A Map of Kamansk. Capitals of the factions are shown in red stars, though the map is outdated and i need someone who can upgrade the map, including Novosibirsk as the Fascist capital, with the color red for the PRK capital, blue for KDO capital, and yellow for KFP capital

Background:
For years, Kamansk has suffered immensely under the current Dictatorship, with a very low economy, which in turn caused a crumbling infrastructure, frequent protest, and poor citizens. The boiling point, however took place in 15 January 2016, when a protest in front of the Capitol in the Kamansk capital city of Vladivostok turned deadly, with 867 protestors out of the 5.000 killed and 1.456 injured by the Kamanskian Military, which deployed heavily armed soldiers and even tanks and artilleries to deal with the protestor. Further protestor which went into hiding, numbering in 1.097 were disappeared by the Kamanskian secret police. The surviving protestor managed to hide from the Military and Secret Police, where they teamed up with more discontent people of Kamansk and some exiled High Ranking Officials, including some Military Members that supported Capitalism to form the Kamanskian Democratic Organization (KDO).

They quickly garnered supporters in just during the six months in hiding, recruiting discontent populaces, and supporting some discontented military commanders to defect into their Organization. They also get weapons and other equipments as well as funding through the Black Market, Underground Dealer, and the Capitalist Countries, such as the US, UK, Russia, South Korea and basically most rich capitalist countries. They eventually launched their attacks on Arkhangelsk (Archangel) in 15 July 2016, where they manage to take it from the Kamanskians. They then launched further attacks on another city in Kamansk and supported rebellion across the nation.

However, a stalemate happened between both factions of Kamansk. During the stalemate, Siberia Province rebelled from the People's Republic of Kamansk and establish the Kamanskian Fascist Party (KFP). The Kamanskian Fascist Party, being a pure capitalist, totalitarian faction, with their capital in Novosibirsk, hates both factions of the Kamanskian Civil War. The KFP however, has decided to declare war on PRK first, mobilizing it's army to attack PRK. The half a year stalemate however will soon be broken on 2 January 2016, when the KFP gains an upper hand and manage to conquer some PRK lands. Then, the Kamanskian Holy Army of Salvation (KHAS) was formed with their base in Magadan, complicating the situations.

Roma

The city woke up as if it were any day, thousands of ordinary people came out of their homes with your suits towards the office buildings or factories, buses and trams circulated to the maximum, all were still taking their coffees when the newspaper and the television showed the news of the various networks televisas in which showed the collapse of a large country with a siberian exporter of gas and other resources, immediately the departments and the senate sent their official positions to the emperor, who had barely awakened.

Fillipo Palatium, Imperial Residence

"Your Majesty, see this!" Spoke the poor employee full of official documents talking about respect of the outbreak of the war
Augustus was a few months in his position, and is therefore concerned more with the quality of the roman population rather than to international affairs, a maximum of small interventions in humanitarian requests of nations allied, this never had happened with the emperor, immediately ordered a small meeting in the senate to discuss the best thing to do, he also saw by the media that the population was favorable to the democrats that fought against the government, the communists and the damned fascists, it took a little bit until you reach the building of the senate, the Palazzio Madama, that was a few kilometers of your residence.

Image
Palazzio Madama, Roman Senate

When Augustus arrived, faced with hundreds of journalists and the flashes of lights from all over the empire asking about the official position of the emperor, when he entered the palace, saw the senators gathered to discuss the crisis and other miscellaneous subjects in addition to the groups already sending their declaration and repúdios, after the authority arrive, all sat down and the session was initiated by the senatorial-consul Piettro Tornorum, a liberal-democrat avid with enough approval by the members of the chamber, it was obvious that all would support the democrats that were fighting by the end of the dictatorship and of the damned fascists, in less and 2 hours was broadcasted by national newspapers that the nation would support the libertarians, and would fight against the plague-wide, despite not having demonstrated any hatred against the socialists.

The armed forces were immediately called to mobilize a small amount of 50,000 legionaries divided in 2 legions, 4 legions of tanks and armor, valued at 40 units, plus air support, the roman soldiers made a small presentation to the population dressed with the typical suits like those of the 30s and 50s, were all airborne, and just waited for the official response from the rebels, since telegrams were sent demontrando the support of the roman, apart from that, everything was prepared for the war and the liberation of the people of Kendor, it was all a matter of time.

The Briefing Room, located two floors below the ground floor of the Cabinet Office building, is not exactly an impressive room to look at. Very little about it's décor belies the magnitude of the decisions that have been made in this room, and by those that preceded it. Simply, it was a conference room - much like the many thousands of others that dotted the central district of Goram's foremost city. It featured a long table, which on first glance appeared to be of some stone or perhaps marble design. It's far wall comprised a large HD screen. At first glance, it appeared to be a normal conference room. However, it was what the eye did not see which made the room remarkable - living up to it's price tag of millions of pounds.

The walls were armoured, thickly. The room, and the one next to it, was proof against both nuclear and biological weapons. It had a self contained air filtration system. In the event of a major war breaking out and high ranking government or leadership officials could not leave the capital, that war could be fought from this room in relative safety from near any weapon the enemy could deploy against them. Today, however, none of those features that cost so much of the tax payers money was being used. The only point of interest today was the group of people sat in various seats around the long, grey/white table, and the uniformed man standing at a podium next to large screen.

The man wore the uniform of a Commander in the Royal Navy. Ordinarily, a Commander in the senior service might be regarded as reasonably senior. In the Fleet Air Arm, he could command a squadron. In surface vessels, if he was talented, he could be considered for command of a destroyer displacing close to 10,000 tons and worth nearly $2 billion USD. Although not the most senior of ranks, a Commander's authority and his responsibilities were considerable. But this man wasn't in the Fleet Air Arm, not was he in command of a destroyer. Judging from the insignia from on the collar of his immaculately pressed black uniform, the Commander in question came from Naval Intelligence and today, in spite of everything else, he was the most junior man in the room. Arrayed around the table before him was a collection of men and considerably fewer women, comprising a number of Admirals, several Generals, an Air Marshal, the Foreign Minister, the Defence Minister, the Prime Minister and his Chief of Staff. All in all, it they comprised some the most powerful military and civil figures in the country.

