Kerbin In Jeopardy

This is the RP thread for the Kerbin region. If you would like to join, please do so here!

Note that old posts are not necessarily consistent with modern RP canon. They can be used as an inspiration or guide for post formatting and standards. However, please check around first in regards to recent events.

Rules:

1. Rules are law. Any and all posts and nations which do not comply will be removed.
2. Out-of-character discussion should take place in the RMB or through telegrams.
3. No one liners, in general you are expected to have at the very least a paragraph for each post.
4. Always remember to follow good RP etiquette.
5. Kerbin is MT. The only technologies that are allowed are those which exist in the real world, or that can be achieved reasonably within stock KSP which is also financially possible for your nation.
6. Respect your fellow Roleplayers; you are all just trying to have fun here!
7. All posts, like wars or invasions, must be discussed with all parties involved. If it is not, it will be removed as per rule #1.
7.5 Some actions can cause very large scale and long term effects on many people in the RP not directly involved in any particular action, and may permanently damage their ability to RP (Ex. Some kinds of chemical or nuclear attack). You must consider ALL of those who may be impacted like this by any of your actions, and include them in your discussion of all involved parties.
8. No biological weaponry is allowed.
9. No Nationstates stats are allowed.
10. If you are under the belief that you have access to a nuke, or should have access to a nuke, you must contact me. Otherwise, you do not.
11. All old canon from any of the three previous incarnations of Kerbin, or any other alternative branch-off Kerbin, are not canon here; A new canon starts now!
12. This is not to be confused with a Fall of Kerbin type RP; battles are fought with posts, and the outcomes are determined by agreement and not in-game victories.
13. This is not a Discord RP. Events occur in the thread. You may not act out events in Discord or any other outside platform and then copy or summarize into the thread.
14. This is a serious RP. If your nation, or your posts, are not serious, you will be immediately removed from the RP.

Grand Chairman's Office, Grand Council, New Kovtski City, Blorbs

Grand Chairman Valcella gazed out the window onto the night cityscape. Kerbol just about to duck below the horizon painted a faint lavender glow on the west faces of the many glass skyscrapers and structures in the ever sky-reaching city. She thought fondly of being a child, as the first Blorbik revolutionaries were making their stand. Everyone thought that the rest of the world would topple over to the theories of communism and socialism before the end of the century with lots of time to spare.

This would not be the case. As it stood now, Blorbs was left without strong allies in the world. There were friendly nations, and nations to which Blorbs was not considered a threat, but it was still left somewhat on its own in the world.

But, maybe, there could be some hope.

Port Of Hokido, Hokido, Hokubuhon
Crowds gathered waving the national flag of Hokubuhon across the sky, the crowd then roared into cheering and applause when the Emperor Daisuke went on stage. Behind him was the new pride of the navy, The medium carrier ENS Hokido. After sea trials, the ship was to be commissioned today. After a lengthy speech, Daisuke took a jar of the blood of previous emperors and covered part of his finger in it and then proceeding to wipe it onto the ship officially giving his blessing and commissioning the ship. The crowd began to cheer again as the national anthem played on speakers.

The Emperor's Palace, Forbidden City, Hokubuhon
1 day later, the emperor was finishing up a letter to send to the Yinshanese Emperor Tianlong requesting to begin talks of an alliance between the two Oriental Countries. after sending the letter, the military advisor came in handing him two papers for projects needing final approval. The first one read "Project Genesis" which was a project to begin heavy study into the evolution and origin of life on Kerbin and he signed it. The Second Paper read "Project Sodom" which was something terrible and destructive but still necessary. After a slight hesitation, he signed the paper and approved the project's continuation.

Dmitri wrapped his coat tighter. Snow had begun to drift down, and he needed to catch the train. He stopped for a moment, feeling a moment of unease as if someone was watching him. The wind began to pick up, and a sudden chill reminded him of his deadline. He gripped his briefcase tightly, and continued. These weren't the days of Medvedev, after all. He arrived at the train station to find it packed. He shook his head in disappointment, and then pushed his way in to get his ticket. After the acquisition, he waited outside. He looked up at the sky, grey and colourless. To think, that it all could have been ended in an instant at least a dozen times in the past 30 years. But that was over now, and the sincere threat of a nuclear exchange had shifted to the periphery. He sighed, and heard the train in the distance. The other players in Gröžnik, politicians, and their ilk, too remembered the days of Medvedev and the ever present threat of nuclear annihilation in the 70s and 80s. For them though, it would seem that such conflict could be ready to rear it's ugly head once more.

