On 9 September 1902, after announcing he would do so on 5 July 1902, Nzard William II signed a document of abdication and officially dissolved the Gandoorese monarchy, which had existed for 299 years. Formal control of all government institutions was transferred to a revolutionary government led by Chiba Masato and the Gandoor Communist Party, who had led the non-violent Gandoor Revolution since 28 July 1900.

1857 - The year that many Randsbeikaner farmers and citizens took up arms against the multiple colonial powers owning the land and it's resources. This spurred a 7-year rebellion with many citizens arming themselves and forming guerrilla militia groups. A notable battle from this war was the Siege of Tynnendorst, in which the small mining town's ~200 inhabitants held the town, aided with a gatling gun, for four days before being overwhelmed.

The continental war from 241-249. Arlenton went to war as an agricultural Republic and came out as an industrialized superpower.

In October 2001, as many as 15,000 people in big cities nationwide attempted to overthrow the government and soon occupied many districts in the cities. The military had to be sent to quash the uprising. Many buildings were destroyed by air strikes conducted by the military. Others were destroyed by the rebels during the overthrow attempt. As many as 3,000 people were killed. The uprising was quashed in 11 days and the rebel leaders executed.

In 1949, a few years after the Great War, Military General William Roosevelt preformed a coup against the Fascist Government, for losing the war and sending young men into battle, known as 'The Commission'. The Commission was established in 1938 after a big hike for the pro-Hitler party. The coup took four months to be successful, with a big fraction down the military. William Roosevelt established an Elected Dictatorship, which was later transformed into a Direct Democracy. Today, the Republic is an official 'Democracy' with an elected government and leader, although there is a dynasty family of 'Noel-LeCease' who rule the Free State Conservative Unionist Party and to win elections they secretly blackmail, bribe and sometimes assassinate opposition members, if they are ahead of them in the polls.

Fourteen years ago the opening ceremony for the recently finished Cathedral of Thesse was attacked by a suicide bomber as a response to the government's policy of outright destroying all pirate ships. Though the blast was contained to the main podium and lectern over 60 high ranking members of the Most Ancient and Noble House of Longweather, the Imperial House, were lost along with a smattering of other nobles from various Houses. Luckily the Emperor was bored during the ceremony and managed to save himself and the then-High Priestess of Thesse (the position has since been elevated to Priestess Supreme with various High Priests/Priestesses underneath her) from the blast. This led to a renewed crackdown on potential terrorist groups, the loss of 43 members in the immediate line of succession (which in itself led to the recall of the Countess Serafina Dawnbringer from her exploratory mission of the sectors around the galactic core and her promotion to Lady Admiral, Archduchess of Longweather, and Crown Princess), and is the day that technically started the Emperor and High Priestess' courtship and subsequent marriage.

Basically, a lot of stuff involving the aristocracy and polices of the government had their origins to that day.

From 1896-1898, the Army of the Unification fought against the draconic, discriminatory United Nationalists, and defeated them, which unified Shanowinn. The Unification is very prominent in Owinn history.

The election of Storna Kelevic as Lord Mayor of Setgavarius in 2275, when clashes between the ruling Progressive Party and opposition Democratic-Republicans were at a peak. Kelevic was a political ingenue and transgender porn star who had ridden her celebrity to power in the election as a Progressive. She then proceeded to inadvertently delay the Colonial Civil War by 19 years by transforming Setgavarius into a federation and providing universal basic income. Unfortunately the UBI caused the collapse of the government's budget in 2290 and was followed by the Progressives repealing it in 2291. Setgavarius would in 2294 fall to the Butlerian Jihad. Kelevic fled to Aspena as a refugee and retired permanently from porn in 2296 to become an administrator of the UCE's refugee programs during the later Civil War.

Ten years ago, in 2006, two members of the Penguin Council, KC (the Kids Cuisine penguin) and Classy Mint (the Penguin Caffeinated Mints logo penguin), were assassinated by a man known as "Ravex" at a meeting with delegates from the People's Republic of Antarctica at a Penguin Liberation Army base on the border between the two nations. One of the Councilpenguins, Tux Linux (now the Chairpenguin) was also injured in the attack.

