English Translation for Ausländern

A delegation of eleven is being sent to the Evenguard of Azura for "Summit Tsyion 2016" in the capital city of the same name. Held every ten years, this is the first one that The Qoryx has decided to attend, stemming from the shift in values at the highest levels of government. Polls showing that the populace was more open to formal, diplomatic relations with foreigners reflected in the policy shifts in the government, culminating in the Emperor's Speech at the start of the year in the imperial parliament.

"The spirit of the people have spoken, as they have done for centuries. I, as their Emperor, represent that spirit, and without question announce that this year shall be the start of a new global presence for The Qoryx. Corporate interests have long been based in the idea that The Qoryx will benefit from a global footprint. Now is the time the people and their government to achieve the same." - an excerpt from the Emperor's Speech, echoed in the cantonal parliament by the imperial chancellor.

The Emperor himself hand-selected from a pool of potential diplomats that both represent Qoryxen values and will look for the most gain from this summit for The Qoryx. As numerous foreign leaders and representatives will be present, it allows The Qoryx to engage in talks with both the Evenguard and the other foreign nations in attendance. Likely to be on the table of any talks would be mutually beneficial trade deals, and possibly financial deals through the accompanying GDFZ representative.

Key things that foreigner experts are saying to watch for are the delegations of the UWO and Mokastana, who currently find themselves at war while attending the summit. The Emperor had previously called for a peaceful resolution to the conflict, which has so far claimed upwards of millions of lives on either side, not including military personnel, and will likely only get worse with the new war in North Panooly against the golden throne. As the golden throne is also sending a delegation, this will make the summit a very tense one, likely a location in which UWO, Mokastana or the golden throne might seek peace.

Lead delegate, the noble Sander of Neuenburg, will likely be promoted to Ambassador to Azura should everything go well with the summit, and has announced that his husband Einar and their son Sven will be joining them. Also in the delegation will be an attaché from the war office, the foreign office, the GDFZ and some security, at the insistence of the Emperor. Noble Sander of Neuenburg is the second son of Archduke Bartholomäus of Neuenburg, the elected ruler of the Neuenburg Canton.

POP-HORTICULTURE:
A TROUBLING TREND
The Trans-Rapaxian Times

(GERMIUM) In May of 1976, King Otiosus completed the Adfaru with the company of the Sheriff of Cristillum and Prince Bonheur as his honored guests. During their stay in the southern coastal principalities, the King attended the Garden of the Purple Petal, undoubtedly a southern classic. However, the King, having already enjoyed the sentiers battus, took the path that Manstead had written so eloquently of his 1955 book of poetry I Gazed on Eternity, which I myself found to be enlightening to the botanical engineering of the 1860s. When the King carried on his Adfaru, there followed a swarm of tourists from all across the nation seeking to follow the King’s new path. In fact, according to the gardeners, out of approximately 11,200 visitors in the month of June, only 200 took the sentiers battus while the majority followed the King. While it hardly the place of academics such as myself to criticize the King’s Adfaru, it does concern me that horticulture is subject to the whims of pop culture.

A study in 2004 at the Public University of Ostrum found that 57% of visitors to a garden from Ostrum followed a path other than the sentiers battus because of some celebrity influence (i.e. films stars, musicians, nobles, or spectators). The trend is bothersome since it was established long ago by Stearns et al that once a commoner visits a garden once, they are not likely to revisit it. This has been confirmed centennially by other seasoned researchers in horticulture, but has not been considered a sign of aesthetic degeneration until now.

My village on the coast of Hyancinth keeps a relatively small garden funded by the Fieflord as a diversion for tourists seeking the beach. It has about a dozen decent courses and, while I had never been, it is locally known as a very well kept garden. Interested in confirming my assertions of progressive pubic viewership, I asked the keeper is he had any data on which paths were walked and he had none. However, when I asked him if the sentiers battus was popular, he quickly responded that no one had walked that particular path for some years. I was shocked and took it upon myself to relive the intended conceptualization of the garden. It was relaxing, slow-paced path that took influences from northern botanical engineers, but reframed for the coastal themes available. At the deepest point, I could even hear the ocean’s soft call. All-in-all, it was a beautifully designed course, which had all but been abandoned by the public’s fascination with finding a better path or perhaps experiencing something unique instead of the “commonplace” sentiers battus.

I think it would do well for us all to remember that the sentiers battus is not merely a path, but the path to be taken. Unless someone gains complete mastery of the traditional elements of horticulture, then they should shy away from grasping at new experiences. I would go so far as to say that the general obsession with the “unique” experience is unhealthy for horticulture in general and should be sharply curtailed both by individuals and garden keepers. Altogether too much freedom has been taken and it cannot be allowed to continue. Deviating from the sentiers battus is, and always will be, a privilege earned by experience and meditation, not a source of cheap thrills.

Elsleben, Alemannia - In the hours of this early morning, over 50,000 intellectuals, teachers, politicians, and military personnel were arrested on the charges of youth corruption, cultural espionage, and high treason against the Islamic Collectivist ideal. These mass arrests come from months of monitoring personnel e-mails, phone calls, text messages, and information given to the Popular Committee of National Unity and Security by informants close to the traitors. Coinciding with the arrests, Popular Chairman of the Commissariat for Upholding National and Spiritual Harmony Þiudimir Arvandussunus has announced a nationwide campaign to "purify the nation of malicious and secular ideologies that threaten the Islamic Collectivist spirit."

