Angelic (Urban Fantasy/Dystopia)

Postby Nuridia » Thu Jan 19, 2017 11:38 pm

I haven't said much about most of the archangels' personalities because I want to leave room for the people who want to play them. Now on to the OP.

Heaven and Hell, the ancient foes that have been at each other's throats ever since time began, or perhaps even before that nobody knows. We all know that the angels are the good guys and the demons are bad, right? Well not always, it's the norm but not all heavenly beings are good and not all demons are bad just like not all humans are all good or all bad. Heaven isn't all sparkles and rainbows, because angels are more human like than people care to think. They fight and squabble, they love, they hate, they hold grudges, some even have sex with non angels (which is a big no-no). Hell is a pretty bad place, like BAD. But to some it has its good points. However during the war for heaven over five thousand years ago, things came to a stalemate. Heaven triumphed and the world was at piece again, all was well. Even the primordial races of the Earth have started to come to some sort of truce.

At least it WAS all well, until recently. Things have been pretty chill so far, but then it happened. Nobody knows how it happened, but they do know why. Somebody has broken into the Vault, Heaven's strongest fortress used for storing things. It's said to be impenetrable, but apparently it wasn't as impenetrable as everybody thought. Bottom line is that somebody broke in and stole the Tesseract, it looks unassuming at first glance, just a simple black stone but in reality it's the most powerful object known in the universe. It has the energy to destroy entire planets...or universes as well as reform them, and that's what's scary about all this. Of course people suspect a demon taking it, who else could have broken into the vault? However some suspect an inside job, maybe an angel gone rogue. Anyway, there is a machine buried in a vault in the center of the Earth called the Doomsday Device, forged millions of years ago. It can only be powered by the Tesseract, and it's the machine that's gonna bring about the apocalypse/endwar. However, if it's activated too soon...not only will the apocalypse destroy Earth, but also the entire universe. The rulers of hell have long planned to trigger the early Apocalypse to take over Heaven, and that's what they're afraid of. Whoever took the Tesseract, they didn't take it because it looks pretty. The scramble is against the clock, Heaven has mounted a retrieval mission to get it back and Hell is trying to take it for themselves. Whose side are you on?

This is modern day Earth, 2017. The starting city, Toronto, Canada. You play as one of the listed races (angels and demons are the main ones though) and you're either trying to get the Tesseract back to stop the apocalypse, taking it for yourself to start it, aiding your allies or trying to keep out of all this drama but end up getting sucked in anyway. The choice is yours.

Races:

Extremely powerful immortal beings of light created by God, angels' true forms are extremely beautiful winged humans surrounded with a radiant glow, but they can change their shapes at will. Most humans are overwhelmed by an angels' true form, so they disguise themselves when they go out. Their wings are large and feathered, and come in as many shapes and colors as there are birds on Earth, perhaps even more. Most are a stickler for the rules, they do their assigned jobs and they love their lives in heaven. Although they accept humans as their charges, most angels look down on them to a certain degree because of the way they "sin" and they absolutely loathe demons. They vary however as much as humans do and angels have their own vices. Not all of them are these perfect immortals however, some go rogue. Fall and become humans and/or demons, or are punished for breaking Heaven's rather strict laws. Most angels are terrified of Falling, however some are jealous because their lesser kin have more free choice than they do. They observe a strict hierarchy, and can be promoted although this is difficult. Each rank is headed by a chief, and angels can have several titles at once even though the ranks may conflict (for example, Raphael is the Chief of Cherubs, Michael is the Chief of Powers, and Uriel is the Chief of Thrones even though they themselves are archangels)

Hierarchy of Angels: http://failmacaw.tumblr.com/post/689362 ... hic-for-my

Seraphim: The highest rank, also known as the Burning Ones they are the guardians of God's throne. A seraph has six wings and they are said to be so radiant that no human being can look upon their true forms without burning. Even lesser angels have a hard time staring directly at them.

Cherubim: They are protectors, warrior guides and guardians who attend directly upon God. Fierce and bright, they are guardians of all sorts, of gates, of spiritual sanctuaries, and of temples. Usually wield flaming swords. They are in charge of keeping harmony and wisdom in balance

Thrones: The angelic judges, they are the symbols of divine authority and justice and they make up the heavenly high court. Their jobs are to enforce laws, hand down verdicts and judge and punish the condemned.

