[DEFEATED] Commend The Rejected Realms

Postby Cepcecic Ghost » Thu Mar 16, 2017 4:45 am

Mod Edit:

Commend The Rejected Realms

A resolution to recognize outstanding contribution by a nation or region.

Category: Commendation

Nominee: the Rejected Realms

Proposed by: Cepcecic Diplomacy

CONGRATULATING The Rejected Realms on achieving a stable and safe democracy without being able to issue bans and ejections, and for accepting nations with open arms.

RECOGNISING The Rejected Realms on having the oldest army of any region, the RRA (Rejected Realms Army). This army is a defender army and strives for interregional peace and prosperity.

ACKNOWLEDGING that The Rejected Realms is a diplomatic ally with many regions who works towards international peace. Without The Rejected Realms's efforts, progress towards international peace would have slowed down significantly.

THANKING The Rejected Realms for their assistance and leadership of several missions to liberate regions in distress including but not limited to:
- Japan, a small region with high influence.
- The South Pacific, one of the largest feeder regions.
- Hogwarts, another small region with high influence.
- Lazarus, a fellow defender region with extremely high influence.

APPLAUDING The Rejected Realms's successful defence of 10000 Islands in 2003. Despite 10000 Islands not being a defender region at the time, it's successful defence would eventually lead to it becoming one of the largest and most influential Defender regions in the world.

MOVED by The Rejected Realms's outstanding cultural diversity, with no limits to its endless array of different nations. This cultural diversity allows nations unfamiliar or new to the The Rejected Realms to participate in a vast plethora of activities, discussions, and the inclusion that many regions lack.

ESTABLISHING The Rejected Realms as a unique region due to its periodic regional newspaper (The Rejected Times), which documents and records events across Nationstates for everyone to read.

DISTINGUISHING The Rejected Realms for being a founder member of the ADN, and later being an influential member of the FRA. Their contributions kept the FRA running for many years after, with many of the Arch Chancellors of the FRA coming from The Rejected Realms.

APPALLED that The Rejected Realms has been underappreciated for so long, and has failed thus far to be noticed by the esteemed members of the World Assembly for its outstanding performance and resolve.

KNOWING that with the passage of this resolution that The Rejected Realms can only continue to strive for international peace and success.

HEREBY Commends The Rejected Realms for outstanding performance, resolve, diversity, and courage

Well if you'd drafted it here before submitting, it wouldn't have been pulled twice for illegalities.

On the plus side thanks to one of those illegalities we now know Unibot has had his finger in this particular pie.

Edit: also please change the title of this thread to [Submitted] Commend the Rejected Realms. That way people know what you're talking about.

The author asked me for research about TRR, I gave him some jot notes about TRR's history. This is the first time I've seen the text. But sure, keep your witch hunt up. I've got a lot of experience writing WA resolutions - if you're going to be against every resolution that takes input from me, you're going to be against a lot of stuff.

DISTINGUISHING The Rejected Realms for having its own Issue Committee, The Rejected Realms Issue Committee, a group which publishes many of the issues currently in Nationstates.

Would this line not break Rule 4(c)?

It was a region on my list of suggestions. They inquired about what TRR had done. I gave them a jot notes version.

You're expecting "transparency" you wouldn't expect of anyone else.

It's a moot point now as the author has been expelled from the WA and the resolution has been pulled for the problem SoG found above. Anyway Uni transparency is something you always seem to expect of others in GP, so why not from you?

Edit: the expulsion and the resolution being pulled are unrelated events as far as I know.

Hounding people for even telegramming me seems a step too far in trying to rid me from the game. If someone were writing a commendation of something ADN-related, I wouldn't admonish someone for seeking Biyah or NK's input. I know a fair amount of TRR's history. I did a lot of research on TRR when I was delegate.

CONGRATULATING The Rejected Realms on achieving a stable and safe democracy without having to resort to bans and ejections, and for accepting nations with open arms.

This clause is a bit misleading. TRR cannot eject and ban. Not at all. I would suggest rephrasing. Instead of saying "without having to resort to", which implies it has a choice, say, "despite not being able to".

APPLAUDING The Rejected Realms's successful defence of 10000 Islands, a fellow defender region whom without raiding would escalate to unrecoverable levels.

This clause needs a bit more clarity, if author intends to resubmit.

Adding "in 2003" before the first comma would help. Also note at the time, 10KI wasn't a defender region. It was a gameplay neutral, tiny region of 15 nations when it was invaded.

Also assuming author intends to resubmit, perhaps add a sentence or two about TRR being a founding member of ADN and later the FRA, and kept FRA running for years. If I'm not wrong, at least half of all FRA Arch Chancellors came from the TRR in its 9 year (?) history.

Lastly how can a commendation about TRR not mention Kandy's BBQ?

I did under my main, Cepcecic Ghost. This is the successful reviewed, ironed out, suggestions heeded proposal. Trust me. If Bhang Bhang Duc hasn't flagged this for being illegal or having things missing, then this is pretty much in tip-top shape.

Just because I didn't find anything the last time this was submitted doesn't mean it's a good proposal.

No support from me and if this does reach quorum I'll be suggesting an Against vote from TWP.

Firstly, because you did not draft this on the forum I have no idea how much of this proposal is original to you and how much you just took verbatim from the details Unibot sent you.

I suspect, but can't prove, that you actually only wrote a proportion of this proposal. Why should you be rewarded with an author's badge for doing very little of the hard graft?

Secondly, neither myself personally nor the TWP government will knowingly support a proposal written by someone who was dismissed from the WA for multi-ing.

Well, should I bring up my entire telegram log to prove that I did indeed write all of the proposal? And b. Moderators are looking into to whether it was a false WA Ban. They believe that there is a high probability.

RECOGNISING The Rejected Realms on having the oldest army of any region, the RRA (Rejected Realms Army). This army is a defender army, and strives for interregional peace and prosperity.

Despite 10000 Islands not being a a defender region at the time, it's successful defence would eventually lead to it becoming one of the largest and most influential Defender regions in the world.

MOVED by The Rejected Realms's outstanding cultural diversity, with no limits to its endless array of different nations. This cultural diversity allows nations unfamiliar or new to the The Rejected Realms to participate in a vast plethora of activities, discussions, and the inclusion that many regions lack.

ESTABLISHING The Rejected Realms as a unique region due to it's periodic regional newspaper (The Rejected Times), which documents and records events across Nationstates for everyone to read.

DISTINGUISHING The Rejected Realms for being a founder member of the ADN, and later the FRA. Their contributions kept the FRA running for many years after, with many of the Arch Chancellors of the FRA coming from The Rejected Realms.

APPALLED that The Rejected Realms has been underappreciated for so long, and has failed thus far to be noticed by the esteemed members of the World Assembly for it's outstanding performance and resolve.

KNOWING that with the passage of this resolution that The Rejected Realms can only continue to strive for international peace and success.

HEREBY commends The Rejected Realms for outstanding performance, resolve, diversity, and courage.
