I encourage all WA members to vote against the proposal, although I expect that most of them won't even visit this debate; much less read this post.
I believe these were the reasons why the resolution actually passed.
Nonetheless, the WA shouldn't use humanitarian aid to enter into its member countries and force domestic policy. The original resolution gave host nations a blanket "security checks" option, but also stated that host nations couldn't interfere with humanitarian work. With no standards to guide host nations, the WA could abuse its powers by calling a valid "security check" "interference." If the WA wants to provide aid, they'll need stricter guidelines than a broad grant of power.
This repeal has Persepo's full support.
I agree. I think most people just log in and look in the WA and vote with the masses, and the mass tends to vote "for" resolutions.
Merakio's Foreign Council has voted for this repeal, and, due to the tendencies of the WA, we expect it to pass. It's discouraging that we've had to waste this time to strike the resolution.