Speaking before the the First Citizen and the People's National Commissariat at the semi-annual "Convention of National Philosophy" the Popular Chairman had this to say: "The current generation of politicians, academia, businessmen, officers have forgone the ideals laid out for us our Proclamation of Emancipation of the Worker and Proletariat. Their secular, alien thinking threaten our stable, socialist paradise, They are corrupting our brave, patriotic youth with their malicious and dangerous thinking: be it democratic reforms, incompatible forms of socialism or authoritarian thought, and other malicious forms of free thinking. This cancerous philosophy must of excised from our strong nation before it can metastasise to the more psychological unstable impurities of our society, and like the cancer it is, we are planning on doing just that. The sooner we remove this leech, the better, more prosperous the Alemannic peoples will be."

Later in the press conference, the Popular Chairman expanded on his statements, stating: "we have been blessed by God with the gift of Islamic Collectivism. In recent years we have strayed too far from the manifesto laid out to us by Father of the Nation Teja Vandalariussunus and his fellow Guardians of the Revolution. We have become too focused on materialism and wealth, causing near irreparable rifts in our society. We have come too far to fall to the petty class fighting rampant in the takfiri nations that surround us. It is the duty of the state to bring the people and itself back into the Islamic Collectivist spirit and to purify the nation of ideological drifts."

This is not the first campaign to rid the nation of foreign ideologies and influence. Since the inception of the Social Democratic People's Republic in 1293 A.H (1877 A.D), the nation has gone through three periods of cultural cleansing and ideological rejuvenation, the latest campaign taking place from 1374 - 1377 (1955 - 1957). With the presence of new mediums of communication, primarily social media, it is expected that this campaign may be the most effective in its goals of preserving the cultural and spiritual identity of the Alemannic peoples, and reestablishing the Islamic Collectivist ideals that made Alemannia the natural leaders of the Muslim world and the western continent.

In the coming days, it is expected that the Þiudasheþjo will pass several laws that will lay the framework down for this crusade against takfiri ideology. The bills, devised by the Popular Commissariat for Upholding National and Spiritual Harmony, are expected to improve monitoring means of electronic communication, reevaluate the core curricula for public schools and universities, increased monitoring of all media outlets in Alemannia, and see the destruction and purging of all takfiri, Western, and other foreign influences within the nation, including ancient Alemannic monuments and artefacts that have been deemed "detrimental to the Islamic Collectivist aurora." Additionally, the Young Islamic Guardians of the Red Revolution have been given free reign to assist in the enforcement of these policies and to report any radicalised members of academia to the proper authorities.

"It is our patriotic duty to our great nation to weed out influences that threaten the work our forebears laid out to create this paradise," Erelieva Walliasdauhtar, leader of the Biuzbaurgs State University chapter of the Young Islamic Guardians. "First Citizen Ervigssunus is our commander-in-chief and we are his Red soldiers. The youth are the inheritors of this country, we must do what we must to inherit a rich and pure nation."

Popular Chairman of the Commissariat of National Defence, Gen. Sarus Cyrilassunus, was the first of many to praise Popular Chairman Þiudimir for undertaking the endeavour. Announcing in a press release that all military personnel within both the National People's Army and National People's Navy will undergo screening by regimental political adjutants to ensure ideological purity within the armed forces. Similarly, the Popular Chairman for National Unity and Security made a similar statement, saying that "if our civil defence servants have succumbed to apostasy, then the law and order of our noble republic will unravel."

Due to the nature of their crimes, it is expected that at least 30,000 of the 50,000 arrested will be sentenced to death. The remaining 20,000 will more than likely be sentence to 50 years of manual labour.

First Citizen Ervigssunus, State Chairman Apahidassunus, and Party Chairman Cnivasunus are expected to voice their support for Popular Chairman Arvandussunus's campaign tomorrow morning at 10.00 am.

The Arboria Outbreak - Mystery 6 Months On

Port Arboria - Almost 6 months ago, the tropical territory of Arboria was gripped by panic, as unexplained illness stalked the fields. In the course of two weeks, 68 people were struck down with a mysterious illness. Today, only two survivors remain of this terrible disease, both still in hospital, and crippled for life.

On a warm day in April, like any other here in this oasis of paradise in the Dienstadi tropics, whispers started leaking of a deadly disease, focussed around the plantations and holiday lodges north of Port Arcadia. Starting unremarkably, as a mild and innocent flu-like illness, people walking and talking were found mere hours later by their colleagues fighting for life, their lungs filled with fluid, death following mere hours later

It started suddenly, spreading within days through plantation lodgings and holidaymakers. Within 48 hours, the Colonial Gendarmes had quarantined the hills above Port Arcadia, the militia on standby as the authorities expected an explosion of illness. And yet, the outbreak finished as quickly as it was started. Barring those fighting for their lives in an outbreak hospital quickly opened on the Port outskirts, it seemed as if the disease had gone without a trace.

Whilst the quarantine was lifted in May, people still avoid what is rumoured to be a cursed area. The tourism industry took the largest hit it has seen in decades, travellers fearful to come to what had been one of the most popular destinations in the Three Territories, whilst exports tumbled as plantations affected by the outbreak remain closed, their fields overgrowing as workers fear to return.

And yet, many questions still remain unanswered. The biggest of all is the cause. Labs in Arboria, including a mobile facility set up by the Public Health division of the Colonial Health Authority, drew a blank. With a ban remaining on the export of medical specimens taken from infected patients, it is likely that no answer will be forthcoming soon. Current suggestions from figures including Public Health expert Dr Anhalos, who was at the centre of the outbreak, focus on an as-yet unidentified virus. Whilst outbreaks of tropical disease are not unheard of in Arboria, things have been quiet since the eradication of Malaria in 1963, and an outbreak of Influenza in 1981, with no past cases matching what appears to be a one-off outbreak.

