Your nations view on circumcising?

Postby The Transylvanian States » Thu Feb 16, 2017 2:47 am

Totally unethical and totally illegal to perform in the Transylvanian states. Viewed as male genital mutilation and a very controversial topic of debate.

As long as it is done for religious reasons, it is approved. However, the defendants must provide evidence that it was done in the name of religion and is backed up by their religious text. It is also allowed for medical reasons.

Unless it is needed to secure the health and well-being of the person involved, adult or infant, we don't care. Religiously we don't care while those who do it simply to have one are viewed as idiots because why!?

What humans do to their genitals out of silly superstitions is none of our concern. No Sidh, however, would agree to have a piece of his manhood sliced off without a valid medical reason, let alone for a cosmetic or superstitious one.

A convert who has been circumcised at some point during his earlier human life can live on the way he is, or opt to restore his genitals to their natural condition, it being purely a matter of personal preference. Those who adhere to the Sidh ways more stringently would advise restoration, to mark the convert's break with his old ways and beliefs.
Freedom doesn't mean being able to do as one please, but rather not to do as one doesn't please.

Circumcision is fine here in Ralioskener. However, if parents want their child to be circumcised, they need the consent of the child. Circumcising babies is illegal.

In Nakad it's really a 50/50 split. Some are for it, some are against. And with in those, some do it for religious reasons, some do it because they think it looks better, some do it for health reasons, the list can go on. There is no real legislation for or against male circumcision, it's considered a personal matter.

It is usually only done when it is needed for medical reasons however this is difficult as Tamriel is only somewhat above the medieval level in surgery tech but it is occasionally done as a punishment for a severe crime.

As the overwhelming majority of Judeans are Jewish, circumcision is common practice on male babies. Female circumcision, on the other hand, has been forbidden by royal decree for many years.

The majority of people support circumcision, considering we're an Islamic democracy and stuff. So yeah, it's legal for religious, health, and pretty much every reason that's logical.

It's legal, but it's widely viewed as genital mutilation. Almost nobody is circumcised.

Male circumcision is legal. North Richland picked up the practice during the late 19th and early 20th century to prevent masturbation and other perceived issues of the time. The practice of male circumcision has declined in North Richland since the late 20th century, but still has a high male circumcision rate compared to most other western countries with 40% of surveyed men saying they are circumcised. Female circumcision is currently illegal.