Dominions: They are angels of intuition, leadership and light, they are the intellects and inspirers and give guidance to younger and lower angels as well as artistic and intellectual guides to humans. They favor creativity and wit.

Virtues: Angels of choice, direction and motion, they are the guardians of free will and pathways. They are in charge of making sure that the right path is chosen by their charges, as well as creating, navigating and clearing pathways of morality and physical paths.

Powers: Angels of power and defense. These are your warriors, your soldiers and your fighters. They protect and guide warriors and military personnel as well as assist in spiritual and physical battles. They inspire military tactics and help with outcomes of war. They are the protectors and keepers of history as well as heaven's defense force.

Principalities: Angels of nations, they are the angelic princes/princesses that protect and guide empires and nations. They are said to be the ones that went down to earth and educated the very first leaders. They are also in charge of leaders and counsel, they guide and select leaders and rulers as their charges and inspire them to be great.

Archangels: Chief angels, these are the angelic rulers that stand in God's presence and act as His emissaries, they are the protectors of human life and the ones that read and carry out divine decrees. Seven are known by name, all their names end with the suffix el-meaning God/of God.

Michael: Chief of Powers and the commander of God's armies. He is the military leader and top warrior of Heaven, and the one who led and won the last two Great Wars as well as kicked the devil out of heaven personally. Considered to be the greatest warrior and general that ever lived as well as the highest of the archangelic princes. He's highly protective of his siblings and often has to break up their squabbles as he's the oldest and most powerful, although they mostly get along (most of them).

Gabriel: God's messenger, he's in charge of delivering all the most important messages and making sure that they are heeded. He has a trumpet, the Horn of Gabriel. When he blows it, it either is signifying the Apocalypse or the arrival of God Himself (or a very important message)

Raphael (reserved for me): Heaven's Chief Doctor, the Archangel of Healing. He is one of the few angels that truly cares for humanity and their suffering, has interceded on their behalf many times. The greatest healer in the universe and the only one with the power to truly restore life, he's the one who healed the Earth after the last Apocalypse (the Flood/Giants). Kind, gentle and caring with a seeming endless amount of patience, he loves all his siblings but Michael is his favourite brother and the two have the closest bond to one another than to the others.

Uriel: The Judge, Uriel is the archangel of repentance, judgement, vengeance and punishment, he is in charge of trying, judging and condemning the guilty as well as overseeing repentance and carrying out the divine retribution.

Chamuel: The angel in charge of love, they are non-binary and often shift between a male and female form, whatever they identify as that day or whatever they feel comfortable with. They are Heaven's matchmaker and are in charge of all forms of love in the universe, romantic and platonic. They help with problems in relationships and encourage things that inspire love. They like their brother Raphael has a very compassionate nature and loves humanity. Chamuel sees beauty in all things, even demons which shocks their fellow angels.

Azrael: The Angel of Death and guardian of the underworld, he is in charge of retrieving the souls of the dead and guiding them to Sheol, the place of the dead where they await judgement. After that he guides them to their destination. When somebody is marked for death, Azrael is sent to go carry out that task and collect their souls which makes him clash greatly with his brother Raphael, although they love one another they don't get along very well because one tries to save lives and the other is in charge of taking them. He gets along better with his oldest brother Michael, as they both have a pretty similar view on death.

Kokabiel: The archangel of the stars. She's Heaven's astrologer and the only (cis) female out of the seven. She is the angel of astrology and is charged with creating and naming new stars, she is said to have taught humans the constellations and have created the first star map. She's the patron of astronomers, astrologers and astronauts/space explorers.

Angels: The lowest rank of angels, they are the ones who have the most contact with humanity and guide them through life as well as deliver messages and appear in dreams. This is the place where most of your guardian angels come from.

Mostly malevolent entities that are the residents of hell (this is Dante style, with nine layers). They have a huge hatred toward Heaven (most of them) and often try to dissuade, prank or outright exterminate humanity, for example the Black Death was totally their fault, but some find them fascinating and even breed among them. The first demons were angels whom rebelled against God and as such they have no love for the big man upstairs. However most demons now are born in hell, rather than cast down here as they evolved into a separate species from the angels. They come in many forms and shapes but usually their true form is a human with horns and bat like wings as well as perhaps a tail and some animal-esque limbs/features. Their facial features and hair/eye/skin color are far more variable than an angels or humans. They are usually responsible for human ills and sins, they really don't do it because they hate humans but some do, they do it to piss off heaven. Demons, like angels are immortal and powerful, and can also change shape at will to whatever they desire but most turn their talents to evil rather than good, not all of them though. They also have a hierarchy like the angels, although they don't really have specialized jobs tied to their rank, but tied to their function.