Others have questioned why the outbreak stopped so suddenly. Most sources cite the quick, and firm response of the Colonial Gendarmes, though at the time it was criticised for the level of force used in containing protestors against the quarantine. Indeed, lessons have been learnt by Themisi observers to outbreaks in other Dienstadi countries, and their application may have helped in this instance.

Yet some speculate there was a government cover up. Two competing theories exist - that the disease spread to far more people than the government admits, and that those affected were shot and buried in unmarked graves; or that the disease was purposefully released by the government, in an effort to terrorise those ruled over by an oppressive colonial power. With little grounding in either conspiracy, many officials have ignored these allegations, though they still circulate in some sectors of the press and internet.

With no firm answers, a final question still remains, in the back of many officials' heads: is there another outbreak looming over the horizon?

New Home For Mordent Refugees

CCA - Her Excellency's Morridane Government and the Commonwealth Colonial Authority have announced a large number of refugees from the war-ravaged island of Mordent have been offered places as the first wave of settlers of the planet Hibernia.

The planet, home to an expedition for the last three years, has recently been given the green light for settlement after being reported as 'safe for Human habitation'. It is understood that the initial settlement will be based at the expedition's main base of Fort Dienstad, which is to be renamed 'New Lindun' after the irradiated ruins that once was the Mordentish capital. Various outposts established by the expedition are expected to form the basis of outlaying settlements and townships outside of New Lindun, many of which are expected to be up and running before the second wave of settlers arrive in seven years time.

Hailandkill Senate Ratifies Agreement
for Multi-Trillion Ríokmark Purchase
of Private Security Forces

Hailandkill — In a sign of just how much the times have changed since even a decade ago, Hailandkill's senate agreed to a Ŗ2.4 trillion deal with the Valo'Kap Consortium for the provision of security forces over a four-year contract. This landmark decision is followed by a wave of disagreement throughout the country, as many lament its growing isolation and its trend of demilitarization during troubling times in the region. This disgruntlement comes with an increase in anti-Macabean sentiment, with polls showing that now at least 60 percent of Killians believe that their allies have been shirking on a responsibility that many see as owed to them after Hailandkill had jumped to the Golden Throne's aid during the War of Golden Succession.

Within the next four months, 600,000 contractors from five major Tarn-based private security firms — organized under the new Valo'Kap Consortium — will deploy to Hailandkill in an effort to supplement national security efforts. In the bill passed this morning, it was specified that this force includes heavy armor, fighter aircraft, and even a small navy for coastal defense.

Valo'Kap will be responsible for patrolling and defending the Killian borders and will almost completely replace local military personnel in these tasks. The Killian military — with about 75 percent of Valo'Kap's manpower strength —, now more of a police force than an army capable of defending the country against a contemporary, first-rate aggressor, will be reallocated towards security operations within its borders. This step in the privatization of national security is unprecedented in Greater Díenstad and, unlike with most privatizations, some are left wondering if this was the right choice.

The truth is that the situation represents a significant foreign policy failure by part of the Golden Throne. For the past decade, as the two countries slipped into a deep, synchronized economic depression, it has been the Golden Throne that has accepted the role of the leading partner in one of the region's oldest and strongest military alliances. This included the provision of national security, and indeed if there has been one prevailing force that has guaranteed peace in the country it has been the Golden Throne. But with the war in Gholgoth picking up steam and the heavy fighting in North Panooly, Hailandkill has fallen on the priority scale. Fearing that the Golden Throne would be unable to commit the necessary forces to defend the country in case of an Ordenite invasion, Hailandkill has looked elsewhere and it eventually turned to Tarn, still perhaps the largest exporter of privatized military services in the region.

While the Killian decision also serves as a way of entering the entanglement of regional alliances, their decision to turn to Tarn will come with political repercussions.

Tarn, the city, was occupied by Macabean forces in 2017, as the War of Golden Succession was winding down. It was a move to establish a base of operations in the southern approaches of the core central sector of the region, and it would soon be matched by the imperial occupation and annexation of Theohuanacu. Despite its status as an imperial city, the Tarn defense contractors went, and still go, largely unregulated.

This laissez-faire policy allowed for the flourishing of a gargantuan private military contractor economy. Now the city is dominated by hundreds of private defense agencies, as they refer to themselves, and by thousands of suppliers. For the same reasons that other manufacturers tend to congregate in specific geographic areas[Note 1], a truly astounding number of firms helped to turn a backwater city in a neglected part of the world into a bustling commercial center with a specialization in mercenary services. Around a quarter of the city's GDP is contributed by the agencies themselves, along with multi-national defense manufacturers and military technology firms that supply the industry. Around this industry and the civilian population it employs is a secondary commercial economy, which is also impressively large and prosperous. And the port facilities that were originally built to import equipment and necessities have helped covert Tarn into a shipping center, as well. But, this growth is little more than a source of tax revenue for the Golden Throne now.

Last year, three Tarn-based defense agencies were contracted by Macabean construction giant, Navitek, to invade and occupy the Jumanota Isthmus that juts out of northwestern Holy Panooly. While the Golden Throne saw it as an opportunity to further extend its influence in the area, it did not foresee Tarn Defense Solutions' gamble to assassinate then-dictator Dominic Templeton. The murder precipitated a civil war in the country and, as a means of dealing with the political blowback, the Golden Throne retaliated by arresting the top leadership of the city's largest boy on the block — Tarn Defense Solutions. Since then, relations between the Golden Throne and Tarn have heated up, despite Tarn's status as a special administrative district (kolonia) of the Golden Throne. Its a dynamic that Tarn has largely come out of unscathed, of course.

The Golden Throne has always supported Tarn by recommending their services to friends and allies around the globe. Those referrals have dried since the Templeton-incident. This, coupled with the emergence of new competitors in Nihon, would have been expected to have taken their toll on the central-Greater Díenstadi city. They didn't have the expected results.