"Approximately an hour ago, a reconnaissance satellite passed Kamanskian airspace."

The screen flickered on, to show a massive map of Kamansk. In his hand, the Commander held a tablet linked to the wall map behind him. From this, he was able to manipulate the picture and he zoomed into to show a remarkably high quality image of the area around Arkhangelsk.

"As you know, after the massacre of January 15th the KDO formed as an underground movement to oppose the dictatorial government in Kamansk. Later that year, they surfaced and took Arkhangelsk."

Nothing here was news to anyone in the room. Ever since the Vladivostock incident, the United Kingdom had been taking a role in supporting the fledgling KDO. Weaponry and training had been supplied to the rebels, in order to throw down their oppressive government. This, of course, had initially been done behind closed doors. Prior to the fall of Arkhangelsk, weapons had been smuggled in quietly. They had come at night, and in small quantities. After the fall, it had become easier. The capture of the city and it's airport made the delivery of weaponry much easier. Officially, the weaponry in question had been "bought" by the KDO, giving legitimacy to the dealings. In reality, they were being given free of charge. A veritable waterfall of small arms, light anti-tank weapons and light vehicles had poured into KDO held territory. With the munitions had come 85 individuals, all of which could be identified as representatives of private arms firms. Again, this was a deception. They had each been fitted with water tight legends, but each came from the 21st Supply - an elite special unit, meant precisely for covert operations and deep battlefield penetration. But now, things could be changing. Massively. The picture on the wall zoomed further, and split into multiple images - each with a time stamp.

"As you can see here, government and rebel forces belonging to a number of factions have begun moving. Fascist forces have already begun to push South, and it's only a matter of time before the government, the fascists or another splinter group turns on the KDO. There is the potential here that the Democrats are destroyed, and the entire country falls into the control of a non-favourable government. Regardless of that, the situation seems almost certain to descent into a violent civil war that could see millions killed or displaced."

Questions came from both the uniformed officers and the politicians in the room. The Commander did his best to answer those directed at him, but most were not. Options were being discussed now, options that quickly rose far above his pay grade. It was clear to all in the room that the KDO could not be allowed to fall, but nor should the country be allowed to embroil itself in a bloody civil war. Goram would prepare itself to fight, but it would do it quietly and it would look for a diplomatic resolution first.

Later that afternoon, barely hours after the briefing, did the Prime Minister make a speech those Members of the Government and of the Opposition that were present in the Lower House of the Parliament Buildings. It was hastily written - the speech writing staff not having had time to perfect it at such short notice - but it sufficed. In it, the Prime Minister spoke extensively over the situation in Kamansk. He warned of the potential outcome, and the bloodshed that could so easily come about over the incident. He called strenuously on the Government and all rebel factions, urging them to come to a suitable diplomatic solution. Later that evening, however, political analysts dissected the speech. Live on television being streamed or broadcast to an international audience, they pointed out that some of the language Prime Minister used hinted of tacit support for the KDO. They turned his words this way and that, growing more and more convinced of the Government's implied position and what's more; for once the analysts who were so often mistaken, had for once hit the nail right on the head. For even now, events were moving ahead.

Orders were being drafted for a battlegroup, centred around the carrier King James VII, to put to sea. KJ4 would go with a heavy escort - three Swiftsures, four Audacious class destroyers, the smaller carrier Glorious and as yet undecided number of hunter killer submarines in support. Elsewhere, lights clicked on in a massive storage unit close to the coast. The florescent lights shone down on the bulky forms of heavy vehicles beneath. 60 Gladiator IV main battle tanks, retired these two years past. They were replaced in front line service by the excellent Spartan of the Arsenal of Anemos Major - perhaps the world's premier MBT. The Gladiator couldn't hope to match it, or it's contemporaries. But it's 120mm gun and stout frontal armour meant the Gladiator IV retained it's lethality against the older tanks that were still common place around the world. Now, these retired machines of war and other relics of the 80s and 90s were being dusted off for one massive injection of arms to the KDO cause. These 60 tanks, along with armoured personnel carriers, helicopters, artillery tubes and small arms would be taken out of storage. Over the coming days they would be tested and loaded onto trucks before being driven towards the massive roll on roll off civilian freighters that would ship them to Arkhangelsk and the faction that had "purchased" them. 400 troops would go with the hardware to ensure proper training and equipping - a standard procedure for Goramite arms deals. Finally, orders were being prepared for several divisions of the Goramite Army. They were to begin preparations for a cold weather deployment.

-Meeting Room-

Ah, the meeting room, with it's monotonous though monstrous and impervious walls of gray and it's boring but polished and gleaming floors of near impenetrable and water proof beige tiles. The only things that would make these large walls of reinforced cement interesting were the discussions and conversations within them, and oh my, what a discussion there was within those walls of gray!

"I am telling you my liege," began a man "The people there have been suffering too much under their corrupt government, and besides, their form of communism is shit.", "Too right on mate." replied another. The emperor listened to all of this and contemplated his options, only for him to think "Nah fuck it." he said and thought aloud, "We'll just intervene in favor of the Communists, who knows, we might be able to convert them to our religion, or," the emperor gasped for breath a bit, "We could show then the proper way of communism, and possibly turn them into an ally, or even a puppet!", "Start mobilizing five legions at once you custards!" shouted Emperor Ralts Yggdrasil Fabler-Castell, "Of course sire, right away." replied one of the generals as he went away to start the mobilization of said legions.

