Large Scale NS World War[Planning, OOC, Sign-Up]

I know people start these types of threads all the time, but I want to do something different as I want to make limited sign-up as in if you want to apart of the War you have to sign-up, but if you want to post as a news organization or post "comments" about the war/events then you can just post freely.

I would have each nation use there NS stats minus 1/3 of what the game says and while I many people don't really use NS stats I will allow them to use whatever stats they have explained in their factbook, but it must be well detailed in order to be accepted.

I would also need Co-Op's to help in the running of this thread which I plan on making a two part thread with two world wars not one after the other, but the second would come some time after the first one ends. I'm thinking that the first one would last three months and then the second one would happen as a direct result of the first four or five real life months after NS World War 1 RP completes.


The story behind why the war started would be using the same history that started the real life world war one just not the tech I will be restricting this to MT, so PMT and FT nations will have to use MT if they want to join.


I also like have some way to tell the passing of time in an RP so I was thinking one day of RL time would be one month of RP time, but if some has a better way to show the passage of time in the RP then I would like to hear about how it works and if it works better then I will use that system.

Well, where I use to come from many nations were basically a GMO Superpower on steroids. So my military factbooks are stacked with military equipment from the east and west, but I just wanted to say that if I am accepted. I won't use my entire military to join this.

As for specific involvement, I may or may not use the Synkom, or a substate, or something else entirely. Might consider sharpening the swords of the Accords here too.

The reason is because NS gameside exaggerates your nation's stats and it's how I see my nation's NS stats except population because I'm an island nation so I'd be overcrowded if I didn't make population realistic so I use the UK's current population for myself

Also I want this RP about an NS World War to effect NS a whole not just the nations taking part in it. So all NS nation that aren't RPing will be neutral which is why I will be allowing other players to post their nation's leaders comments on what's happening during the war and I'll be allowing other player to post "news reports" freely without having to sign up for the RP they would only have to sign up if they wanted to get involved with the fighting. Also there are no nukes they will be talked about, but they will NOT be used in this RP

I want to use a custom map as people will be using their NS nation and stats minus 1/3. I just need someone to make a map based on how people picture their nation mine is an island nation well islands to be exact

Can we not use a fixed map but instead apply this set of categorized, compiled unspoken rules applied in RPs before? It saves the effort and doesn't create god-awful "canon issues", really.

Sadly though, NS isn't as interconnected and globalized as it is RL, because there's selectiveness in interaction between players and a variety of other factors. Quite a few nations have domestic industries enough to relegate the need for trade, because it's quite hard to find an established canon and set of relationships with other nations quickly. It's not likely this war will affect the rest of the world entirely and will probably just be a few big nations throwing off a prank.

We could use that and I want it to be that way, but I know that it won't as long as the nations that are involved imply that the war has effected their nation in the long term as I do want this to be a two part RP with the first part being World War one like and the second being like World War two just with NS nations.

I want the to us the RL history of both world wars edited a little to fit the cannon of the nations involved
