Some important Milestone achieved by CSIR:
1. The Bamboo Breakthrough: Do you know the plant bamboo produce the flower once in the lifetime. But CSIR Scientist proved it wrong, CSIR developed tissue culture technology that made bamboo flowering possible within a week.
2. Safe drinking water: with increase in the water pollution, CSIR develop some safe water techniques like ground water Novel rain water harvesting to remove the bacteria and germs.
3. Amul Milk: We all the slogan "Amul dudh pita hai india"
In India 1960s, some of the baby milk products are imported from outside the India due to lack of cow’s milk and too much fat in buffalo milk.
then CSIR manufactured baby milk food from buffalo milk with less fat.
4. Crop-friendly Pesticides: CSIR helped in the production of new pesticides production at one time with the help of an integrated programme.
5. Cleaning Coal: To improve the quality of coal, csir helped in upgrading over 29 million tons of coal with twenty coal washeries.