-MOBILIZATION-

At the border, men-at-arms were rushing about, preparing machines of war like tanks, MLRS units, and artillery of course. Soldiers loaded shells into them, but did not fire, as what was there to fire upon? Infantry were drilled, and everyone's senses were heightened as much as possible in order to quickly response to any orders by the higher ups.

-A little information-

The New Communist and Socialist Unions, or NCSU for short is a sovereign state in the Finnish and Baltic regions. In territories, it currently has Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Karelia, and Northernmost Russia, which makes the NCSU, a neighbor of Kamansk.

OOC: Please note that Kamansk is not Kendor, but a former puppet of mine that i created. It C'ted thanks to inactivity. Also, my nation is located in a fictional landmass

In Baxter, the capital city of Kendor, things has gone normally. The city contains more than 18 million people within it's boundaries, making it the largest city in Kendor. In addition, Baxter is also the economic and scientific center of Kendor, which is manifested by the many businesses', big buildings, bustling civilian life, and high tech gadgets, items, and stuffs. However, in the Kendorian Military Complex, located just outside the city center of Baxter, in the outskirt, something else happened. President Dan Ferrell of Kendor has decided to go to the War Room of the Kendorian Military Complex, through riding a secret underground train in his Presidential House, the network being kept secret from the ordinary people.

War Room

Some times later, President Dan Ferrell arrive at the War Room, located on the fourth basement floor of the Kendorian Military Complex. There, military commanders have already gathered at the room, after being called by President Dan Ferrell earlier to gather there. The war room looks like a military operations room, containing many computers detailing military things, a meeting table and chairs, a map of Kendor containing important facilities and locations in Kendor, shelves to put secret documents on, and also containing important defense systems, such as automated defense systems to attack and kill any intruders, advanced air filters too filter harmful air, anti EMP barrier, etc. President Dan Ferrell looked at the military commanders, before starting to speak

"Good afternoon, my military commanders. I summon you to a meeting in the War Room in order to discuss about the situation in a country called Kamansk." President Dan Ferrell said

"I have hearded of the situation in Kamansk. They are currently undergoing a civil war, with four factions involved, the government, People's Republic of Kamansk, or PRK, and three rebels, first the Kamanskian Democratic Organization, or KDO, which supports democracy, second the Kamanskian Fascist Party, or KFP, which supports fascism, and the third rebel, the Kamanskian Holy Army of Salvation, which is a group of religious people, which may or may not be fanatic. We must support the democracy." Marshal Debbie Wilson said

"How about the senate?" Ask President Dan Ferrell

"The senate have hearded of the situation too, and they have already voted, with the majority wanting to support the democracy, and intervened militarily." A general, Jack Vanton, said

"Good. Now prepare for a deployment to Kamansk." President Dan Ferrell said

"Okay. We will send an infantry corps, a tank regiment, two armoured vehicle battalion, two artillery battalions, three fighter wings, one bomber wings, one mixed fleet containing ships of all types. We will also send a squad of KAT (Kendorian All Terrain) spec ops soldiers, as well as a platoon of spies." Marshal Debbie Wilson said

"Okay. You must now deploy them in the span of a week." President Dan Ferrell said

"Okay. We will comply with your order." Marshal Debbie Wilson said

"Good. The meeting is now dismissed." President Dan Ferrell said, finishing the meeting.

Following the meeting

Soldiers are now being sended to Kamansk for gradual deployment in the span of a week. The soldier have one simple mission, win the war. The plan for the invasion of Kamansk Democratic Organization's enemies is now started, being titled "Operation Siberian Unification".

OOC: Note, I got all the information here from NSCU's factbook, I assume anything not requiring authorization is public knowledge.

Briefing Room, Undisclosed Location, Ardenia City, Imperial Ardenia - 1800 UTC

Top brass and high-level diplomats alike gathered at this secret facility in the heart of the capital, anxious to give their briefings on the matter to their Emperor. A nation that was once in shambles, caught up in a similar divisive struggle, was eager to lend its hand to those undergoing the same unfortunate turn of events. Just outside the near-synchronized and distinct steps grew closer. The door opened, all the men rose to their feet, chests puffed with impeccable stature as the Emperor and his Guard entered.

The Emperor walked slowly to his seat at the head of the table, standing their silently inspecting his men. "At ease, gentlemen", his baritone rasp gave off the weight of the situation as they all took their seats. The Emperor placed his hands on the table, looking at all those around him. His eyes piercing their very souls. "I don't need to tell you the importance of this situation, you all know that well-enough, as do I. The question then, is this: what are we doing to do in response? First, the Commander."

The Commander rose to his feet and walked to the screen in his typical authoritative fashion, his hands extending to zoom into the map of Kamansk. "Thank you, my Emperor. As we all know, Kamansk is rich in natural resources from oil to iron to arable land. Whichever faction controls Kamansk has a large amount of resources at their disposal, and that will probably determine whom they give their bountiful gains to and what initiatives they will take with them at their disposal."

He pulled up a pie chart, that measured the strength of each faction. "As you all can see, the strength of the Fascist force is almost half that of the incumbent communist government, but they are still gaining ground. Casualties not withstanding, it is clear that the fascists have the upper hand, for now. Foreign intervention from more stable communist regimes is very much likely, one of the most likely of these regimes being the NCSU since they're basically neighbors."

He pulled up a very basic intelligence report on the country, "They're very much powerful, situated to the west of Kamansk. The capability for reinforcing the communists is very much present, and they probably share the same concerns as we do in the matter. It is in my opinion, and the opinions of the analysts under my command, that they will not tolerate a fascist state so close to their lands and will attempt to stop the fascist offensive."

"It is highly recommended that we avoid direct confrontation with them whenever possible, their economic and military base is much larger than ours, and losses that would be devastating to us would be child's play to them. This is why I advise that we mainly offer counsel to the fascists concerning tactics and political maneuvering." The Commander pulled some more intelligence reports, specifically on the SIGINT capabilities of the NSCU.