King/Queen of Hell: The ruler of hell and the one in charge of all the demons, they are the most powerful of all of them usually and the next ruler is usually determined by whichever child of theirs can defeat them.

Princes/Princesses: The high ranking children of the king or queen, usually of pure demon blood but sometimes half-bloods can be made so by their parents.

Viceroys: They're officials, they're next in line to be king or queen if anything happens to the heirs and their function is akin to a duke and enforcer, they protect the king or queen and rule in their stead if they can't.

Lords: The rulers of the layers, they are in charge of the punishments of whatever soul is unfortunate enough to get sentenced to their layer as well as in charge of the demons that reside there, they answer to none but the rulers.

Knights: Guardians of the Lords and the bulk of the military.

Daemons: They are the junior rank, they're the ones who go out into the world and cause havoc and trouble and are responsible for most of the problems that humans suffer.

, Immortal, undead and powerful, vampires are a fairly young race as they are younger than the humans. The first vampire it's said is created in Egypt thousands of years ago due to a powerful curse. They were dying of plague and tried to use dark magic to save themselves, however they ended up dying instead. They came back, but as an undead being, neither truly alive nor truly dead. They must feed on blood to survive, and although animal blood can do they prefer human blood. They are beautiful, fast and deadly and have a very obvious weakness for the sun. They can't come out during sunlight and so sleep during the day in coffins usually, at which time they become truly dead. Vampires have extremely heightened senses and great physical strength, but the only way to become one is to be turned. Also newborns are fairly weak, with powers developing as they age and they can't even transform (usually a bat or a raven) until their thirtieth year. They usually live in close knit groups called covens, although they do have a ruler known as the vampire king/queen that is elected every thousand years and decided by the outcome of a duel.

Witches are almost as reclusive as vampires, sometimes even more so. They are ordinary humans that use magic, but contrary to popular belief they don't all get their magic from deals with evil forces. Most of them just harness natural magic and learn to control it. Magic in this world is an invisible force that only becomes visible when a witch or wizard taps into it, anybody could harness it if they actually had the training and skill but most of them don't want to learn because magic frightens them. And that's why witches and wizards typically distrust normal humans, they've been killing their kind off with witch burnings for centuries and it has driven magic users to try to blend in as best they could. And yes, witches ride brooms (though this isn't their main form of transport in urban areas, most just use cars). Magic in this world is more akin to Charmed magic, the possibilities are endless. You can pretty much do anything with magic, you can't just be OP and you can't do things like destroy a planet or bring back the dead/cause instant death. You also can't generate life with magic either. Although not immortal, witches and wizards are incredibly long lived and can live for centuries.

Just your average run of the mill every day human. Nothing special here at all, unless you're trying to become a witch or something.

Legend has it that the first werewolves were born when a princess had sex with a large intelligent wolf, claimed by many to be some supernatural being in disguise. But the son from that union was born normally, until he turned three. Then on the full moon he became really hairy and started to turn into a large, monstrous wolf like creature akin to Harry Potter werewolves. The descendants of that son began the line of werewolves, and their transformation is something that they have no control over. They usually form packs for protection and companionship since many seem to shun them, although they're normal humans for most of the month. One thing about werewolves is that they usually crave very rare meat when in human form, and they are highly allergic to silver. Like they can't touch it or else they burn, like iron with fairies. Werewolves are more of a condition than a separate species, and while some tear apart humans and like killing, most of them don't. In fact they hate what they are, but a handful are comfortable with it.

So, do/how do humans know about this, and how would they get involved?

Well vampires and werewolves were former humans, and witches are humans. As for humans knowing, they have very religious humans of course, I imagine a Fantastic Beasta type situation with Jacob meeting his wizard friends and helping them. Kind of like Supernatural with Cas and the others.

Could I have an independent angel [Trying to find it her/himself] or a human caught up in the chaos after getting caught in a conflict between angels and demons in Toronto? Or perhaps an angel exiled to earth who has learned to bend in with the humans?