Soon after Navitek's invasion of Jumanota, the United World Order — which had coordinated with Navitek, to apply pressure on the Panooly army — decided to invade and annex southern North Panooly (now South Panooly) and Red Star Union, the latter located in the northeastern approaches to central Greater Díenstad. The Ordenites quickly found opponents in Mokastana, who intervened to protect a socialist enclave in northeastern Red Star Union. This unfolding conflict provided quite the opportunity to Tarn-based mercenaries.

Indeed, beyond continued operations in Jumanota, hundreds of thousands of contractors found employment in the battlezones of Red Star Union and in the seas around South Panooly. Indeed, Tarn's special status even made it a lucrative place for foreign agencies to set up shop, including the controversial Eastern Military Deployments of Mokan origins. On the side, many agencies have also set up import-export departments that intermediate between the Fuermak and third-world militaries searching for cheap second-hand equipment. Business is thriving, and many are worried that it will have to be that the Golden Throne concede to the city, something that could severely cripple the balance of power between the empire and its subjects.

This new contract between Valo'Kap and Hailandkill is likely to further raise tensions between the Golden Throne and the city. And it has not gone unconsidered that the Killian decision may hurt relations between the two allies, something that would undermine what was once the strongest bond in the region.

Whatever the diplomatic consequences, the Killians seem largely unconcerned. The contract includes an expansion clause, which promises to double the investment in security services, if the consortium is able to reduce average costs over the next year. This represents a tremendous economic opportunity, and if the firm is able to accomplish the prerequisite criteria then it will be able to further prove the economics behind military privatization.

In today's world of abundant wealth, in a region with dozens of first-rate economies, the purchase of mercenary services on a large scale has become once again possible. It was only in certain ancient kingdoms and middle-age empires that we saw military privatization on such a scale[Note 2], and even then it was of a different nature than today's contractor economy. The demand for Tarn's services, coupled with the intense capitalism of the Golden Throne, has led to a true renaissance for the industry. Modern contractors are often only loosely controlled by their buyers, and for the most part operate with their own leadership structure. That makes them incredibly independent, which shifts the weight of power away from their buyers and onto them. This represents a significant political transformation in the regional economy, one that is spearheaded by the incessant competition and progress of, bust most importantly within, Tarn.

Hailandkill promises to be an important step in this economic and political shift, and already looks to be one of the largest single-contracts the industry has ever received. If all goes right for Valo'Kap, they alone may have 1.2 million contractors deployed to the northern díenstadi nation within the next two years. Depending on the political dynamic with the Ordenites, it may one day be even more than that. But, aside from all this, one wonders if Hailandkill is only the first of many nations to take the private route. And, with companies like Navitek now entering the market, one wonders whether the transformation will continue to take place even without the aid of any government.

Meanwhile, the Tarnish contractors rub their hands in anticipation.

BENEVOLENCIA, C.D., UNITED PALMYRIAN FEDERATION - A number of left-wing politicians suspected to have ties with the New Socialist People's Party, the political arm of the now-defeated Ultranationalist Army of Palmyria have been arrested for accusations of sedition and miscellaneous acts of treason.

"Their ties to the political arm of a now-defeated rebel faction make them decently dangerous. The blue-ribbon committee assigned to investigate the possible links of left-wing politicians in the United Federation to the Ultranationalist Army of Palmyria have all the evidences that could convict them beyond reasonable doubt of sedition and treason by supporting the rebels both in money and in kind." a senator of the Protectorate of Palawan, Gideon Jusa, said in a press conference.

The politicians, according to a nearly 1,000+-page report released by the blue-ribbon committee, have been found to supply the rebels via money laundering with funds sourced from embezzled funds that were originally intended for use in the localities of every Senator. These embezzled funds were deposited to seemingly legitimate accounts that claimed to be owned by humanitarian groups or pro-loyalist forces in Ultranationalist-occupied Palmyrion. In addition some of these politicians have been accused of allowing smuggled and unregistered guns to flow into northern Palmyrion, where it would fall into rebel hands; these guns were delivered to seemingly legitimate entities (ex. the "Loyalist Resistance Front", a paramilitary group claiming to aid the loyalist government in its campaign against the Ultranationalist Army) and into legitimate places, in a process considered to be a "ripoff in kind" of money laundering, and named "weapon laundering" by the Senate blue-ribbon committee.

In addition the Cybercrime Division of the Federal Investigative Services discovered several BitCoin accounts allegedly owned by these politicians, and from this came international funding for the Ultranationalist Army. These BitCoin accounts are named to look legitimate, and are just one of the components of a large money laundering scheme that the Senate blue-ribbon committee just unearthed.

"How come this slipped through our hands? Well, it did not. The senate's blue-ribbon committee had already known this since it was created, even on the start of the previous president's term, and the first accusations began, tempering the flares between the government and left-wing groups; these flares reached a peak when Palmyrion intervened in the Halfblakistani Civil War." President Defensor said during a televised speech.

Supplying rebel groups in any manner is an act of treachery under the Penal Code of the United Federation. Being accused of such a crime carries the sentence of death by lethal injection.

International Partnership on the Way: Junta Mulls Observer Status of The Western Pact

KUT-KUZYA - Haize Information and Relations Services (HIRSR) have disclosed that the Junta have petitioned for Observer status in newly founded The Western Pact. According to known information of the Pact's Charter, it is intended as inter-governmental framework for Western Dienstadi States in regards of economic, public and security policies.

