On this day, January 6th, 1800, the first meeting between countries over the state of colonies and imperial ambition, has been called. This session will last for one week, and will be called again on March 6th, 1800 (IC). We wish to invite all alliances, commonwealths, blocks, and sovereign states to discuss or ask important issues that may arise. We also welcome tense debate.

It has come to my attention, that we are creating colonies. From what is in Africa, I would like the Congo area. (Dem Rep and Congo) as my colony. If this is too big or insufficient please say so. I would like this area because of it's wildlife, as there are many beautiful pelts that I could make money off. Also, The Congo river has a lot of fish, which would be very good for my people.

As summoned by the recent communiqué from The Divine Peshawar Lancers of Ukrainian Republics, the celestial nation of The Confederacy of Gadis Manis Dari Kampung presents the following credentials to the assembly of The First Meeting of Абинск:
1. Attending diplomat, the Sultan of Siak Sri Indrapura, Ambassador representing The Confederacy of Gadis Manis Dari Kampung, and Minister Plenipotentiary of the Holy General of the Army and Leader of the Nation, Sudirman.
2. To wit presentation of the proposal to annex the unsettled and unclaimed districts immediately north of, and bordering upon, Claim #100 as shown in Sector 3 of the ASEAN Roleplay Map.
3. Justification of this proposal is that these districts are impoverished, neglected, disease ridden, and uneducated, desperately in need of the enlightened rule of Holy General of the Army and Leader of the Nation, Sudirman. This First Meeting of Абинск must approve the expansion of the Confederacy of Gadis Manis Dari Kampung into these blighted and afflicted districts for the good of the penurious populace.
4. Beseechingly the government of Gadis Manis Dari Kampung appeals to the exalted nations in attendance here at the First Meeting of Абинск to grant this boon to the destitute people residing to the north of our illustrious nation for humanitarian purposes.
5. According an approving vote for the expansion and annexation of these districts is requested.

Ms. Vanteleon states that Velvo collectively wishes to expand further south, gladly and openly will be accepting any native peoples into society. The people of Velvo are confident and safe to say that they have successfully unified the country and are looking into expanding the Kingdom for the greater good of the Kingdom. Newly acquired land shall be automatically be owned by the King, but shall be extremely cheap and of course free for the native populations.
Out Of Character: Realistically, allowing countries to make greater land claims seems fair due to some countries being absolutely gigantic while another is very small, but both have the same number of "areas". Allowing greater land claim can also fill up the map a little more with all the empty space we have (looking over at you, North America, Europe and South Asia.)
Making land claims also helps in having more actions between Role Players in the case where they wish for the same Area/Areas, in which they can settle it diplomatically or go into war over the areas. Land claims will be looked over and compared with the sizes of other nations to restrict them or permit them from having the land, such as the case if someone were to claim all of Africa, for it would be unfair and unrealistic.

I begin today by beseeching the grace of God Almighty and praying that it may rest upon our counsels during this first international meeting in this auspicious year of the new millennium. Our country has recently came into contact with a loose confederation of traditional rulers known by the name 'Sumatra Timur'. We wish to inform this assembly that the Kingdom of Hindia Belanda intends to seek a lasting mutual relationship and establish trade posts within the aforementioned territory, should their native rulers agree. Attending diplomat, the Sultan of Siak Sri Indrapura, Ambassador and Minister Plenipotentiary of the celestial nation of The Confederacy of Gadis Manis Dari Kampung wishes to announce to the assembly of The First Meeting of Абинск the magnificent discoveries and claims recently achieved by the Royal Treasure Fleet of the Holy General of the Army and Leader of the Nation, Sudirman:
1. To wit the Royal Treasure Fleet while sailing northward from Hebei Province in our great and magnificent nation, shown as Claim #100, in Sector 3, of the ASEAN Roleplay Map, did discover and plant the flag along the shore of the Yellow Sea in the lands know by the local native peoples as Liaoning, and within the peninsula know by the natives as Korea, after planting the flag, brave explorers and scholars did proceed into the northern and western districts know as Jilin, Heilongjiang, and the two districts called Inner Mongolia and Outer Mongolia, where the flag was planted again in the name of The Confederacy of Gadis Manis Dari Kampung.
2. Furthermore following the discoveries in Korea, the Royal Treasure Fleet did sail eastward from the Korean coast across the mighty East Sea, called by the savages The Sea of Japan, to the group of Islands called Nihon by the natives and Japan by the explorers of the Royal Treasure Fleet where the flag was again planted.
3. After crossing the East Sea, and reaching Japan, the explorers did proceed to survey and examine the islands of Sakhalin, Honshu, Hokkaido, Kyushu and Shikoku, while again planting the flag upon each island. The Royal Treasure Fleet has established permanent settlements in all of these newly discovered lands. This First Meeting of Абинск must approve the Colonization of the Confederacy of Gadis Manis Dari Kampung into these unsettled lands.
4.