Name: Nefertari
Gender: Female
Age: 2641
Race: Human (Formerly)
Appearance: (She is furthest away from the POV, behind her husband and the Principality)
Rank (if an angel or demon): Daemon
Occupation: Formerly Queen of Atlantis, Currently a minion of Hell.
Sexual/Romantic Orientation: Bisexual.
Backstory: Atlantis was quite recent that what Plato (A descendant of Atlantis trying to cover up its existence) lay between Egypt and Greece, and was a trading area between the Two. Akhenaton V and his wife Nefertari III ruled the land there. Nefertari and Akhenaton were friends with the Angel who was the Principality of their nation. But one day an Empire to the east threatened Atlantis. Nefertari realised that the Principality had deserted them and had fled Atlantis. The High Priests and the Royal Family decided to use a last ditch device to summon Angelic help to defend Atlantis in the Caldera of a massive volcano. Bad idea. Unaware that the artefact she was using was a Demonic one, Nefertari unintentionally created an explosion which decapitated the Atlantean Leadership and dang near vaporized the country. The Survivors of Atlantis (numbering under 40,000) fled to the land that would soon become Italy and hid all knowledge of their Heritage, aware that their leaders had tampered with otherworldly knowledge. They feared that if one went into the Caldera of the Nation's volcano, disaster would befall the world. Without the heavenly assistance it relied on, Atlantis was sacked in the the 6th Century BC.
Nefertari had survived that one. The energies created by that goof left her in an immortal body, but she was left alone on a deserted and pillaged island with no one to rescue her. She was eventually found by Angels and banished to Hell, where she was spent 2617 years as a minion of the Leadership. As she is a genuine human, she was always sent up to the Human realm to cause chaos and destruction. After centuries of causing the rise and fall of Empires, Nefertari has become a thorn in the side of Heaven. The fact that she is really hard to kill is frustrating a lot of Principalities, including the one that threw her under the proverbial bus. At present, she is in Toronto, Canada; awaiting support from Hell to pursue the Tesseract.

Likes: Fast/Egyptian/Greek Food, Lightly spiced meals, trolling the Angels sent to kill her.
Dislikes: Angels, really spicy food, The Principality that betrayed her, people messing around with stuff they don't understand.
Strengths: She is very hard to kill. After millennia spent living, she also knows the very important languages like English and can operate human weaponry.
Weaknesses: Even though she's hard to kill, she's still human. She barely weighs anything (A child could pick her up), so a punch can easily knock her over.
Powers/Abilities:
Equipment: various human weaponry, chainswords (Swords attached to a long chain, which she uses for long range melee attacks).
Goals: Find the Tesseract.

Nefertari, you're accepted. Here's my app:

Name: Amitiel
Gender: Female
Age: 2,100 (that's extremely young by angel standards, the angelic equivalent of twenty one)
Race: Angel
Appearance: She's tall and like most angels stunningly beautiful. She has an athletic but feminine build with bright green eyes and long blue-black hair with blue streaks in it that falls past her waist. She's often wearing sexy clothes which she likes and her teacher can't make sense of, especially leather, denim, glitter and short shorts/miniskirts and never without a pair of high heeled boots, her wings are large and broad, with feathers in shades of blue and indigo although some of her flight feathers are black.
Rank (if an angel or demon): Angel (archangel in training)
Occupation: Warrior-healer
Personality: Personality- She is a cheerful, vibrant angel who enjoys life especially human things. She’s boisterous, loud and headstrong, always too quick to rush into battle. A prankster, sometimes she takes her jokes way too far but never means any harm. Childish and petulant she can get upset when things don’t go her way but mostly a good kid wit sh a penchant for mischief. She talks a mile a minute and has the attention span of a rat. She’s eager to learn but highly opinionated and very impatient, and she adores Raphael (whom she calls Chief). The two have a very strong teacher student bond and she’s Raphael’s favorite student though they fight often. Amitiel has a strong sense of justice and honor and hates seeing innocents get hurt.
Sexual/Romantic Orientation: Bi
Backstory: Amitiel is the daughter of Yaphadiel, the angel of brightness and fortune. She didn't have a real father in a sense, her mother was given the child directly by God, planting the baby into her womb through magic. And when the child was born her mother named her Amitiel, meaning "God is my friend." She grew up and had a very happy childhood in Heaven which was quite unremarkable really, except her blue wings made her stand out because that wing color is very rare. A curious child, she would sneak down to the human world when she was young and was fascinated by humans. Not enough for her to leave of course, for her Heaven would always be home because everything she loved was there. Eventually as she got older, like all young angels she would be turned over to the care of a teacher to learn angelic lessons once they got old enough for schooling. Yaphadiel chose Raphael, a good friend of hers and the angel of healing to be the one to be her daughter's teacher. Little Amitiel took a liking to him right away, and so she started her training under him. Sometimes they wonder if they should've given her to Michael instead because the young angel was much more of a fighter than a healer. But Raphael was no slouch on the battlefield himself, although an incredible medic he's also known as one of Heaven's deadliest swordsmen and has smote several demons himself.