The Junta interest to the Pact could be conveyed by its present participation of international organizations that are orientated toward economic prosperity; Global Aerospace Trade Association and Eastern Dienstadi Trade Organization. During a Federal assault on a former Castillian military supply depot, Federal Forces found an underground bunker believed to be a former bio weapons lab for the old Castillian National Socialist State. Inside Federal Forces found documents detailing various methods of dispersal and deployment of biological and chemical weapons.

One such document proposed using drone technology to air disperse biological agents on heavy population centers, similar to the unusual drone activity spotted over refugee camps outside of New Impen[Red Star Union] two years ago during the Ordernite siege. These documents included photographs of drone set ups that matched witness testimony from the Refugee Camps. While no working models were found at the site, drone attachments that could carry and deploy agents were. Drones capable of using these devices have been captured at Castillian air bases throughout the country.

Perhaps worst of all, Federal CRBN units found live corpses in prison cells that tested positive for Varathon Blood Fever and other pathogens. Many in storage on site. It is believed that many of these prisoners were Castleclosian dissenters or other ‘non-desirables’ and were used to test the effects of the agents in this laboratory.

For operational security, Juventud Island has not released the location this Laboratory was found, nor the date it was found on. Though the National Socialist State has collapsed, the People's Unified Federation will continue to fight to secure the nation and restore peace.

Homofront supporters quelled by female riot police

ILYANOGRAD - Supporters of the dubbed "anti-patriarchal" group "Homofront for Quirina" Movement were successfully dispersed by the Ilyanograd City Constable Department's Riot and Protest Women's Division, after altercations began to be exchanged from a verbal start, that ended in a violent quelling, having hundred arrested for destruction of private and public property. Various groups in Srbislava gave their take about this supposed 'eminence of democracy' in their country.

It was at the Plaza Central Slava, 3:21 PM, the protest of the "Homofront for Quirina" began and a large platform was set up to have their leaders speak about their grievances against the "statist, capitalist, and pro-male" leadership of their President Bojan Pajtic and his government agencies, saying that "the government does not allow the freedom of assembly for Homofront to be included as bastion for civil rights and supremacy of the LGBT universality." At 5:09 PM, members of the Women's Riot Division organized and marched in formation to corner the protesters. Several footages suggest that the LGBT-supporting group started being violent by throwing a tear gas initiated by a man wearing a black hoodie and red bandana covering his face. From there, the women riot police formation broke out, vehemently chasing the cowardly protesters and beat them with batons and shields.

With the arrest of 1,295 protesters, this was the largest for this year, as the Srbislavnik State Constabulary. About 3,204 were wounded, with only three female police getting badly injured.

Many groups both supported and opposed this event, as the President himself did not gave any comment. However, the State Commissariat reiterated their stance that "Homofront has no place for democracy, nor democracy does not see itself named with Homofront". The international ire presented by Homofront was enough, with the terrorist activities they are conducting, as this was the opinion of most political analysts in Quirina, including the USVX professor Steve Chersbourg, quoting that "Homofront and their allies of the left do not seek harmony, but only a lasting liberal utopia of chaos and misery, as seen to their index of activities, and only in Quirina, especially in a Slavic-cultured nation of Srbislava, do they fail." Meanwhile, bloggers' posts swearing against the government for their "inability to free thought" were present and had a hit for teens and pre-adults. The State Commissariat is, however, open to receive any comments about these, and "surely will the reply."

In a stunning and landmark move, during the Senate's latest session, the influential, controversial and important Soldiers of Peace Act was repealed. The Soldier of Peace Act was a law that forbade the hiring out of the Timocratic Republic's military to foreign powers. Such tradition was started by President General Patrick O'Conner. He claimed it was for the betterment of the Merican people and would provide steady income for the country, which could then be used to help rebuild the, at the time, shattered nation and help keep the tax burden down. Unfortunately, this was later cited by a group of Senators, self titled the Peacekeepers, as a big contributor to the infamous Rebellion, which itself led to wide more wide spread destruction and death which outmatched the previous Civil War. The Senate barely repealed the act, getting the requisite, three quarters majority vote only by the slimmest of margins.

The repealing of the Act has been supported by such notable figures as the current President General Marai Overhill. She is quoted as saying "We need this. We have a massive and crack military force that is just sitting still and doing nothing but training. They are losing there edge. In addition, the money from contract will help relieve tax burdens." The current Head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Marine General George Mattis said much the same thing though far more colorfully than can be printed. Senator MacArthur was joyous at this, he himself having led the campaign to have the Soldier of Peace Act repealed, said "It is time for us to do what we do best. We are warrior at heart and battle calls us, such is it time for us to return to the field. And while we are at it, we might as well get paid well of it." upon which he was greeted with a rousing cheers from the crowd gathered to hear his statement. Secretary of State Shannon Meek made a short statement as well "This is great news. The world is full of chaos and anarchy and it is everyone persons civic duty to try and bring a little more order and safety to it. It is our duty to help with this endeavor. Now we can go forth boldly again, and fight the good fight."

Though all do not agree with these sentiments. Protest broke out at some of the colleges, with students unhappy at this new development. Signs declaring such sentiments as "No blood for money" and "We should just stay home". Senators from the Peacekeeper faction were unavailable for comment.

Sources within the military have suggested that a reorganization is in order as what units are available for hire are decided upon. Originally, only Army and Air Force units were available for hire while Marine Assault Corp units were kept in reserve and not hired out, the Corps long considered the true protector of the republic and its people. Rumors have it that Special Operation and certain naval units will we available for contract but this is unconfirmed at this time.

People's Unified Federation — Celebrations have begun in the streets of downtown Santa Franco, the traditional capital of Tatom, as the ballots continue to come in. Though only about half of the ballots have been counted in the Province of California so far, most of the voters have said yes to the New Constitution. Approval currently leads with an almost a two to one approval rate.

