Pretty sure that if that level of insanity is the future of conservatism, that is not a good sign for the movement.

Its rationalwiki, thats like using the Daily Mail as a source. It has a very well known bias with many errors. Its going to happen when somebody like you who is so wont to question sources posts something questionable themselves. Standards and all that even despite my dislike of Shapiro.
I'm curious to know more about your opposition to rational wiki.

Its the liberal counterpart to Conservapedia. Ideologically based articles with no interest impartial in the slightest. Strawmen everywhere. M8, should we start calling Metapedia a valid source too?
I see. Can you think of any examples that demonstrate your point particularly well?

A figure of this tumultuous political season (and of the Conservative movement in general) is Ben Shapiro, political commentator, lawyer and author. What is particularly distinctive about Shapiro is that many on the right hail him as a 'master debater', someone who no left wing pundit or academic can beat in an intellectual battle. This sentiment is probably attributed to his quick wit, high analytical and logical reasoning skills, and his clear grasp of the facts of a topic.
Question is, what does NSG, particularly liberals (and conservatives) think of Ben Shapiro? Secondly, do you believe anyone in the academic field can beat him in a debate?
Here's an example of his debating skills:

Here's what I think: I think he's a rather arrogant person, though he may be the future for the intellectual conservative movement. He is in the mold of Von Mises, Alan Keyes, and other prominent conservative intellectuals.
Having said that, I don't believe he is infallible. I believe he can be beat in a debate by a philosophically minded person, as opposed to a pundit who sticks to rehearsed talking points.

Of course, as his position on the political compass is right of Marxism, the general consensus of NSG will probably be that he's "insane", "arrogant", and/or some other inapplicable ad hominem attack.
