U20 Rugby Cup 1 (Signup Thread) CLOSED

Hello and welcome to the first edition of the U20 Rugby cup. It will be the first rugby edition on NationStates with players under-20 years. The U20 Rugby cup will be held in November. First of all we need a Nation that wants to host the first u20 Rugby cup edition. (Only Nations that have experience with host an event like this will be able to host the U20 Rugby cup)

Signup
The only thing you have to do to signup is post in this thread that you wants to join. Than we put you on the Signups list. If you wants to participate with 2 of your nations please post again that you wants to participate and write ....'Nation name.... wants to participate as puppet of ...Nation name...' If there will be a high number of participants than we have to delete your puppet nation for other major nations.

Scorinating
For the scorinating stuff we can use random.org to draw the groups. The host will scorinate this with its own software (Example: Xkoranate) You can also get RP Bonus. and you can get extra bonus. because after the tournament I create the U20 Rugby cup ranking list (Verry important for the next editions)

Style Modifier
You can choose between 1 - 5 for teams that wants to defense more. For teams that wants to attack more can choose between 5 - 10.

Please only add this if the tournament will start (You can Always change your style modifier after your matches)

Hello and welcome Salborga! I see you are new here. and this is your first event to participate in. So hosting the next edition is currently no option for beginning Nations. Just look around and explore all the sport events here what you like to participate in. Just wait untill you ready for hosting one of those big events. If you have questions please telegram me ore other nations that have a little experience with sports on NationStates. But for now good luck at the U20 Rugby cup!

Salborga U20 Rugby

The Salborgian team is training for the U20 Rugby cup. The team is only focust to the throphy they wants to win every single match. But Salborga is only 1 day old. Salborga has a long way to go. The trainer of the team (Mark Dinggeleberg) says: 'The team needs to be stronger we have players from all over the world but it's not enough' The trainer is only thinking about how the team will be play better. And it's also the first tournament for the Salborgian U20 rugby team. So far a great story but when the story will begin growing? Salborga builts big stadiums but that's cost to mutch money for a Nation so big as Andorra. Salborga has a long way to go. to be better as team and as Nation.

Hi and welcome to NS Sports. I suggest reading the handy guide here, which should help clarify things.
As you are trying to start a rugby tournament, the NS Rugby Discussion Thread should probably be your first stop. They'll give you advice as to wether there is interest in a tournament. Most rugby tournaments here are 7s tourneys, with an alternating Union and League World Cup about once a year, iirc.

It should also be noted that far more important to a host bid than stadiums or pretty pictures is an ability to actually run a tournament. Have a look at some of the host bids on the forum to get an idea of what's involved.

I'd also gently suggest that you refrain from giving advice to other newcomers until you have a similar understanding of how things work around here, and perhaps participate in a few events before creating your own?