National Announcement

The Traestanian Research and Development Department has been developing it's second supercomputer using indigenous technology for research purposes, with the first being finished only a few months ago. Traestan using indigenous technology for it's supercomputers is a milestone, as we are not as dependent on foreign technology as before. The Council has been discussing increasing spending of the TRDA, and the Aerospace Exploration Agency [AEA]. The AEA has it's manned Mun lander lifting off on the 14th of December. The manned Mun lander, 'Dawn', will land in the approximate area of a planned Mun base. The first modules of the Mun base are to launch in Q3 2018, with the last modules following in Q4 2020.
Traestanian Economic Growth has been slowing in Q4 2017, with the slowdown expected to continue to 2018. The State has continued to privatize state companies, with the most recent privatization being the AgriTr company, worth ₹150B. It has also privatized numerous amounts of heavy and light industry state companies. Traestan has been considering upping military spending, however, the Council is divided on this issue, as this means decreasing funding of other, more important things like R&D, Education, Infrastructure, ect.

Imperial State of Yinshan

The sky over Taidu is gold as the sun is rising above the Jinshan mountains, shining down on the busy commuters rushing to get to their destinations. The highways were jammed full of cars and buses per usual at 7:30. Tianqiao district is just starting to be filled with people, locals and tourists alike, to eat breakfast either at the cafés in the newer malls or at one of the smaller restaurants near the centuries old hutongs. Near the heart of Taidu, televised screens near Jiangmer gate show off how great Yinshanese industry, agriculture, technology, military, and unity are.

In the Lancheng Palace Complex, Emperor Tianlong strolled through one of the many ornately decorated corridors towards his meeting room in Nanmer gate to meet with his only formal connection with the Legislative Yuan, Geda Tuan.

They sat down at a table in the middle of Nanmer gate's upper floor with several bills ready for the emperor to sign into law.

The first bill was concerned with increasing funding to the public healthcare facilities in the rural counties of the Legstok Vojkal. Another one was a bill to use the seldom used death penalty on Yurın Güzhe, an infamous leader of the separatist Çulay Strike Brigade who was responsible for numerous high-profile terrorist attacks on military installations and civilian centers in the 1980s.

Tianlong then moved on and read a letter brought to him by Geda.
"Seems like Hokubuhon wants an alliance with us," remarked Tianlong.
"Well, in order for us to be a major power in the world, we have to have friends abroad," suggests Geda.
"I am aware of that," interjects Tianlong, "I'll write back to Emperor Daisuke after the final bills are reviewed."

After the emperor gave the final bills imperial assent and penned a letter back to Emperor Daisuke agreeing to official talks for a possible Yinshan-Hokubuhon alliance, Minister Geda said his farewells and headed back to the Legislative Yuan building in to confirm that the new bills have been given imperial assent while Tianlong retreated to Tian'an Palace to enjoy the Yinshanese sun in the gardens.

Grand Chairman Valcella Kerman stood at the head of a long mahogany table, the sun setting outside of the tall marble embassy, columns shining from the red sunset as they support a peculiar tetrahedral construction. There were a number of other important officers, party leaders, Grand Councilors, all overlooked by a pair of guards awaiting the Marachnians as they sat in an orderly fashion around the table.

A low rumble came from the set of tall, arching doorways at the end of the room, and as it grew louder, it turned out to be a loud chatter of voices and yelling. As it got even louder, the left door swung open, revealing 10 to 20 reporters and journalists, all being held back by bodyguards. With a bodyguard walking in front, Chief Sikig Kasgl and Chancellor Hadke Kermer were just barely visible over the kerb. As the doors closed, and the guard revealed the two, they both walk towards the table, and before sitting down, both bow to Valcella. They then both took a seat, with the Chancellor at the far end, and the Chief just left of the corner. Disgruntled, the Chief did not look happy about his seating arrangement.
Valcella bows, honoring Marachnie tradition, as they take their seats. She remains standing and excitedly exclaims, "Welcome, my Marachnie Polenka! Please, let us begin!"

"Grand Chairman Valcella, it is an honor to be here today.", Chancellor Kermer says in his raspy voice. The Chief however, remains silent.

