricane) that you use google. You can "google dork" your searches to specify by site, so for example, "building a region site:nationstates.net inurl:dispatch" That should give you better results than just randomly searching terms and appending "nationstates."

Actually, I believe someone released a dispatch searcher on this forum a few months back. I’ll see if I can find it and if it still works.

Made by Ilkhatova, who has since CTE’d, back in March. It worked when I tested it just now, so I’d say it still works,