The two are very close, however due to their clashing personalities, Raphael's serious law abiding nature and Amitiel's loudness and disregard for authority, they bicker frequently. Sometimes she just doesn't listen, which has led to her getting hurt and her teacher having to heal her several times. They're vitriolic best buds in a sense, sometimes more like friends or siblings than like a teacher and student. But hurt one of them and you'll have the other one on your ass, that's for sure. Anyway, Amitiel is in training to become an archangel and new candidates are picked every five thousand years or so, and everyone was surprised when she was chosen. Especially given her age, if she passes this she'll be the youngest archangel in history, but to do so she needs to prove her worth before her graduation ceremony. And when she and Raphael were chosen to be the ones to retrieve the stolen Tesseract, it came as a shock to them both. Raphael and her mother protested, saying she was too young and she could get hurt, however Amitiel was ready. She was excited by this mission of course, and so the two were sent to Earth, where they've been living together while they complete their mission.
Likes: Revealing clothing, fighting baddies, her parents, Raphael, flying, human stuff
Dislikes: Homework, being told what to do, being bored, perverts, demons
Strengths: She's hell on a sword, that's for sure. She's not afraid to use her charm and feminine wiles to get her way either or pout/puppy dog eyes. An excellent flier and pretty agile, especially since she's so young.
Weaknesses: Her healing abilities aren't as good as her fighting skills, she's not very good at them. She can heal relatively minor wounds in a pinch but she's nowhere near as good as her teacher wishes she was, which exasperates him. Hot headed and doesn't listen to rules much, also very impatient.
Powers/Abilities: Living lie detector, as the angel of truth she can see through lies and always knows when she's lied to. Not only that she can see through disguises as well, magical or otherwise since they're a form of lies. When she locks eyes like somebody it's like a truth serum, she can compel somebody to tell only the truth. Also she has powers over water and ice.
Equipment: A rapier, a short sword and two daggers. A small book of spells.
Goals: To become a real archangel, to get the tesseract back.
Uru, Queen of Diamonds.
The Diamond card suit represents fire, strength and power. Sister of the Queen of Hearts, Queen of Spades and the Queen of Clubs.

I plan on making a Daemon businessman/con artist, but unfortunately, there are some problems. What about birth certificates, background information, and things like that? Are demons even born to resemble normal human children? It is certain that legal issues would arise.

Demons are like angels, they can shift into whatever form they choose. They don't look like normal humans naturally but they can make themselves appear so.

Thank you for clarifying. What about the rest of the information, however?

People can forge birth certificates, they do it all the time. But it would take time, and cunning and maybe bribes. Most would say they were born in a foreign country to avoid such problems. Births of angels and demons are recorded in their individual registries, like vampires. Hell would have a scribe who takes down all these things, like Heaven has Metatron.