"Right, so, on to business. As you all know, Blorbs and the Marachnie Islands have enjoyed great relations since almost the very day of the Bluft Revolution, even having a non-agression pact and some trade agreements. But, as is evidence by the fact you have arrived..." she trailed off for a moment, "we are all in agreement our international friendship should go further."

He is cut off by the Chancellor. "Now now, Kasgl, let us not get too hasty with this... those chocolate-covered baa'jers we all know you love so much can wait!" Everyone chuckles except the Chief, now with a sour look apon his face.
The Chancellor spoke up. "Yes, our friendship and peace should reign on to not just be friends, but as siblings! That is why The Marachnie Islands is here today. The alliance we shall make will be stronger and more bountiful than any before!"

The Chief piped in, "Yes, that is true... and so, we should not waste another moment. Please, bring in the papers for me to sign, and it shall-"

He was cut off by the Chancellor. "Now now, Kasgl, let us not get too hasty with this... those chocolate-covered baa'jers we all know you love so much can wait!" Everyone chuckled except the Chief, who now had a sour look on his face.

"Firstly, and rather obviously," interjected the head of the party KPY, who had also attended the meeting, "A full and complete military alliance is in order. Any and all military conflicts call our two sister nations to war as one and we can always stand side by side."

"Yes, I suppose it would be true that some naval support can be in service to you, and if the time comes, we will gladly accept your help!" The Chancellor spoke with confidence. The Chief, after hearing the Chancellors answer, had a worried look on his face...

"Yes, might I intervene..." The Chief speaks up. "I don't think it is our duty to help you if you cause a problem yourself, and we had nothing to do with it... those are valulabe soldiers we'd lose! Kerbals with families... and why does their daughter ask: Where is my father? When is father coming home? All because some Blorbik government Official called for us to help with a battle that we'd lose."(edited)
The Chancellor looked speechless.

"Sikig, that is entirley rude! Of course we shall help you in any time of need, Chairman Valcella."

"You would not be coming to fight for me, we would be coming to defend eachother!" As she finished her sentance, the KPY party leader looked slightly surprised and very pleased that Valcella and he were in complete agreement. "Two sister nations, fighting for all of their great Kerbs collectively!"

The Chiefton has a defeated look on his face.

"I am glad we are all in agreement." The Chancellor looks proud of the agreeance.

"Now, onto another point of the agreement, trade. I propose that we are in possesion of a geographical position which could allow for great wealth, advancement and prosper for our people that we should—nay must—take advantage of. In that regard I propose that we form a unified Marachnie-Blorbs trading leage for the vast benifit of both our common kerbs."
"What a wonderful idea, Chairman Valcella." The Chancellor spoke with a charm in his voice, as much as he could without sounding like a car engine. "If we can achieve great heights of trade, our two nations shall surely prosper greatly!"

Valcella continues, "And a final matter; the introduction of a freedom of movement clause, allowing for open travel between the Marachnie Islands and Blorbs."

"Ah, certainly. I think we can both trust eachother enough to enforce that!", the Chancellor smiled.

"Then its settled! We'll work out the minor details, and after holding national elections in our respective nations we shall reconvene next week to officially sign and ratify the document to put it into law."

International Bulletin—Announcement of Blorbs-Marachnie "Sister Nation" Alliance Agreement

Today a significant document was signed and ratified between Blorbs and Marachnie. Its content includes:

-A Full military alliance—the bodies of war of the two nations united to be acting as one.

-The unification of Marachnie-Blorbs national trade

-A freedom of movement clause; open borders.

-Blorbs will sponsor the creation of Marachnie nuclear and renewable power plants, including providing reactor-grade nuclear fuels.

-The Marachnie Islands and Blorbs will provide assistance of the development and production of military vehicles to eachother,
particularly naval and air craft respectively.

People's Palace and Hall, Keiming

Chairman Hito Kami walked into the enormous hall in a sea of applause and cheering. He stopped at the seemingly large podium and signaled everyone to stop clapping.
He cleared his throat.

"Brothers, Sisters and all alike, we are gathered in this hall to celebrate the liberation from our imperialist rulers and the founding of our glorious union. 65 years ago in the December Revolution we began our perilous fight against the oppressors but, today is also a day for reform and modernization." Hito said.

The crowd starting applauding and screaming at the top of their lungs.

He prepared again.

"We must get ourselves out of a daydream, look around us, all of them better than us! We must begin to modernize our nation or we will go down in history with the imperialists!"

The crowd once again applauded.