"On top of having many troops, and quite a large technological base, they have a sophisticated decryption machine known as 'The Decryptor', think of an enigma machine in reverse. It will probably crack any missives sent through telegram or other channels. This is why secrecy and SIGINT is to be very closely guarded. However, we can use this to our advantage. Possibly leaking false intelligence to the enemy to throw them off our true maneuvers in the campaign."

The Emperor nodded, pleased with the in-depth analysis. "Solid work, Commander. You may sit." The Commander took his seat, "Now that we have an idea of what we're against, we are playing against the odds here. The war's looking good so far, but I believe it is necessary to see this for what it is: a blessing. It is only a matter of time before a stalemate is reached, but we're masters of defying odds are we not?"

The top brass and diplomats alike smiled, remembering how they won a civil war under fairly similar circumstances in their own country. "I believe the best course of action is to deploy a brigade for the purposes of training our comrades, along with a special forces platoon to carry out black ops behind enemy lines. I will also be sending a cadre of diplomats to help their political gains domestically and in foreign encounters. Any objections?"

The room was silent, the brass and diplomats content with the plan. "Alright. Send a missive, but do not mention the special forces. As far as both of them are concerned, that platoon does not exist. Understood?" The chanting of "Yes, my Emperor!" echoed throughout the room. "Alright. You understand your roles, you know the plan, now execute it. Dismissed."

It has come to our attention that your armed forces are making gains in your conflict. Our country underwent a very similar civil war to establish the reign of all that is true and good, and we're extending our hand to your aid to make these gains permanent. We are sending a brigade of about 5,000 men to help train your men in more effective tactics and some diplomats to help you solidify your power in the region. Considering the likelihood of foreign involvement, we're confident these newfound resources will be essential in solidifying your reign. It is in both of our best interests that this be so. -Kamanskian/NCSU Border-

It was the usual stuff when military consciousness was raised to heights not seen since the interventionist era, as troops were erecting makeshift towers for the sole purpose of the surveillance of the nearby areas. There was some history behind this, and why the fortifications were finished quickly, as Kamansk was non-communist and socialist, anti even, tensions were always high and borders constantly fortified, but the recent events simply tipped the NCSU over, and there you have it on the borders.

A small column of dust was then spotted, coming from the NCSU side. It seemed that something was coming, but what? Turns out that trucks were coming, and they were filled to the brim with four things, weapons, ammunition, trainers, and foodstuffs. These were what you would call as foreign aid, and where was it directed? Why, the Communists of course, the trainers were for the training of the communist forces in better tactics. Some of these trainers were expert missionaries in the past, and were sent into this mission with yet another mission in mind, to convert.

The trucks stopped at the small makeshift base of tents, small buildings, and surveillance towers for security checks and the like, and eventually they passed in every security check, and they went on their way to Arkhangelsk, to unload their cargo there.

-POV of Popov, One of the Trainers-

"Ah..." I sighed, the cool air turning the breath into a white, fog like mist. "So, what do you think of this all?" asked a good friend of mine, Vasily, "To be honest comrade," I began, "I just have this gut feeling that something will go badly.", "Don't worry much friend," replied Vasily, "We'll succeed, don't you worry.", I simply sighed in response.

"...The tyranny of the Kamanskian governmnet is unacceptable! And we will stop them!" As President Leandro Caldarera finished his speech, thousands of journalists raised their hands to ask questions. "Si, signora Villanova?" Caldarera said, pointing at one of the journalists. "What rebel faction will the government support? As you well know, there are two Rebel Factions." Caldarera smiled, then answered. "The Kamanskian Fascist Party, of course! Who else?" before he could choose another journalist, the secret service agent that was guarding him whispered into his ear."General De Luca is waiting at the conference room, signore." Caldarera adopted a serious look and said: "That's all the questions I have time for today! Until next time!" Then he left the room, heading to the conference room.

Palazzo Ducale, Conference Room

Upon arriving, Caldarera greeted General Nicodemo De Luca, Prime Minister Illario Matarazzo, the other politicians and military officers. "Gentlemen."
The he took his seat at the head of the conference table. "Signore De Luca?" De Luca hastily got up, put up a slide on the HD Screen and said: "As you can see here, signores, Kamansk has been thorn apart by the Tyranny of the Dictatorship Government and Civil War..." Then he went on to say everything they had on the Kamansk civil war, he then changed slides and pointed at the one that just appeared on the screen. "Now, is the time to Intervene. Our first move will be to have Admiral Falzone here..." The Admiral nodded his head." To lead a few aircraft carrriers towards the coast controlled by the PRK. Then, Marshal Biviano will organize bombing campaings using the aircraft carriers as a base. Then, General Argentia will have the men operating from the Aircraft carriers to meet with KFP's, and aid them in whatever they want us to help with. Any questions?" Silence. "Then this meeting is over."

Furby City

Unknown: *over the phone* Sir, there is a civil war in another country. A Capitalist rebel group is rebelling from their corrupt government.

Field Marshal Boo-Kye: This seems just the crisis in NFR, except the shoe is on the other foot over there.

Joint General Boo-Loo: Well then, I'll stick with our anti-Communist policy and help the group.

Unknown: So we will need to arrive at this city.

Fleet Admiral Loh-Lye: But the only way to get too it is through a icy ocean.

Boo-Loo: I got a better idea. We should just go for Vladivostok. I'll get an invasion force. All of you are dissmissed.

