I love it. We played an arrangement of it for part of our show in marching band junior year and it was a blast. It's what got me interested in brass band music -- I ended up doing one of the community's youth brass bands my senior year because of it.
I personally prefer a dominant brass section in a whole symphonic orchestra for the variety in sound, but I do love the all-brass ensemble. Out of curiosity, do you have a favourite brass instrument?

Yeah, but not specifically just piano concertos. Any piano pieces really. I like symphonies too, but piano pieces are special to me, they feel very intimate.
If the organ is the king of instruments, then the piano is the prince.
I have faux nostalgia for the days when the piano was a much more common sight in the home. Of course, my repertoire is more Joplin than Chopin, but any piano piece sounds especially good when playing it yourself.

I was just wondering. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V1dDAs0fZic That is a link to one of my favorite Concertos. It was written by the composer Moritz Moskowski when he was just twenty years old.

I had never heard of him before. Then again, there are so many composers out there.

I think it massively increases the potential for older genres to take hold in the present day, and makes room for a lot of innovation.
On the other hand, I've heard other musicians say that it reduces the amount of talent that goes into music, which they consider a very bad thing. I have a friend who actually considers drum machines unethical, because they put drummers out of a job.