Name: Raphael, called Red by friends.
Gender: Male
Age: A few years older than the Earth actually, or as Amitiel said "pretty damn old"
Race: Angel
Appearance: He has long, curly carrot red hair which he usually ties back and dark brown eyes, although like all angels can change appearance at will. He's said to be very handsome although with an innocent look about him, he's tall and leanly built with skin dotted with freckles, even more so in the sun. His wings are white tinged with gold.
Rank (if an angel or demon): Archangel
Occupation: Healer, Chief Physician of Heaven, High Chairman of the Heavenly Council, Head of the Medic Corps
Personality: Personality- Raph is one of the sweetest, nicest guys you will ever meet although he's also quite serious and stern. He’s the most chill and pacifistic out of all his brothers and is content to spend the day quietly as opposed to fighting. His brothers are highly protective of him due to this, especially his favorite brother Michael. Even though he’s very even tempered, Raphael will let you know when he’s irritated because it starts to seep out in his voice. He's very serious when it comes to protocol and rules, and hates when a patient disobeys an order. One of his biggest pet peeves is somebody not taking their own health seriously. Although he prefers not to, he can definitely hold his own in a fight and is one of Heaven’s deadliest swordsmen, he’s very sharp tongued and brutally honest although he always feels bad about it afterwards, he thinks the truth is important and you need to tell it no matter how painful it is. Like most angels he has an adverse hatred of demons although he does pity some of them. Raphael has a very long rope, longer than most of his brothers’ but you do NOT want to reach the end of that rope. When the normally placid Raphael gets angry, even his hardened warrior captain brother is frightened of him. Insult his Father, threaten his brothers and he gets very angry. And if you try to touch Amitiel...well it was nice knowing you.
Sexual/Romantic Orientation: He doesn't really have one, although he has had romantic feelings for people he's hardly acted on them.
Backstory: Raphael is the fourth of seven siblings, his older sibs are Michael, Uriel and Kokabiel and his younger siblings are Chamuel, Azrael, and Gabriel. As the middle child he was a bit of the peacekeeper in the family and had to break up his squabbling siblings a lot of the time, although he did a fair amount of squabbling with Azrael and the others on his own. They are a very tight knit group, especially Michael and Raphael. Those two were always the closest of brothers and everyone knew it. The other ones even joked when they wanted to ask Michael for a favor, "Get Raphy to ask him, he never says no to him." And it was pretty much true. They were created rather than born and were raised by Anabiel, an angel that cures stupidity during their childhoods.

Raphael was promoted to archangel after he finished his schooling. He had a natural knack for healing and became heaven's Chief Physician as well as the Archangel of Healing and did his job well for eons. He didn't tend toward combat much but as the battle medic he had to learn how to defend himself. He's had to heal his brother Michael more times than he could count, him being captain of the army and rushing into battle and all. When humans were going to be created, many angels of course protested the decision but Raphael was the first one to defend their creation against almost all of his fellow angels...which earned him some scorn but many angels admired his bravery. Eventually he received an apprentice, Amitiel who was to be the next candidate for the newest archangel just like the archangels sometimes receive students. He's trained her in angelic ways ever since she was turned over to his care, and they've developed a very strong bond almost like sibling/parents. They're very protective of one another, which is why Raphael protested thar Amitiel be sent on this mission with him when the Tesseract was stolen, claiming that she was too young but she was chosen anyway. Now they're in Toronto together disguised as humans trying to retrieve the most powerful object in the universe.
Likes: Healing, books, movies, good jokes, sweets, his brothers, Amitiel
Dislikes: When patients disobey orders, killing, disrespect, vices (sins), overtly sexual conversations, bullies, the dark.
Strengths: He’s a fantastic healer, calm under pressure and has almost endless patience. He loves his job and is very good at what he does, which makes him the greatest healer in the universe. He's also good with a sword.
Weaknesses: His aversion to killing things sometimes can get him in trouble. He has crippling nyctophobia, like “drop everything and curl up in a corner” bad. His brother Gabriel locked him in the Pit once when they were little as a joke, let’s just say the young frightened angel literally tried to rip the door off to get out. He’s been traumatized ever since, and cannot bear to be in a pitch black room. It’s even worse if the door is locked, because his escape route is cut off and he feels trapped. When he’s in the dark, he either starts freaking out and just curls up in on himself or he’ll go nuts and break objects trying to get out.
Powers/Abilities: He can heal pretty much anything, and I mean ANYTHING. But his power depends on the Presence, if God doesn't want them healed then there's nothing Raphael can do, no matter how hard he tries.

Name: Thuringwethil, nicknamed Gweth
Gender: Female
Age: 40 (biologically 21)
Race: Vampire (formerly human)
Appearance: She has a slender willowy figure and very pale skin. Her eyes are bright silver like most vampires and she has long wavy black hair that is mid back length streaked with blue.
Sexual/Romantic Orientation:
Backstory: She was born in 1977 in New Orleans, Louisiana to her mother Penelope, a bartender and waitress, and her father Chaol who is a chef at the family Chinese restaurant/bar they jointly own, the Red Dragon. In addition to being a huge bookworm, her mother was also a LOTR nerd so she gave Gweth her name after the vampire in the Silmarillion because Gweth was born the year that it came out. Her parents often didn't have a lot of money, but they at least made sure that there was food and the clothes were always clean even though they weren't always new. They had a loving family however and a comfortable home, even when they fell on hard times they had each other. Her childhood was a rather normal one
Likes: Revealing clothing, fighting baddies, her parents, Raphael, flying
