Mercs are par for the course they're fine. Maybe they're already contracted by one of the nations? Or is already doing something. The problem is when they're not doing anything and waiting for somebody to 'hire' them. Take my previous character for example. All this work has left him no real time to recover from the murder of his parents, and that scar remains wide open. Alex has gone through several different Conspiracy commanders, committing heartless murders for all of them, before winding up working for Erika von Reinach. Upon hearing news of the Conspiracy schism, Alex remained loyal to Erika, seeing no reason to kill those who were not in a position to be threats. As time passes, however, he has grown increasingly concerned with the rising popularity of the Cleanse faction, and has begun plotting with Erika to discreetly 'remove' Cleanse leaders.