"But my friends, I have come to you. Our union requires your assistance. We need men and women in the factories, in the fields, on the tanks, in the skies and the waters. Without any of you the threat of imperialism looms over us."

He begun again. "We will also be extending and revising People's Army, we must get this arm of the nation of the ground. We are currently quite vulnerable to strikes from foreign forces and, that is why we need you. We need all of you to fight for our glorious nation and fight for our right of sovereignty."

He finished his speech and saluted, the whole crowd stood and did the same then, the anthem of the union started to be played. Everyone began to sing the anthem, signalling the end of the meeting.

17:10:32 CST (Cadenzanian Standard Time)

T-1 minute and 30 seconds

Jemina yawned as she re-checked the pre-flight checklist for the third time. Everything was a go. The engines were ready for ignition at the command, everything was ready to go. Her co-workers were doing their various tasks, this launch was merely a milk run compared to some other launches. a Kerthoski IV rocket with a GPS satellite payload, quite boring compared to the government equipment that had been sent up earlier in the week. However, unbeknownst to the Jemina, Mission Control, or the entire nation, this launch would end very differently.

T-1 minute

Hershlock was astounded at the lack of people attending this launch. Usually there were over 100 people gathered in the stands to watch rockets launch from Kasinki RC, sometimes even going over 200 people. However, there were probably only about 25. Hershlock was a security guard for the stands, and the one of the two guards assigned today because of the extreme lack of viewers. He yawned and took a seat facing the crowd.

T-45 seconds

Imonicon watched the timer ticking down. He was the head of the Cadenzanian Space Program, and watched all launches from his penthouse in Kasinki RC. It never ceased to amaze him watching rockets launch. Each launch had something uniquely special about it. The way the rocket moved and rotated. How it always pitched at a different angle depending on the payload and rocket. The different engine sounds, still hearable from his penthouse very far away. Everything about launches, he loved. He awaited anxiously as this rocket was about to launch

The timer ticked down. T-30 seconds, the auto-sequencer for the launch starts. At 20 seconds, the small crowd stands up. Jemina calls out commands to mission control, something was wrong. Imonicon sits back and sips his glass of wine. T-10 seconds, Jemina calls out "ABORT LAUNCH! ERROR RECIEVED!" Kerthock, in control of emergency response systems, misses the button. T-5 seconds, "Main engine start" the automated announcer calls out)
But the engines never start.

Cadenzanian News Report

Good morning everyone, this is Lanceria for your Cadenzanian News Network.
Last night at about 5:12 PM, a heavy lifter carrying a GPS Satellite exploded on the pad. No one was injured, but the rocket and tower were completely destroyed. Officials say that it may take weeks to repair the launch pad and tower, and get more launches coming. The cause of the explosion is allegedly due to an ignition issue with one of the engines. Off the coast of the Serrian Archipelago

A modestly sized cargo ship begins to decelerate to dock with an international coastal harbor as the flag of the Order of Serria flutters above the deck in the mild wind. Order markings are also washed along by waves on the side of the ship. The livery of the craft itself stands out as well with the Order's characteristic Black and White paint job. The ship comes to a stop at the harbor and a pair of customs officers begin making their way over to the ship.

Four dozen Kerbs are aboard, each provided with a dossier adorned with an embossed KBN (Collective of Blorbik Intellegence) logo on the front. Inside contains an Order of Serria combination Passport and Identification, a fake identity, and the following document detailing the operation:

Collective of Blorbik Intelligence—ягдєк иџгзә cптәxәзә [Operation Yellow Door]
NOTICE: By reading the following document without proper clearance you are committing an international felony and may be sentenced to death.

Preword:
This operation is intended to establish a foothold in Serria. Previously, this archipelago has gone under our radar however possible sources useful intelligence from the nation are arising and as such a significant presence must be established

Operation Timeline:
-Ship is to be sent to a Serrian international seaport
-KBN operatives aboard are to read all contents of their dossier, and then proceed to burn them, barring the documentation
-Documentation is to be used to get past border security
-Cargo is to be unloaded. Every fifth contains contraband and is to be covertly unloaded
-Using local currency provided, groups of 3 are each to purchase or construct a small structure to operate as an outpost
-Further reconnaisance instructions and any additional intelligence will be relayed once operatives are in a secure location through encrypted messaging

Additional notes:
This land is wary of outsiders, it is necessary to seem as naturalized and local as possible as to continue under the radar.