The celebrations truly took off when Governor Ramirez of Arizona formally declared his province had approved the new Constitution, with over eight million ballots in favor compared to three opposed of the expected 16 million. Even if the rest were against the Constitution, the measure would still have passed. Here in California, most are optimistic that the measure is going to pass and the number of traditional Tatom Flags in the air swells with each passing minute.

One must ask, what will the effects of this decision be, and the short answer is: Nothing yet. Assuming both Provinces vote in favor, they will still need to gain independence from the Republic of Mejico, which although Mejican parliament voted to allow, the Dissolution was vetoed by President Diego. Official opinions, from both the Succession Leaders and the Mejican Government, are to maintain the current relationship until the current war with the fascists is over.

However, this Constitution does paint a picture of what Tatom will eventually look like. For example, the two Provinces, California and Arizona, will be broken down into their original five “states” with California becoming Alta California, California, Alta Isla, and Hierro Isla. While Arizona remains one "state". These five states will have their own three branch government similar to other Federal Republics: an Executive Branch, a single House Parliament based on population, and a Supreme Court Details as to what kind of policies this new government will enact are still in the air, as individual local elections take place.

If there is a key topic of discussion for the new elections, it will be whether to stay in the People's Unified Federation as a member State, or become a completely independent Nation, free from the PUF entirely. If the new government does go the way of complete independence, it is expected to affect GATA and the CCA significantly. This is because the largest Low Orbit Trade Port in the Federation, and Federal CCA Command, are both located outside of Rosewell, in the Province of Arizona. Perhaps an Independent Tatom will join one or both of the Space Agreements, but it is far too early to tell what may or may not happen with either.

Special Visit from an Adventurous Emperor

In a surprise move the ruler of the Macabees, Emperor Fedor, the man who sits upon the Golden Throne, is coming for a visit to our republic. But, Emperor Fedor is not here for a state visit, or to form a treaty, or any other kind of diplomatic move. No, he is here on a hunting trip. Emperor Fedor was excited upon hearing about the many dangerous creatures to be found in our nation and decided to visit and hunt some of them himself.

The Brethren of the Hunt have agreed to help him in his endeavor along side the Wardens. The Wardens, for those unfamiliar, are an old branch of law enforcement dating back at least 200 years. They are know for being masters of the Merican wilderness and tracking anything through its vast reaches. From saving lost hikers in the Rockies, to tracking criminals through the swamps and bogs of the lowlands to breaching and clearing buildings. The Wardens can and will do it all. While the Brethren are an old organization they are intensely private group composed of the best hunters on land and sea in the nation. They are known for there many skills from riding and training the wargs to tracking and slaying the most dangerous beasts to everything in between.

An official statement from the Brethren of the Hunt said "We are glad to share our lands bounty with someone from faraway. We will gladly aid him in his desires to hunt the beasts of our land and teach him the techniques necessary to bring down these beast without suffering major bodily harm or even death." Chief Warden Dillon commented, reluctantly, "We are happy to help a forgien dignitary in exploring our great nation. The land is beautiful, though harsh and unforgiving to anyone not careful. Our Wardens are some of the best woodsman and guides for the wilds. They know the land like the back of their hands. I have complete faith and confidences in my Wardens to ensure Emperor Fedor safety during his adventures in the wilds of our great nation."

Since Fedor's ascension to the throne, his penchant for the extreme has been well known. Indeed, from jagurat — mountain like-felines typically weighing between 90 and 150 kilograms — hunting in Indras to spear-wielding exploits against the Mokan jaguar, Fedor has sought the thrill of the most dangerous hunts throughout Greater Dienstad. Last year, the Macabean emperor celebrated the annexation of Zarbia by departing on a five-day trip through the country's beast-ridden jungles. He erected a triumphal column in Santiago, the territory's new capital, to commemorate the event. Can the man's ego truly be that big?

The truth is, Fedor has a long history of building monuments to spread his legend. He built a mammoth triumphal arch in Fedala to seal his victory in the War of Golden Succession and the annexation of the Havenic borderlands. Targul Frumos, the site of one of the war's largest naval sieges, has an arch of its own to celebrate the Empire's victory there. Similarly, Hoogensbosch in Guffingford too sports a new triumphal arch, this one depicting the conquest of Theohuanacu — a war that saw the use of hundreds of thousands of Guffingfordi auxiliaries. To Fedor, they serve a clear purpose: propaganda. By sharing the glory of the Empire's achievements, the Macabean Emperor seeks to cultivate a trans-territorial culture built around the exploits of the Empire's people. And by depicting himself as a war leader and a master hunter, Fedor has built an awe-inspiring image of himself.

It's natural, then, that he chooses to visit the Republic. With our share of extraordinary creatures, we are too savory of an opportunity to pass up. This even while he fights a desperate war in Holy Panooly and a megalomaniacal conflict in Gholgoth. His thirst for adventure is unquestionable and despite the undeniable political motivations behind his seemingly erratic behavior, there must also be an element of enjoyment for Fedor. Certainly, he is not known for his timidity or for an unwillingness to take risk. But, his trip here may prove more than a challenge that what even he is used to.