8 hours from Vladivostok, 1 week later

Boh-Dah's fleets were sent to deal with the enemy. The plan is simple. Two fleets will capture Vladivostok. Then, special forces will be sent to capture the leaders so they'll surrender. Then, the forces push up to take Vanino and Kabarovsk. This will create a buffer zone to prevent the enemies from retaking the capital. Meanwhile, two more fleets will capture the peninsula in the east. Then, Furbish forces will blitzkrieg to capture more territory. The plan is to capture all territory east of 135 degrees east within a month

Snow floated gently down as the light failed, towards the end of short winter day. In the growing murk, the navigation lights of four titanic vessels burned brightly. Four Roll On, Roll Off freighters steaming in a loose formation - as loose as one might expect from civilian crews, unused to the rigours of station keeping. They were packed to the rafters with equipment and supplies, all bound for the rebel held city of Arkhangelsk. They steamed into the dark and towards the uncertainty of the water around Kamansk at 14 knots.

Elsewhere, the men manning the fixed light ship of Porthampton naval base squinted into the dark. The snow had intensified and the wind had picked up. All in all, poor weather. But the immensely powerful search light atop their mainmast continued is slow, inexorable rotation. Every minute or so, it rotated past what the crew were braving the ill weather to see - the aircraft carrier King James VII. They could only catch glimpses of her, as a fleet of tugs extracted the unwieldy vessel from the confines of the harbour and tried to guide her out into open water. Without actually being able to see her, all of her, it was near impossible to truly comprehend her size. She was over a thousand feet long, displacing more than 75,000 tons. She had a pair of pressurised water reactors, powering for steam turbines which were each connected to a shaft and propeller. She was capable of 32 knots at full power, but in her sea trails she had managed a straight line dash of 34 - a feat that had left her designers and crew stunned. But that was then, eight years ago. Now, deployments and wear had taken it's toll on the machinery. Now, the mighty carrier would struggle to make her original design speed. In the morning, she would take on her air wing. 96 aircraft as a maximum, both rotary and fixed wing, but for this deployment only 72 would be carried - a mixed air wing centred around the F/A-60B "Rogue". The 60B was a dominant aircraft, hyper manoeuvrable, extremely well armed and fitted with modern avionics to allow it to handle stealth aircraft. In short, the Rogue would be able to handle any task it was asked to carry out. Indeed, in terms of air-to-air lethality the Navy considered it second only to its sister - the F-60H. The 60H was a twin seat interceptor, perhaps inspired by the venerable F-14. If the 60B was the sword of the fleet, striking any and all targets, the 60H was its shield. A purebred fighter, designed simply to kill enemy aircraft at any and all ranges at which they may be encountered.

KJ7 's commanding officer stood on Compass platform, with nothing but dark sea and sky and his waiting battlegroup in front. From the yards his personal flag fluttered, along side the White Ensign and the Southern Cross of the fleet to which his ships belonged. It would be a long voyage North, Arkhangelsk, and they would be arrive later than the Ro-Ro's having shadowed the massive freighters all the way. It would likely be a dull voyage, but the Admiral looked forward to it. He, as all high ranking naval officers do, enjoyed his time at sea.

[hr]

KDO perimeter around Arkhangelsk

The sun began to creep above the horizon, beginning the few hours of daylight that the region was afforded during the long winter. It was bitterly cold, well below freezing and the men entrenched in the tree line, looking out over the frozen plain towards the NCSU frontier were miserable. They had cold weather gear, but like most of the KDO's troops, they were poorly trained and not especially well armed. They awoke in the morning to find themselves frozen to the ground and having to dig their vehicles free of deep snow drifts that had fallen during the night. The engines of their vehicles would turn over well enough, but those tracked vehicles of the Battalion's support group found that their foreign supplied machines had their steel treads frozen to the ground as well.

An officer, who a year before had been a police sergeant, stared out over the frontier.

"Christ, do we really have another week of this?"

He commanded a company of near 90 now, and this was his section of the line. His sergeant didn't reply to the question as he came up the trench towards the front. He handed his captain a steaming mug of something. The Captain hadn't a clue what it was, but it hot and that's what mattered - even if it did taste like someone had relieved themselves into the mug.

"Tea? If that was ever even show a cup of tea, it wasn't bloody looking."

He moaned, taking back up his binoculars. He swept back and forth across the countryside.

"Nothing as per usu-"

The officer stopped mid sentence. There was glint that had caught his eye. Something, several somethings were out there and moving. The glint subsided as quickly as it appeared and without the blinding light the Captain could see what caused them. A convoy of vehicles, pushing up the road to Arkhangelsk, coming from the direction of the NCSU.

"Stand to! Stand to!"

The sergeant bellowed, as only an NCO can. The edge of the woods exploded into life as men scrambled to their battle stations. Engines grumbled as those vehicles that could move began to do so. However, the four heavy vehicles allocated to support the Company could not move and from their parked positions, could not fire down the axis of the road.

"Report this to battalion! Send a runner! Prepare to fire warning shots!"

The orders came, shouted down the line or passed as written instructions. The cold had played havoc with their radios.

The bolt clicked back on a 12.7mm machine gun. The barrel elevated slightly, and the gunner pressed down on the triggers. A fifteen round burst of tracer arced towards and well over the NCSU convoy, before another longer blast of gun fire emanated from another gun down the line. The Captain stared down the dual tubes of his binoculars, with his right hand raised. If the convoy didn't stop, he'd drop his hand and all Hell would be let loose.

Roma

"Sir, look at this telegram!" Spoke to a soldier who was monitoring one of the many computers and radars that help the country.

The telegram was of KDO, which had accepted the agreement established among the romans, was also advertised via tv and other means of communication that the majority of the countries that intervened would support the democrats, the legions were already at their posts. The consul, hours later, met with the emperor of hours later, along with some generals to talk about the subject, it was expected that the troops saltassem on the forehead close to russia, where communist forces were doing the democrats retrench, 2 legions would hold on to the tips there, while the other two would march through the south, next to the volga river, where they would keep other industrial cities.

