For nearly 600 years, the Commenwealth of Arkandonia has not seen a change in its head of state, a kaiser or kaiseress. The monarchy has survived thanks to its Constitutional state, with legislatorial matters being run by a Parliament, where the people have a say in government. However the current Kaiser, Ferand, has still yet to bring to life a potential heir, and already one attempt has been made on his life.

Now things have again turned drastic, as the Kaiserslautern has fallen drastically ill, sick with malaria after a visit to Singapore, his survival is still uncertain, and as such the question looms like a dark shadow, who will take his place if he does?

General Khime Ghensiser has stepped up and stated that he is worthy of the crown, however, he has been denounced by several royalist as being overly authoritarian in his approach, and that instead the new monarch should be selected by a vote from the nobility, as such would be more democratic and more towards the ways of the Commenwealth. Even with things being kept peaceful tensions run high, especially with both pro-Military and Pro-Royalist demonstrators taking to the streets, the Royal Guard are on high alert, Parliament fearing possible riots should things turn for the worst, but other thank keeping the peace, not intervening in the peaceful demonstrations.

With things at such a high level of tension, violence is a looming threat, and things seem dire for the old Commenwealth, and the fate of the Kaiser may very well decide the future of the Commenwealth for some time to come

With the Kaiser still in critical condition, doctors are racing to save him, however his case of Malaria is particularly severe, and is proving very difficult to combat even with the most advanced of medicines, with several officials and generals, and thousands of people, visiting and praying for his majesty, the pain of the Kaiser has not stopped some from asking for change, though not violently, it is still unsettling that they would do so even as the Kaiser still breathes, a Kaiser who was not well known for being very authoritarian at all, and in fact often left things to parliament.

In particular the loudest voice is the Ardakonian Nationalist Movement, or ANM. The ANM was very unpopular in parliament, as it had been suspected of ordering the murder of several highly respected Jewish ministers, whom had been working at passing new laws to increase funding in welfare and education. Now the ANM had risen back into the limelight, stating that it wished to introduce a nationalist plan of action.

We appreciate the offer of support, but as it is within the best interest of both his majesty and Parliament, we would like to keep the situation under control as much as we can. As we feel that allowing the premature assistance of another nation would simply make the current situation worse, we must kindly refuse the assistance that is offered, we mean no offense and hope that none is taken

With both sides of the peaceful demonstrations under close watch by local law enforcement and Royal Guard officials. Despite this the ANM has started to grow in strength, with several ministers who had previously opposed the party now swearing loyalty to it. While still facing severe resistance from both the Socialist Party and Conservative Party, which have openly denounced the ANM, and the ANM in return has criticized both parties openly for 'oppressing the minority' despite the parliamentary style with which the government is run.

Despite the best efforts of both parliament and Law Enforcement, the peaceful demonstrations have taken a violent turn, with many of the protesters being members of the ANM. The Royal Guard has been deployed in order to help minimize the damage, but already 16 people have been injured and the primary center of the riots, Kinotia, has tall pillars of smoke rising from burning buildings and cars, as the rioters show extreme violence towards government employees and especially against members of the opposing parties.

The Royal Guard however has been able to contain the riots in most areas, with only the area around Kinotia truely becoming heavly damaged by the riots, and no one has been killed, thanks to the quick and careful efforts of the Royal Guard and law enforcement

The Sargeant rode inside a Fuchs 6x6 vehicle, manning the remote station for the deadly MG3 machine gun mounted on top, while they did not wish to use deadly force, they would not hesitate if it were forced upon them.

His uniform is was the dark grey of the guard, meant to show that they were here as protectors. However it made them look very similar to a WW2 German soldier. The Fuchs stopped, a road black obstructing its path, and the driver said "your on foot was from here"
"Affirmative, alright let's go" he grabbed his G36 rifle and exited the armored vehicle, the rifle kept in a ready but nonthreatening position.

They began moving around the rubble of the roadblock when a crowd started coming down the street, clearly very agitated. The Sargeant held up a hand and yelled "hault, in the name of his majesty"

The crowds leader said "we do not head to the wishes of a dying man"
The sargeant and the squads wrapond came up ready to use and he said "haunt, or we shall open fire!"

The crowd kept coming and started throwing things at the squad, the Sargeant then noticed one of them had pulled out a pistol and said "fire"

The sound of loud cracks filled the air, the G36 rifle clattering as the soldiers fired upon the violent crowd. When the shooting stopped, there were 45 people dead and 25 wounded, a M113 had pushed its way through the blockade and began acting as a mobile hospital for the injured

Greetings, Minister Zkiller. The Recon Empire is deeply concerned about the paths taken to secure the monarchy of Arkadonia. Understanding that the Kaiser has no offspring, it is better to seek a peaceful resolution to this matter, and fast. The monarchy should seek the next-in-line for the succession, through the protection and contact of the Kaiser's siblings or uncles.

We are a monarchy ourselves, and it is our duty to protect the succession plan in situations like these.

Should you feel it is required to abolish the monarchy as a result, we feel that it will be a secondary option.

However, it is always wrong to open fire onto your own people when it is the fault of the Government for this lack of oversight.

The Chancellor(Co-Head of Government for military affairs) is notified of this matter and our armed forces will take action should there be no immediate resolution.

After a swift bun fair trial and sentencing, the soldiers responsible have been severely punished for their actions, despite the increase in rioting in Kitonia. The city has been blocked off, in hopes of containing the riots and damage, with the city itself already looking like a war zone. Doctors have managed to stabilize the Kaiser, but he remains in no condition to resume his duties, and it may take months for him to fully recover, and he may experience a resurgence of the disease later in life, requiring a prescription of special malaria pills to help if the disease comes back at a later point

However this has only caused the ANM speak out louder, stating that it's nationalist views are being oppressed by the many, and that they should rule the nation, not the conservative and socialist parties