During Emperor Fedor up coming visit and subsequent hunt, he plans pursue the most dangerous of creatures in the land. This includes the wild warg and drakon on the land, the wyrens in the sky, and finally the kraken, megalodons and the leviathans in the seas. The wild wargs strike fear in everyone's hearts, these horse sized wolves travel in small packs and are incredibly clever and dangerous only matched by the fearsome drakon. The drakons resemble a cross between a mountain loin and an crocodile with near-bulletproof skin, vulnerable in only a few places. A saying about these beast is "Only two types of people chase the drake, the truly good or the truly desperate."
In the skies, the loud and dangerous, wyern. Closely related to the drakon, these creatures can grow to the size of a small plane. With there leathery skin and wings the hunting screech still terrifies people today, though thankfully they are confined to the Misty Mountains and the park there, the area heavily patrolled by Wardens.
Emperor Fedor even wishes to hunt the megalodons of the seas, the fearsome giant sharks that prey on whales. And the kraken, which is best described by a whaler as a "giant squid on steroids with a massive tooth ache and taste for anything that moves." Due to the dangers of these species both have been hunted extensively, with bounties on on there capture for those killed outside certain area. Both species have been confided to the waters of the Blood Sea just north of the port of Savannah and the deep oceans the water around the port patrolled heavily, constantly on the look out for these dangerous creatures, but the most fearsome of the all is the legendary Leviathan.

RANGERS CALLED IN AS TERROR GRIPS CAPITAL!

MORRDUN.- The Lord Provost of Morrdun, Sir Thomas Reid, has made a request to the Home Office for the intervention of the Morridane Rangers to help bring the notorious Aldwell Ripper to justice.

Despite a massive undertaking by the Morrdun Metropolitan Police, the Ripper has managed to evade the authorities and continue his bloody reign of terror in the impoverished Aldwell district. The district lies in the south-eastern corner of Morrdun, forming the western boundary of the Rudshore district and covers about a mile or so of industrial waterfront along the south bank of the River Morr. Factories and warehouses gives way to tenant blocks and terrace houses sandwiched between Rudshore to the east and the Aldbrook to the west as the district runs south to its neighbour of Welgate. It is a rough area, though the Ripper killings have seem to have tamed the district as the night-time streets of Aldwell are now eerily quiet aside from the occasional police patrol car.

Since the Ripper started his bloody work almost eight months ago, it is believed that at least twelve women have fallen victim to this crazed killer. Though its suspected that the total bodycount may be much higher, the Metropolitan Police has denied connections to other murders in Morrdun in recent years. Despite the police's best efforts they are no closer to catching the Ripper and reportedly haven't even got any suspects. In response the Lord Provost has requested that the Morridane Rangers, a federal law enforcement agency, takeover the investigation. The involvement of the Rangers has led to the resigning of Detective Chief Superintendent Vincent Warren, head of the Metropolitan Police's Criminal Investigation Department, a formal protest lodged by Commissioner Sir Charles Mayne of the Metropolitan Police.

Richard Clarke, the Home Secretary, has declined to comment on whether he'll intervene in the matter.

UPDATE: The Integrated State Defense Force of the Commonwealth of Domare (ISDF-CD) formally announces its full readiness after newer military assets had been completed of deliveries to Roma, Napoli, Valletta and Brindisi. There were 32 million tons ranging from ammunition, and small arms, to newly-procured ships and aircraft, ready for deployment. Liberation of Castleclose! First free elections in the Country since occupation!

Under PUF leadership, the liberated territory in Castleclose held the first free elections among its territories since occupation by the National Socialist State.
While these elected positions are currently only for an interm government, these representatives will meet in Clasdon to create a new constitution for the revived nation. Two representatives from each military districts were selected by their peers to represent them in the Constitutional conference and first Congress of the new Republic.

While a few local and provincial governments have been restored, these do not always line up with Military District controls, thus the decision was made to use districts as the base of the elections since military districts have more uniform control of the country. In addition, unlike province or City borders, the Military districts are cut based on population.

These Military Districts have been key in maintaining and sustaining the local populations via food, water and recovery projects. Such projects have included rebuilding infrastructure, starting up farm land or opening factories for much needed goods like clothing or canned foods. Some are occasionally redrawn to match up as closely as possible with provincial boundaries when a local government is restored, but this is not always the case.

It is believed that with a new central government in power, the restoration of local and province level governments can begin at a much faster rate than the current one, and recovery efforts can be handed over to local civilian authorities.

Federally controlled Istegium Territory may become independent

A motion was passed in the Colonial Government of Federal Istegium, located in Canin Point, requesting a vote for independence. This motion, which was brought before the Colonial Government by a group of citizens, was in the form of a petition with over 100,000 signatures on it.

Though not a significant size of the population, Colonial law allows a petition of 100,000 signatures to be brought before the Governor and sent to local parliament for review. After a two day long demonstration in Canin Point, the petition was ratified into a motion before the Colonial Government, and was passed. Governor Tracy Dumont will be organizing a colonial wide vote for an undetermined date.

If the colony chose to go independent, it would become the second independent state on the peninsula, but would lose its military and financial aid from the People's Unified Federation. Given the already heavy influence from Mokastana and other Federal territories, as well as minor Haize and Coltarin influences, it is hard to determine the exact fate of Federal Istegium at this time. Public opinion polls and advertising campaigns have only begun when the government made the announcement the vote will take place.

Morrdh To Step Back!

CCA.- Morridane Prime Minister Edmund Vermillion has announced that Morrdh will reduce its involvement in the Commonwealth Colonial Authority in an attempt to encourage other CCA members to take on greater roles in the interstellar organisation.

The PM cited that he wished to see the CCA Colonies themselves, a number of whom are now Top Tier members, have a bigger say on the CCA's direction and a more active role in the organisation's governing body known as the Steering Committee. It is understood that there will be less Morridane candidates fielded for key positions within the CCA in favour of more Colonial candidates, though the PM was keen to stress that Morrdh was still fully committed to the organisation. Vermillion also announced some changes that he wished to see made to the CCA.

