Sandstorm International Holding LCC is a subsidiary of the Northeast Interstate Kombinat
Overview
Sandstorm International Holding LCC, or Sandstorm, is a state-owned investment and holdings company. It is a subsidiary of the Northeast Interstate Kombinat, headquartered in Ubjerg, located in the Autonomous Region of Havonya, Nanban-Ha, and in Osato, Nihon-Ha. The company was created in December 2020, following the transformation of the International Exchange Treaty Pact (IETP) into a trade and economic community.
Using as a structural base an Economic Directorate initiated by the People's Democratic Republic of Nihon-Ha as part of the IETP, Sandstorm was formed following a major reorganization and transfer of assets, especially from Shiramata International Holdings Inc. (SIH). Shiramata's shares in the companies Vulture Technologie International Incorporated, Ethanol Drink and Prometheus Technologies passed into the hands of the Kombinat.
Using as a structural base an Economic Directorate initiated by the People's Democratic Republic of Nihon-Ha as part of the IETP, Sandstorm was formed following a major reorganization and transfer of assets, especially from Shiramata International Holdings Inc. (SIH). Shiramata's shares in the companies Vulture Technologie International Incorporated, Ethanol Drink and Prometheus Technologies passed into the hands of the Kombinat.
History : the Shiramata Period
At its origin, Sandstorm International was founded as Shiramata International Holdings Incorporated by the Foreign Trades Ministery of the People's Democratic Republic of Nihon-Ha. It opens its very first office branch on 25 October 1972 in as a local state-run bank holding fund. After several years of development within the internal market Nihon-Ha, SIH opened several regional offices of the company abroad. SIH opens a branch in Nanban-Ha in 1983, then in the rest of the Aeropia Amenasiano region. In 1985, the first regional office of the company opened in Sikomata.
From the second half of the 1990s, the company specializes in the acquisition of companies in financial difficulties. In 1999, SIH carries out its first major acquisition by taking control of the Fonderas Bank for nearly NS$ 120 millions. In the following years, other major acquisitions took place like High Valley Financial Holdings in 2000 (NS$ 15 millions), Gold Credit Financial Inc. (NS$ 16 millions) and in 2001, Starlight Mountain Intelligence (NS$ 8.3 millions).
In August 2008, SIH started to encounter some difficulties due to its incapacity to breakthrough in the global finance and banking market. In February 2012, the company attempted to acquire, for NS$15.5 millions, 80% stake of Standard Bank Tovarya. But after six months of negotiations, the offer was turned down. It was the first of many setback that the company face in the following years. In an attempt to overcome its difficulties, SIH invested in the Union Stock Exchange where the company acquired shares of Dragon Arms International Security (0.1%), Dyaas-Nildhelm Onderneming (25%) and Avrora Petroleum Corporation (2,5%). These attempts to acquire shares in other companies were not limited to the Union Stock Exchange since SIG succeeded in acquiring a 10% stake in IH Automotives and Excalibur Defense Ltd.
Leaving the fields of finance and investment behind, the company sought to diversify its portfolio. Four companies were bought by Shiramata in a few years: The Ethanol Drink company, Vulture Tech, Prometheus Technologies and for 90% of the shares, Achaian Traditions Jewelry Company.

Under new management : the Northeast Interstate Kombinat takeover
In December 2020, Shiramata International Holdings Inc., as subsidiary of the Shinkuju Economic Directorate of the International Exchange Treaty Pact saw its assets transferred to the newly created Northeast Interstate Kombinat. From a market point of view, the impact of the transaction is currently unknown. There is no doubt that several hundred million dollars have changed hands. However, the difficulties encountered by Shiramata International and its subsidiaries in recent years had greatly reduced the company's funds and capabilities of acquisition. It is not excluded that the transaction which led to the acquisition of the company by NIK was used to cover various mechanisms serving the purchase of its debt by a third party, in particular due to the significant losses of several of its subsidiaries. In particular, the shares of IH Automotives and Excalibur Defense Ltd were sold in their entirety for the total sum of $80 million while the shares hold by Shiramata in the company Dyaas-Nildhelm Onderneming were bought back in exchange with a full reimbursement of the acquisition costs, representing a net gain of 670,175,000. At present, the sale of Shiramata's assets continues in order to regain cash and pay off the company's remaining debts.

The process of reorganizing Sandstorm International's activities was not limited to its assets in the markets. The company has considerably reduced its activities, closing most of its national, regional and local branches. Over 60,000 employees were laid off by Sandstorm or its subsidiaries. Today it only maintains offices in Osato, Nihon-Ha and Ubjerg, Nanban-Ha. The company's leadership has also completely changed bringing new faces to the company board. To some degrees, this new leadership seem to have a large freedom of action to define the future direction et investments. However, the Northeast Interstate Kombinat does not wish to let the board of the company act without supervision. To this end, Cecily Lytcott, a young economist, graduate of one of the most prestigious University of Massayiana, was appointed as Supervisor of the Board of Directors.