After the meeting, the order was given, the turks gave permission to pass on your airspace, what would make it much easier to maneuver the military. The fleet Siccilli, which contained 12 vessels, among them an aircraft carrier, was sent to the next of the aegean sea, where the empire had a base there, and also where it would launch attacks and bombers near the location.

Military Base Nettuti, Aegean Sea

Hours after the arrival of the fleet, the aircraft which contained the legions came out of the soil going in the direction of the Volvogrado and the capital of the KDO, after a small stop for refueling in Nettuti, something not very slowly. Each aircraft could carry between 70-90 people, were a little heavy but not too abnormal, some fighters 'aquilla-19 were patrolling in case of enemy attack, it was expected that they arrived in a little less than 3 hours, by the distance of the base between the cities.

The first legions to enter into the soil of the KDO was that they were going to stay in Volvogrado, a city very important for the proper functioning of the war machine rebel, after leaving the plane, the General Leocir Prassini, who was commanding two legions, talked with the generals rebels in which planned an offensive position on the two flanks. It was estimated that 20,000 of the legionaries to stay in the city while others of 5,000 would march with the support of tanks and armored cars to Omsk, where another base would be founded to combat the fascists donít in the future, the same thing happened in the capital of the KDO, Archagel, where other to 25,000 legionaries landed led by General Ottaviano Mattos, the two agreed to have a defensive strategy, especially in the capital city to rebel, where future attacks communists would arise, now is just wait.

Coronet, Emerstari

Council of Generals Chamber
As the President, and the Council of Generals, along with the Secretaries of War, and Homeland Defense, and the Lieutenant (Highest rank, and leader of Emerstarian Military besides President.) finished up their meeting in the Council of Generals Building, they gave orders to the 3rd Fleet. The 3rd fleet had just been in the Emerstarian-Brasilistan War a month before, but all the damages were fixed by now, and they were assigned to this ocean.

The Ocean

ENS. Caneri
On board the ENS. Caneri the flagship of the 3rd Fleet, Commander Rick E. Ventier, the person in charge of the Fleet heard the news, and sent a message to another ship in the Fleet the ENS. Valparo. The ENS. Valparo led by Admiral (Emerstarian Military ranks are different then a lot of the Worlds.) George Tyler was sent along with a detachment of a few other ships to get closer to the coast of Kamansk. Once done the ENS. Valparo, a Air Craft Carrier would send 3 planes to drop a small group of Royal Marines to secure a part of the Shore for more troops to detach.

Kamansk

On the Shore
After jumping from the C17 plane, they plan to find a suitable place along the shore, secure it, and have it ready to land reinforcements when needed. The are 40 of them, and they hiked about 3 miles north, and then they found a good unoccupied space. Fifteen would stay there, and set up camp, while 10 scouted ahead, and 5 would try to figure out where Kamansk Democratic Organization Forces were.

Off shore...

The Frigate Svoboda, a Udaloy class ship, cut effortlessly though the relatively calm water. Such still conditions were rare at this time of year, and her sharp bows knifed through the sea with no difficulty what so ever. They ran at flank speed, 35 knots, and on board all manner of klaxons sounded.

They had picked up a number of unknown vessels, steaming so close together it was virtually impossible to distinguish their numbers at such range. And so the frigate, that had once served the Government's navy, sprinted to close the range with what could well be a hostile target. Over internationally recognised frequencies, the Svoboda began transmitting

"Unidentified contacts, this is the frigate Svoboda of the Kamanskian Democratic Navy. Please halt, identify and state your intentions!"

On a more secure channel, more covert messages went out...

Naval Air Station Arkhangelsk was unnervingly quiet. The four MiG-29Ms on the apron could well have been models, had it not been for the exhaust stains, dirt and the moving heads of the crew in their cockpits. They were waiting on ready alert, each aircraft armed with Kh-35 anti-ship missiles and a pair of short range infrared weapons for self defence. They could scramble on a moments notice and be in the air in approximately four minutes.

The crews fidgeted in the cockpits. Who'd have thought it would come to this a year ago? Back when they had been federal fighter pilots, flying their aircraft in support of the Communist government. Now, they were defectors flying for a rebel state against their previous masters. Would this be the moment, they wondered. Was today to be the day when they fired in anger at their old comrades?

Arkhangelsk

Hours after the troops arrive in the capital of the rebel, other waves with tanks and armored cars arrived at the airports and other military bases captured, were 35 units to help in the defense of the city, while the other 5.000 legionaries began the march with assistance motorized to the south, the General Ottaviano immediately called to the command overall, behind new orders.

"General, send the 5,000 legionnaires to Samara, we are contacting the rebels to the construction of a railway provisional until then."

Arkhangelsk...

A man with stars on his collar watched as the Legionnaires poured into the city. They had come that day, by sea and by air and they were most welcome. Of all the major factions, the KDO had the most men. Several Regiments of the fledgling Army were regulars having defected from the Communists. Most were volunteers; police, fire crews, ambulance crews. These skills were useful to the KDO, but most of their 800,000 had never even held a rifle before. How would they fare when the Communists or the Fascists came, with their trained troops and modern weapons? The General with the stars on his collar feared the worst. But now the Legionnaires had come. Fully armed, fully trained and although it had started as a trickle, the vanguard threatened to become a tidal wave. Something to bolster the perimeter with against the assaults that were surely coming.

The General chewed on his pipe as he watched their vehicles trundle down the streets. He was grateful for the help, but they were cocky. Arrogant even. Almost as soon as they had arrived, they issued orders to the rebels for the construction of a railway. This had not sat well with the KDO's military command nor it's provisional government.

"Built it with what?"

One minister had practically bellowed

"We haven't the steel, we haven't the man power. We haven't got a bloody thing!"