The last dossier is burnt and thrown off the deck behind the cargo, then the customs officers walk onto the ship.

"Passports and registration, please," the first says, looking tired.

The 48 of them begin to form two orderly lines, standing proud and showing their Order documentation.

The captain of the ship, or at the very least the Kerb who claims to be the captain, approaches the officers, speaking in perfect Serrian, "Hello! We are here for a large shipment of wheat to help fund one of our new projects. Here is the registration of this shipment, ship, and my documentation of the Order of Serria."

The second officer takes the three documents, looking slightly puzzled. After looking it over, he states, hesitantly, "Alright... you are... approved to enter." After a moment, as if he had just accidentally insulted them, he quickly remarks, "Good luck, and thank you for all you have done."

The crew, assisted by a number of cranes and forklifts, unload the many cargo crates. Each of them are opened, inspected, closed, and approved with the inspectors merely seeing crate after crate of wheat, feeling around and finding nothing, and moving on. Unbeknownst to them, however, in many of them, embedded very deep into the wheat stacks, is a much smaller crate filled to the brim with guns, ammunition, radios, forged documents, currency (Much of which is counterfeit), and other useful materials; all of which, the forty-eight of them load onto rented trucks without issue and drive off onto the vast Serrian highways.

Potential Chemical Spill Reported at Nearby PB® Factory
Personnel at the local manufacturing plant discovered the incident late this evening, at around 9:10 PM local time. The fire department is currently investigating, and unconfirmed reports state that the Health Department's Chemical Emergency Response Division is en route. The incident appears to be a minor leak of transformer oil, and may be a false alarm.
The facility in question is an electrical-equipment manufacturing plant owned by the PB® corporation. Its products include transformers, generators, and switchgear. Insulating transformer oil, mostly mineral oil, is stored in large tanks at the site; thankfully, the PB® website reports that PCBs are not in use at the facility. This factory is the second-largest employer in Felden.
We await further information from the fire department or the CERD.

In recent times, the world has ever increasingly begun to move away from its old ways, and in many places the status quo is being overthrown by the international Worker's movement.
There are, however, begging to be a number of Worker's movements which have failed due to weakness, finding themselves exploited by someone who does not truly support their cause without any course of action to prevent their takeover, and to nationalist movements which manage to stay under the guise of a Worker's movement.
There is, however, hope.
If the nations and movements of the world do no longer choose to stay isolated and merely look out for themselves and their own interests this problem may indeed be remedied.
And so, it is for this reason, that we have created:

The Internationale of the Red Banner

The Internationale of the Red Banner is named of the globally recognized Red Flag of Socialism, and its intended for the causes that might wave such a banner.

The Organization has been founded by the following initial members:

-Anderia
-Barkadia
-Blorbs
-Mon Faira

In its current state, beyond simply being a political international, it forges new solidarity in the world, and for all its members has the following:

-Numerous, tariff free trade deals and agreements

Chemical Spill Incident Has Been Resolved
The town fire chief, along with a PB® spokesperson and a CERD official, held a press conference today, and confirmed that last night's chemical spill has been cleaned up and resolved. It was revealed that three large tanks of transformer oil began leaking at the site, but the fire department closed the breach, and the CERD team was then able to successfully remove the contaminants. Both teams left the facility shortly after this conference, and PB® personnel are currently working on more permanent reparations to the damage. Further questions may be directed to the customer support line at 1-444-PBPHONE or http://www.pb.ib/contact/ from any Internet browser.
In other news, there was a robbery near the town center early today. A knife-wielding man entered Will's Pizzeria, threatened the cashier, and drove off with the contents of the safe. Nobody was injured, and local police are currently investigating.
Additionally, the town hall voted to construct a new park near the intersection of Retaining Road and Oraden Road. It is expected to cost $200,000 to build, and will contain a children's playground, along with a small patch of forested land with some paved trails. The area is currently occupied by brownfield, left over from the demolition of the Reback Motors facility eleven years ago.

After a vote within the Red Congress of 492 to 11, we have elected to allow the nation of Klathu to become a full and participating member of the Internationale of the Red Banner. Klathu will now enjoy the same full benefits and defense of the rest of the Internationale of the Red Banner, including proportional representation in the Congress.

