Does YN have a state religion?
Yes
If so, does your government's laws and legislature rely mostly or entirely on that religion's ideas?
Yes, although it should be noted that the holy scripture advocates for religious freedom.
What is the biggest religion in YN (not including atheism)?
Americanism
Is your populace religious?
Yes, the majority of Americans adhere to either Americanism or Christianity
What is the state of religious freedom in YN?
The holy Constitutionis under Emendatione I forbids discrimination on the basis of religion. As such, any laws that impede the practie of a religion are forbidden. Many people, especially those in the Libertarian sect of Americanism, argue that Emendatione I also forbids the government from establishing a national religion. However, this is counteracted with the popular interpretation that the text solely refers to the legislative body, which is secular already, and the executive body, or Praesidis, is free to establish religions.

Does YN have a state religion?
Technically no. The spiritual practise of ancestor worship is widespread and entwined in Quaegian culture, but few would describe it as a religion in the conventional sense. However, for the sake of this survey it will be treated as such.

If so, does your government's laws and legislature rely mostly or entirely on that religion's ideas?
No, though some political factions would enshrine spiritual practises into government proceedings and legislation.

What is the biggest religion in YN (not including atheism)?
Quaegian Ancestor Worship

Is your populace religious?
Yes, Quaegian culture places a great amount of reverence on spiritual practises.

What is the state of religious freedom in YN?
Open. Quaeg is undergoing a process of opening itself to the world after having been relatively isolated. It welcomes people of all faiths and creeds.

If your majority religion tolerates the concept or idea, answer with O. If not, answer with X. Note that this doesn't apply to the populace as a whole; this only refers to the followers of the biggest religion in YN. Comments welcome.

Men leading in your religion: [O]

Is there any other information needed to be aware?
As mentioned, ancestor worship isn't treated as a religion. There is no specific or particular dogma attached to the practise. Rather, it's about revering and acknowledging the spirits of those who came before us and built the world in which we live as well as the spirits of decendents yet unborn. There are no creation myths or gods attached to the practise and it is not enforced by any central authority but rather is practised within a household to household basis. The practise also deals with concepts such as luck (both good and bad), ideas which are the equivalent of karma, living in opposition and/or harmony with nature and sainthood and martyrdom.
So, this is where I write a signature. I'll replace this with something else later.
Quaeg's just a nation trying to make its way in the world. We're out-of-the-way, pleasant and overthrew the king in a violent revolt. Come and visit, everyone's welcome!
Copy and paste this in your sig if you passed biology and know it's completely irrelevent to your opinions on gender and sex
Just FYI, The flag's a sunset, not a sunrise, and the Quaeg is pronounced Kw-ay-g.

Does YN have a state religion? Yes, the constitution states that "The Catholic Apostolic faith is the religion of the majority of Jaillemen. The State will support and promote its teachings."
If so, does your government's laws and legislature rely mostly or entirely on that religion's ideas? Partly, but freedom of religion is also guaranteed.
What is the biggest religion in YN (not including atheism)? Roman Catholic Christianity
Is your populace religious? 87% identify as Roman Catholic; 2.5% Protestant; 1% other religions; 9.5% not religious
What is the state of religious freedom in YN? It is guaranteed constitutionally.
If your majority religion tolerates the concept or idea, answer with O. If not, answer with X. Note that this doesn't apply to the populace as a whole; this only refers to the followers of the biggest religion in YN. Comments welcome.
Atheism: [O] Not doctrinally tolerated, but so long as atheism is not radical and aggressive, most citizens will tolerate it.

Does YN have a state religion?
No — the Democratic Republic of Loulan is a secular state. Although there are instances of the Loulanese government making nominal references to religion (particularly Buddhism, the most widely practised religion in Loulan), these should be considered wholly ceremonial and not an endorsement of any religious organisation.
If so, does your government's laws and legislature rely mostly or entirely on that religion's ideas?
What is the biggest religion in YN (not including atheism)?
Mahayana Buddhism is the most widely practised religion, with about 65-70% of the population identifying themselves at least somewhat with Mahayana Buddhism, although most people would not describe themselves as "particularly religious".
Is your populace religious?
Hardly at all. Only about 9% of the population regularly attend religious services, the majority who do being from the Muslim minority.
What is the state of religious freedom in YN?
The law affords protection to the officially-sanctioned religions of Buddhism, Taoism, Christianity, and Islam with regard to carrying out "normal religious activities". Proselytizing is only permitted in private settings or within registered houses of worship. Proselytizing in public, in unregistered churches or temples, or by foreigners is prohibited. Folk religions are tolerated as "general cultural practices".
If your majority religion tolerates the concept or idea, answer with O. If not, answer with X. Note that this doesn't apply to the populace as a whole; this only refers to the followers of the biggest religion in YN. Comments welcome.

Is there any other information needed to be aware?
  1. In Buddhism, marriage is not a religious sacrament, but a purely secular affair. This, then, is determined by the cultural values of the Loulanese people and nation.
  2. Buddhism doesn't have single view concerning abortion, although it is generally regarded negatively. Still, it is permissible and even encouraged where carrying a child to term would do more harm than benefit.