They had marched troops south, down to Samara - very nearly 2,000 kilometres to the South. That was a length of front that could not possibly be held by the troops the KDO had. Even now, the perimeter was thin. Those 5,000 Legionnaires would be surrounded by the NCSU and wiped out. The General had no doubt in his mind at all.

A voice behind him caught his attention,

"Generál-polkóvnik?"

He turned to find an intelligence officer, his uniform had clearly seen better days

"The dossier you asked for in the Imperium?"

"Ah, yes, thank you Leytenánt"

He took the file. It was terribly thin. The General sighed. Working for the Communists, he had had all the intelligence a man could want. But now, they simply didn't yet have the infrastructure that the Government possessed.

The Imperium troops were under the command of a man named Ottaviano, but the General had not yet had the honour of meeting him. He pulled a biro from his pocket, and penned a note. He turned back to the Lieutenant

"Leytenánt, you will have this typed up and deliver it by hand to this...Ottaviano. Thank you."

The junior officer saluted and took the scrap of paper to do as he was bid.

"General Ottaviano,

We must have your help in securing our lines against the Government in the East and the NSCU in the West. We expect to be hit by both in the coming days. We strenuously request the recall of 5,000 of your troops from Samara and humbly ask they be redeployed to reinforce our lines on the NSCU frontier. I fear that without help from regular troops, we will not be able to hold the Communists back should they come. We also regret, we have not the resources nor the expertise to build a railway.

Generál-Polkóvnik Jaromir Pokarovic, Officer Commanding, Arkhangelsk Oblast."

President Mendel whisked into the room, followed by a retinue of seven secret service guards. "What's all this about the rebels in Kamansk? We don't share a border," he mused as he moved over to the map table. His Secret Service commander, Isla Guerres, was already there. "Sir, the KFP and PRK are coming to blows. Kamansk can't be lost to either of those factions, or we'll be the last sliver of democracy on the goddamn continent." The President sighed. "What's the status of the military, General?" he said as he glanced over to General Briggs, the current commander of the army. "Mr. President, the army is ready to be deployed. We're going to drop 5,000 men in cargo planes onto Arkhangelsk, and 20,000 more will arrive by boat," said the burly, mustachioed general as he snapped to attention. "Good," said the President. "Where do I sign?"

Victoria, Vancouver Island, Lamerika
"The principles of international revolution are the ones that have guided us." From atop a podium in the Lamerikan Capital of Victoria, President Jameson Taylor spoke into a microphone, to scores of press and civilians alike. Cameras bore into his skin, broadcasting his image across the nation as he delivered an address, "For years, the people of this nation have suffered under the oppressive nature of wage slavery, a system who's pains we all know to well. Unfortunately, this system is one that dominates the globe, which is why protecting our socialist comrades is such an important task, one with potentially dire circumstances. Across this globe, the people of the People's Republic of Kamansk are in the struggle against Capitalism and Fascism, all too similar to our own history. This action cannot be let alone, this action will be responded with in force! Kamansk belongs to the people, now, and forever!"

Off the Coast of Arkhangelsk, Arctic Ocean
Lamerikan Carrier Fleet - First Army

As the sun rose over the frozen waters of the Arctic Ocean, a fleet of Lamerikan Ships came into view over the horizon. With icebreakers paving the way, Lamerikan ships plowed onwards towards the Kamansk coast. In the middle, protected by cruisers, destroyers and frigates was the flagship of the Lamerikan Navy, the LSS Columbia, a Liaoning-Class Aircraft Carrier. It's deck was already a hub of activity, helicopters loading up with troops and jets beginning to fire up their engines. Standing amidst it all was a Lamerikan in his mid forties. He had dark skin and beard, with small flecks of grey beginning to show. He wore a thick winter jacket atop his uniform, holding binoculars up to his face staring out at the shore of Arkhangelsk. His name was Brigadier General Alexander Effimov, commander of the Lamerikan force.

He lowered his binoculars and watched as soldiers marched onto the deck of the Columbia, heading to helicopters which would carry them to the shore of the Democratic Capital of Kamansk. One soldier sprinted towards him, quickly saluting, "Comrade General, sir!"

"Sergeant." General Effimov saluted in turn, "What's the situation?"

"We're ready to mobilize, sir! First wave is standing by to launch on your orders."

"Excellent." The General handed the binoculars to the soldier, clearing his throat and walking towards the soldiers who had gathered around the Cormorant Helicopters. "Comrades!" The soldiers jumped to attention, "We're taking this city today, eh? Who wants to fight?" He was met with a chorus of 'OORAH!' from the soldiers, "I'm only taking the brave, not the scared, no little girls. The men and women in that city have oppressed our comrades of the PRK. No more... No, this land belongs to the people, to the PRK! And we will give it to them. And we start by taking this city!" The men and women of the first army cheered, as the first squadron of fighter jets took off from the deck of the Columbia, "Who are we?" Effimov asked, and the men roared "We the brave, sir!" "I said who are we?" "We the strong, sir!" "I said who the fuck are we?" "We're the PRA!"

"Then let's get this done Comrades!" The General said, and the soldiers ran to their choppers. At the same time, many others got into amphibious landing craft, ready to cross the water and head to the beaches of Arkhangelsk. As they began to cross, fighter jets began to hammer defenses in the city, paving the way for the landing force.

The fleet was in position. They did the usual coastal city siege tactics. Ships surrounded the city, and fired at it. Planes took off and bombed the city. Also, special forces were preparing. Their job was kill all members of the government. Meanwhile, spies within the city have another mission. Their job is to capture the leaders, and then use waterboarding to get them to surrender. The spies and special forces will attack at midnight. Right now, the siege began.

OOC: The above post is a bit godmoddy if you ask me, on account of simply bypassing any naval/air forces the the KDO have - and they do have.

Eight hours prior to Lamerikan Landings...

