[Mikanjima]

In Mikanjima, the following symbols are banned for their extremist, disgusting, subversive, repulsive, evil, bigoted, racist, white supremacist, sexist/misogynist, homophobic, transphobic, Islamophobic, and Nazi/alt-right/fascist connotations:

Any public display of these symbols above are strictly prohibited and punishable by a minimum of 5 years prison sentence or a very heavy fine, depending on the severity and the frequency of usage.

[2nd Brazilian Empire]

The only banned hate symbols are references to comunism and nazism (this includes anthems) .

We won't ban trivial stuff like memes or flags that made part of our history (e.g. 1997 Hammer & Sickle flag; Integralist Movement flag).

Fascists, non-communists, and non-nazis parties flags are completely legal.

None are banned. You can't put them on the property of others who dislike them though.

[Chinese Peoples]

The swastika is not banned in China, since it is an auspicious symbol in Buddhism and a geometric motif often seen in secular settings.

The government, however, will ban symbols offensive to visiting foreign heads of state as the need arises. Moreover, any symbol causing public disorder will be ordered to be removed in any event.

None are banned, for censoring people would make us worse as a nation as a whole.

No symbols are outright banned in Nastrondi-Zaurell but some are cultural taboo and will likely lead to shunning.

[Engleberg]

All symbols associated with communism, including the Red Star and the Sickle and Hammer, are banned. All extremist organizations' symbols are banned, along with "BLM" and LGBT symbols.

[Dytarma]

The cross is referred to as "disgusted." It has been used in Dytarma's past for punishment and torture.

[Praeotoria]

The Praeotorian Constitution states that during Martial Law or destability that a committee can decide whether or not to censor symbols.

[Great Order]

Symbols promoting anarchy are strictly outlawed in Great Order.

[Yorkers]

Nothing is banned, but symbols of Judaism and Roman Catholicism are generally going to irritate Yorkmen.

[Opeleope]

The only "hate symbol" in the nation is the Salvatagardian flag or and Salvatagardian state seals or emblems. If you flew a Salvatagardian flag in Opeleope, it would be like flying a Nazi flag in Israel. You would be killed or arrested. The reason for this is that Salvatagard has been at war with Opeleope for decades, yet hasn't done any meaningful damage other than killing a few thousand soldiers in over 70 years. This has made the nation seem pathetic in the eyes of the average Opeleopan, an inferior breed that should be imprisoned. Basically, Opeleope thinks Salvatagardians are subhuman for failing to do much harm to Opeleope over a 70-year war, with about ten periods of major hostility.

[Thallein]

Thallein doesn't have any restrictions on speech or the display of symbols - it was found that allowing people to say what they wanted without fear of government reprisal made it easier to find people who might do harm to the state or other citizens. Displaying a Swastika on your front door isn't illegal, but you can expect to be under surveillance for the foreseeable future. The same goes for the symbols of radical opposition groups, particularly the Thalian Republican Army and the Republic of Thallein Assembly, both republican groups calling for the abolishing of the monarchy. Every single member of those groups is also a member of the Section 5 Club, a police term for people who are being monitored under section 5 of the Secret Powers Act.

[Frodathiuda]

The only government designated hate symbol is the hammer & sickle. Showing it for non-educational purposes will get you fined £50,000 and a five-year imprisonment.

[Zhouran]

Technically Zhouran does not ban hate symbols since it's ridiculous to get all heated up on a symbol. However, there are symbols that might lead to getting you lynched by angry mobs if displayed publicly.

While most hate symbols are not outlawed, they are heavily discouraged. Here are some symbols socially classified as hate symbols:

1. Swastika [Only the Nazi one. Hindu, Buddhist (especially the Japanese kind) and Jain swastikas are A-OK.]

3. Hammer, Sickle and Paintbrush
4. SS Symbol
5. ISIS Flag (this is among the only ones outlawed)
6. Al-Qaeda Flag (also outlawed)

Surprisingly, none. We even let people fly the nazi flag, although no one does it in fear of the general public.

[Ashkera]

The full list of banned symbols is maintained by the Department of Ideological Management. Most simply result in fines. Banned symbols are generally associated with Communism, Fascism, Anarcho-Capitalism, Agonocracy, or various religions. At this time, the number of banned symbols in general has been significantly reduced, with the exception of the Islamic State of Xawin and the Church of Segmentology.

[Kovruka]

The following is a simplified list of banned "hate" symbols in the Empire:

Satanic or anti-Christian symbols: these symbols reek of corruption and are endorsements towards the Enemy. These are, by far, the most abhorred symbols by kovrukans.

Anarchist or anti-order symbols: any symbol that promotes a rebellious attitude towards authority is despised, for they are supporting a war against peace.

The United States Dollar symbol: this symbol is used as a representation of capitalism, an economic system that promotes division, greediness, ambition and discord.

Symbols that support "any sort of freedom": this includes symbols that promote LGBT rights, supremacy of any race, supremacy of a gender over the other, among others. These symbols are banned because freedom has proven to be toxic for the preservation of peace.

Symbols related to extremist organizations: the main example for these are terrorist organizations symbols.

Symbols related to religions and cults different to New Age Catholicism: this also includes symbols related to certain branches of Christianity, such as Protestantism and Lutheranism.

[Pantopian Empire]

Fascist, Terrorist, or Antisocialist symbols such as swastikas are banned from public use
Both "Black Lives Matter" and "All Lives Matter" are banned as they are agents of division
Racist symbols such as confederate flags are usually banned
Social Justice symbols/ideology is banned due to the prevalent racism/sexism embedded in that movement
The symbols of "Cultural Criminals" such as the Nickelback band logo or posters from the movie "Minions"

In Yannia, no symbols or flags are banned. However, using fascist, terrorist or religious symbols in public is frowned upon.