Following this, the Founder was even arrested for failing to protect the Council, for "treasonous incompetence", for which he was to be tried. However, the charges were dropped after he protected Penguinopolis from an attack by a mysterious enemy.

The incidents caused the joint effort between the PUN and the PROA to build a space base on the moon to be delayed for several years. The base has yet to materialize.

11th september 1944, the liberation is completed, After having landed in Provence in 16th August as part of Dragoon Operation, attached to 1st Free French army. 2nd Free Catalan division led by General Escofet entered Barcelona. The Division had moved south and entered our territory in The 19th getting the outskirts of Perpinyà, which had been evacuated by German forces, the Resistance had taken it. At the 20th the division crossed the Pirinees through Panissars coll and the FCAF moves to Elna Airport. Which had been taken and hold by the 1st independent Para brigade and Linked with the 1st Catalan Free Division that landed in Roses Gulf and the Marine Brigade on the 22nd Girona is Freed. The Collaborationist regime Collapsed and moved their Capital to Lleida. the 25th the 2nd enters Barcelona, the 1st heads to Lleida. Freed the 31st. El Vendrell and Vilafranca the 2nd and the 1st September, Fraga and Balaguer were freed the 1st. Reinforcements from Mallorca landed the 3rd September in Salou Capturing in Reus Airport and Tarragona harbour the Same day. Linking with 2nd division. 2nd Division got the Ebre and crossed it on the 6th and Freed Gandesa on the 7th. Reinforcements more the 1st division advancing from Lleida and Marines advancing from Girona and Vic. Completed the liberation in the 11th when the last main collaborationist Garrisson surrendered in la Seu.

Delvaration of martial law on 17th February 1995, a controversial move made by then-President Dominico Rivento, which led many people to be imprisoned without trial, including members of the Reform Emperyo Party, the predecessor to the Reformist Party, wherein they staged riots in Emperyo then to oppose Rivento's ruthlessness towards conservatism. Martial law was declared due to the Revolution Plaza bombings in Emperyo, aimed to kill members of Rivento's party.

Ever since Rivento was overthrown in 2005, martial law was demonized and the new constitution was made such that suspension of the writ of habeas corpus would only exist for a period not exceeding 7 weeks. To add on, government transparency was a priority to be upheld by governances, something the Capitalist Party used against the Reformist Party during the 2020 Presidential Elections after a majority Senate vote was cast to refuse a trial for alleged rigging of the 2015 senatorial elections.

Later during President Underwood's administration, an independent investigation was made on Rivento's martial law, its effects and its causes. It was shown that the Reform Emperyo Party staged the bombings, along with neo-reactionary elements to "push Rivento to point of establishing an authoritarian government". It was also shown that even moderate conservative parties during Rivento's term aimed to uphold some form of fascism, therefore Rivento cracked down on such parties. The view on the declaration of martial law, therefore, remains controversial to this day, with both parties at fault for perpetrating such an act.

In 1056 A.D. First Divine Queen Sumi, known to Brellachi as 'She Who Was Sent by Her to Save Brellach' and revered as a near-mythical religious icon, brokered the first peace between the tribes and the city-dwellers. This resulted in the signing of The Compact by both parties - a document which is still legally binding today, is credited with cementing a peace that has lasted a millennium, and established the Holy Queendom as it exists today.

2021 CE - Sheikh Togrhril Kazizov is elected as head of the Kurul and Grand Mufti melds both titles together and becomes Grand Leader. Suspends parts of the Constitution to require the seats on the Kurul to be Clerically run by Muslims and Tengrists. Reshapes the Jochizyd State into a Religiously Pluralistic Conservative Clerical Republic.

Just over 18 months after the death of El Caudillo, Francisco Franco, and the restoration of democracy in the county, Romantos votes 3-to-1 in favour of independence from Spain.

We get made fun of by other nations due to our history of famines and call us "hungry, starving people". We had a famine in 1899 and one in 1946. Both affected the entire nation, usually leaving Jovians with no other choice but to start eating insects and potatoes as their only meal (this is why crickets are part of the national cuisine, they started as a survival food, now they're a snack showing Jovian resilience).

Although the effects of the famines were strong, the JSDR has recovered from them. The only effect that this caused is a widespread decline in obesity nationwide and an increase in starvation rates.
