Our official languages are Ruvian (our official native language) and English (our official trade language.)

Ruvian is the first language learned by almost every child in Ru. (unless they come from a family of foreign ethnicity of course). It is therefore extremely widespread in the empire with almost every non immigrant being able to speak the language proficiently no matter where they live.

English is also very widely known and spoken. Unless in very rural/remote areas, almost every native Ruvian above high school age can speak it proficiently and they prefer it over the native tongue whenever they find themselves speaking with a foreigner, since it is much more likely that both parties will understand each other this way.

There is a smattering of other minority languages spoken in Ru. These are foreign languages spoken by first generation immigrants from other countries.

English and Svori are spoken in Svorbask. Due to heavy Anglo influence, more people speak English in the cities than in the rural areas.

The dominant language of the nation are English, as two of the nations of in the Federal Union are dominated by it. However, Spanish is also a popular language. Other minority languages include Native languages.

I've been meaning to make a Galiagol language that combines the languages currently in my nation. Since I'm lazy though, that isn't happening yet...

The official language is Mongolian (86%), with bilingual citizens often mastering Cantonese (44%), Korean (21%), Tibetan (10%), Japanese (6%), and Arabic (3%, roughly coincides with Islamic population). About 6% of the population are native Cantonese speakers, which make up the majority of Chinese languages spoken by natives in Galiagolach (around 8% are various other Chinese languages). Other languages are usually spoken by foreigners, such as English (0.3%), German (0.05%), and Swedish (0.001%).

We also happen to use a wide variety of written scripts as well. Citizens are required to learn Traditional Mongol and Hanzi, while others can go on to Hangul, U-Chan (dbucan) Script, Japanese (most often Kanji with a little Hiragana. Katakana doesn't exist in this universe), Arabic, and Latin.

There are Slovak, Hungarian, and Ukrainian minorities.
English is regularly taught in schools, most people speak it at least at a basic level.