A major change that the PM wants to be made is to the CCA's membership structure, namely to the Tiers and to make it their positions much more clearer. Vermillion's proposal is detailed below;

*Top Tier:- Full CCA membership, able to submit proposals via the Steering Committee but requires heavy investment and a willingness to commit resources to group activity.

*Second Tier:- Partial membership, requires sponsorship from a Top Tier member to submit proposals but can still vote on them. Less commitment required but balanced out by access to fewer benefits.

*Third Tier:- Effectively observer status, can attend meetings of the Steering Committee but not able to vote on proposals. Involvement in the CCA is on a case-by-case basis subject to agreement between all parties.

Other changes that the Morridane PM was proposed include renaming organisations such as the Royal Space Force, Royal Space Marines and the Royal Reconnaissance Service by replacing 'Royal' with 'Commonwealth' instead. The adoption of the Commonwealth Space Forces name is currently under review and will be voted on early next year.

Ever heard of automated killer robots that can dispose bad guys without feeling any pain or fear? Now such fiction will rapidly become a reality in Haishan where robot systems will work side by side with ordinary troops, to augment and support fire mission that would otherwise cost untold damages to the nation.

Breaking the news was Tachi-Korov, official Defense Ministry spokesperson that told Defence.net in simple terms, "Yes, we are looking for unmanned combat systems. We cannot survive in war of attrition and robots provide the means to delay that onset." In other words, the Haize Armed Forces acknowledged the Services will and must use robotic systems as soon as possible.

The equations are rather lucrative; while the initial investment carries a hefty price tag, a robot wouldn't get sick, feel pain or fatigue compared to men in uniform. That translates to immediate benefits to the Haize Armed Forces that's strapped for personnel as the Services found it difficult to match manpower numbers with surrounding States.

Alternatively, it also means that Haize troops can be less worried whether they will be cut off or unable to respond to an incursion as robotic systems can easily take over dull and dangerous missions such as battlefield reconnaissance. While untold, the rest of the Services did unofficially look for robotic systems and it's just now that the Ministry have officially sanctioned the budgets to do so.

It's expected that the major user of robotic systems in Haishan will be the Army and Aerospace Defense Forces as they are tasked to guard large expanses of the Nation with few personnel. Haize Navy on the other hand have expressed interest into development of unmanned diving systems to further support its operations.

However most of the systems are under wraps as they are undergoing intensive development and, according to trends behind Defense Ministry, we may never know such systems at all. Nevertheless, it would be an interesting future and prospect for the Armed Forces.

The Ordenite Labour Front has announced that in the course of 2016, the Reich labor service was able to construct and pave over 2,000 kilometers of road and highway that was added on to the already expansive Autobahn that to this day is a crucial part of transportation and industry to the Ordenite nation. Furthermore coming from Reich minister of Agriculture and Nutrition, Opdenhoff announced that the yields of grain and vegetables grew in the past year by 48.3% which is a great improvement to previous yields of past years and shows the expertise and will of our farmers who cultivate our lands in order for the Ordenite nation to eat without fear of starvation or shortage. It has also become very much apparent to all living in our great Ordenite nation that we are in perilous times with our Reich in a war time setting due to events occuring abroad in the greater Dienstad region, our brave Wehrmacht fight countless battles against enemies of our great nation and community, these enemies are many and they wish nothing more then the collapse of our way of life, to rid our nation of national socialism. Crime Rates May Call for Federal Measures

CONCORD - Rising crime rates are being reported in all six Commonwealths for the sixth straight week, as a crime wave seems to be sweeping across the nation. An especially large spike in carjackings have many drivers on edge during their morning commute. Across the board there seems to be indicators of rising levels of violent crime which is leaving criminal justice officials baffled.

"I'm not sure what's causing this especially large spike" remarked Police Constable Alfred Trober, head of the Greentown Police Department. Officials are pointing to recently lowering rates of federal and Commonwealth police funding as a primary concern about combating this crime wave.

This has prompted response from federal officials, including many prominent Assemblymen, such as Benjamin Greg (Cheshire) who said, "It will be my mission to ensure that our peace officers are receiving the funding they need. Government must do its just diligence to ensure our citizens' safety." Other federal officials are not convinced, and there is a small caucus in the Congress of Citizens which is opposed to spiking federal law enforcement funding. A spokesman for Assemblywoman Heather Vickie told The Elliston Times, "While Assemblywoman Vickie is not expressly opposed to increased federal involvement, she as well as several other legislators would be inclined to use caution before apportioning federal funding."

Officials from the Department of Law and Justice have expressed interest in using federal manpower, mainly the Marshal Service in combating this rising crime stem in some of the harder-hit Commonwealths like Grafton and Cheshire. The two Commonwealth's Federal Councilors have expressed support for the Department to use the Marshals in conjunction with Commonwealth and local law enforcement.

In crime-related news, the Superior Court is due to weigh in with a decision later this week on what could be the landmark Benson v. Aurensia case. While capital punishment has been upheld by nearly every Commonwealth Supreme Court, the federal government has remained silent on the matter for federal issues.

There have been no executions to date at the federal level despite homicide and sexual assault having these punishments available. No crime has been prosecuted by the federal government since the Interstate Fraud Ring of 2004 where the 11 defendants were ordered by the 9th District Court to pay restitution to their victims.

The decision is likely going to be a close one. Justice William Ontario has stated his personal belief that execution violates the principles of just government and specifically violates Right of Man VII and the Justice Clause of the Federal Constitution. He's written several theses on the topic in the past saying, "A government's just duty is to offer protection of the individual from those who would infringe upon him. A government is an institution which must dedicate itself to the prospect of justice and reason. Reason demands acquaintance and consideration of all the facts, including new ones. An execution cannot be undone."