Panic gripped Arkhangelsk. Suddenly, the optimism of the Imperium arrival, the imminent deployment of various nations and shipping of arms from Goram, had gone. Goramite intelligence, which was supposed to be looking out for precisely this sort of thing, had dropped the ball. A Lamerikan invasion force was steaming towards them, it had come unspotted and was now on their door step. The only reason the rebels had any inkling of their impending doom was that a TU-95 had picked up radar contact whilst on routine patrol. At present speed, the rebels had 8-10 hours to prepare.

The units charged with initially blunting the landing were two Regiments of battle hardened infantry. 1400 men, veterans of the rebellion and many of their officers had defected from the Government. They were experienced, professional troops and they were well armed. Mixed in with the infantry, digging themselves into the rubble of the waterfront, was the 61st Guards Armoured - 28 T-72s, 10 T-84 main battle tanks and assorted self propelled flak guns, all of which had been liberated from Government stocks. They would serve to blunt the landing, and hold them in the hastily prepared killing fields. Directly behind the first line, mortar crews and anti-aircraft crews, with donated Stinger missiles, hid themselves away from prying aerial eyes. Deeper into the city, the few heavy AA units the rebels possessed moved to cover the water front. Five or six hours later, the preparations were made as well as they could be.

The roar of the fighters overhead was terrifying. They screamed across the sky at full reheat, their movements unmistakable as attack profiles. Ropes of flak came up to meet them, and the aircraft danced through the tracer as if it wasn't there. A pencil thin line of grey smoke, tipped with a blinding light roared up from the ground and one of the marauding aircraft turned into a chrysanthemum of flame as a surface to air missile blew it away. Pieces of flaming wreckage tumbled downwards, unnoticed, as flak and missiles continued to duel with the aircraft that had stumbled over their kill zones and were now being made to pay for their arrogance. Yet their bombs had fallen and inflicted some damage on the well dug in infantry defending the water front. But despite the punishment, the defences remained intact.

By now, amphibious landing craft began crawling towards the shoreline. They were not fast, managing only a few knots through the water, but the moved seemingly irresistibly forward. Over head, helicopters moved in support. Artillery tubes in the city belched a welcome to them, greeting the invaders with high explosive ammunition of varying calibres. Direct hits would be hard to come by, but red hot shrapnel from near misses would lance into and possibly through their landing craft, cutting down the men inside. As the range shortened, mortars joined their dull thudding to the constant percussive thumps of the artillery. Yet, the hidden troops held their fire. They waited, holding back their fury for the invaders that came to take their city. 1,000 yards and the spouts of water continued to erupt around the little boats. 500 yards, and still the infantry remained silent.

At 300 yards, it began. A tank officer did it first.

Come on...come on"

The loader muttered to himself. He was almost impatient for the shooting to start.

"What's the matter mate? Got somewhere else to be?"

The gunner asked him. The loader shot back a look that suggested he was less than impressed.

Suddenly, the loader got his wish.

"Loader, target. Classify as...well, fuck knows. Load HE."

The loader turned to the ammunition storage and plucked one of the High Explosive Squash Head rounds out from the wet stowage racks.

"Range to target...400 yards."

The gunner had his eye against the gunsight, his right hand on the turret controls and his left on the trigger. Smoothly the turret swung the long gun onto the target. The loader rammed the round into the breech, and it locked shut with a mechanical hiss.

"Gun loaded!"

he yelled, and the commander reported it over the troop network to their troop commander. The tank fell silent again, as the commander watched the armoured personnel carriers come closer. At 300 yards, the radio crackled.

"B Troop, Troop Command. Open fire."

"Gunner, open fire!"

The tank commander repeated the order.

Almost immediately, the gun crashed back as it send its projectile out 2,100 feet per second. The round flew true, and hit the landing craft head on. The round exploded, blowing the craft and its occupants into oblivion. In that instance, all Hell broke loose as the water front burst into a maelstrom of gun fire. Hidden tanks, machine guns and infantry laid down a punishing fire on their attackers. Lines of smoke linked Stinger crews to exploding helicopters. The kill zone had been hastily prepared, but it was hoped it would do its job...

The Cruxan troops, noting the sudden arrival of the Lamerikans, began to take defensive positions in the city. "NO WAY ARE WE GIVING UP THIS CITY!" the commanders screamed to their men. Snipers stood atop buildings, while regular infantry crouched behind roadblocks and other hasty barriers. Thus, the Cruxans awaited Lamerikan attack. The soldiers suffered minimal losses from the bombardment of the Lamerikan jets, but there were certainly more than one torn to shreds by machine guns.

-NCSU Convoy-

Due to the capitalists in the way, the convoy of trucks filled with supplies stopped in their tracks, and a still, serene, but deadly standoff began. In the truck closest to the front, someone was talking on the radio, and he began beeping his truck. "We got your coordinates via satellite," said a man on the radio, "We got birds in the air, so hang in there!". The man turned the radio off after that, and muttered "Good.".

The standoff continued, and everyone furrowed their eyebrows. The intense staring competition would be disturbed though. As they started the third minute of the standoff, a distant but distinguishable roar was heard in the distance. The roar was growing stronger by the minute, and already, men were covering themselves, and then the planes appeared, dropping their payloads on the capitalists.

That was everything the truck drivers needed, as they smashed the pedal and began to speed up. "Go go go!" shouted the same driver that called for some birds, he was on a road rage, running over any trooper that dared to stand in his truck's way. Overhead, planes began doing bombing runs.

How did the planes get there so quickly? Well, an aircraft carrier ship in the White Sea was there all along, and now the planes on it were being used for good reasons. And speaking of the White Sea and the Arctic Ocean as a whole...

-Off Murmansk-

A few kilometers off Murmansk, there were ship, though technically not ships but naval machines. The composition of the ships were submarines everywhere. After some orders, the submarines then began movement, and their destination, the icy waters of the bay of Arkhangelsk.