Corgelian Government Announcement

With the possible threat of The Internationale of The Red Banner on Corgelian borders, The President and the Corgelian Assembly ratified a treaty with Kerthenia. This treaty will allow free trade through our countries, the stationing of Kerthenian troops and equipment in Corgelia, and a defensive pact between our two countries. Corgelia and Kerthenia will rise stronger from this treaty, and we will fend off any aggressors! Alert level 3 is in effect.

Eli Kerman looked at the trucks unloading in the base. Crates of Kerthenian Assault rifles and their ammo, AT launchers, air-air missiles, Shells for the M3A2 Leos and their crews that would be arriving soon. Although the modern equipment looked great, there was one thing on his mind. "Damn, the Blorbiks are gonna be pissed about this." But he knew the contingency plan. He didn't particularly like it, but it would hopefully keep them more safe than any rifle or tank. He just hoped that they wouldn't have to bring them in.

Corgelia has recently agreed to station Kerthenian troops on bases on Corgelias land on the peninsula, this is considered an unnecessary escalation of tensions with Kerthenia and The Internationale of The Red Banner. It is strongly advised that Kerthenian troops leave the Corgelian portion of the peninsula to avoid causing greater tension between the alliances of Corgelia - Kerthenia and The Internationale of The Red Banner. A joint Fairan - Blorbick force has been sent to secure the border to prevent incursion from the western states of Corgelia and Kerthenia.

Central Corgelia-Mon Faira border

A caravan of troop trucks kick up a long cloud of dust, travelling towards a hastily constructed fence on the border. Blorbik flags on the roofs of the trucks rush by, occasionally interrupted by the red shield of the Internationale—after its construction some of the member nations' military equipment and soldiers had blended together from training operations or redistribution made. The long line of trucks suddenly disperse as they find a spot to park and unload within range of the border.

The air is cool in the early morning, the sky a faint shade of blue. A Mon Faira officer is barely visible in the dim light of dawn.

"Is this the right spot?" A Blorbik Non-Commissioned Officer quietly says to the Fairan in a thick Blorbik accent.

"Yes..." he gazed across the glinting fence and off into the distance, "Over there, I think you can see they are... setting up a military outpost..."

"Kerthenians or Corgelians?"

"Not sure. I'm not sure it matters either. Without you, either one leaves us pretty much defenseless in the case of an offensive operation here. This land in particular isn't incredibly valuable or important but any weak point is a bad thing."

"Can't have that."

Yinshan Border

The border seemed strange today, too much activity, unless... It was the celebrations of the Revolution

Waves of soldiers in parade uniform marched around the border whilst revolutionary music in traditional Kongun blasted out of speakers. The soldiers also started screaming slogans of the revolution. A column of tanks rolled to the edge of Border Zone 1, joining the parade. The Yinshans started to prepare for war.

A wave of IFVs and AFVs also tailed along. The navy joined in from the seas patrolling around the Serrian Archipelago and around the waters of Yinshan. All of the forces stopped and faced the border. They screamed and started firing upon the large patch of grass on the UZSR side. The whirl of rockets started to fill the air, crashing down on the grass leaving gigantic craters. The sound of crunching grass and grinding treads also added to the atmosphere. But in an instant they stopped.

One man who seemed to be an officer stepped to the massive gate at the border fence. He called for a Yinshanian officer to come to the gate. The Yinshans in complete fear, sent an officer to the border.

The officer cleared his throat.

"Today we celebrate the breakaway of Zhioubin from your disgusting empire. We also celebrate our heritage. That is why, we ask you, our brothers to come with us. And be liberated from the imperialist nation you toil in."
The Yinshans reluctantly denied, angering the fanatic Zhioubinian soldiers. They fired their weapons in the air and marched away, signalling the end of the celebrations.

Emperor Daisuke was pacing around his quarters awaiting the expected response from the Emperor of Yinshan about the proposed alliance. The silence in the room was broken by a knock on the door from the Minister of Foreign Affairs. Daisuke opened to be handed a letter from the Yinshanese Emperor agreeing to possible talks for an alliance. As the emperor was about to start writing a letter back to determine a setting the MInister of Defence Burst in.

"Your Majesty, we just received word of an invasion of Yinshan by the nation of Zhioubin."

The emperor remained silent and wrote his letter and sent it. The letter contained an offer of military intervention to assist Yinshan against the threat of Zhioubin as well as a time and place for talks of an alliance. The emperor then told his Minister of Defence to Mobilize the reserves and prepare the Expeditionary Fleet to set sail.
