You should quote that and put it into your signature as "shit I say"
Because that's some shit right there.

You're setting aside literally 100% of your country's everything for a single purpose and using only a fraction off it, meaning the rest either goes to waste, is probably pocketed by a corrupt official, or sits in an account accumulating and never being used.
Meanwhile, that money goes to literally nothing else.
You're not running a country, you're running a shit-tier clone of a Lyran nation.
No, no no. 300 billion is used for defense budget, while everything else is the other things.

I think you're ignoring still the rest of your obligations. A military budget doesn't pay just for new stuff - it's for paying your soldiers, maintaining property like bases or air fields, maintaining vehicles, vessels, and planes, and loads of other expenses. Spending it all on buying new toys means your boys wont have ammo to use, no spare parts, payment wont happen that year period, and all services halted. And that's the least of your concerns when we live in a multiverse where an attack comes at any month.

Our soldiers don't get payment (compulsory service) but yeah. The whole reason I used payment plans, loans etc. was to make way for the other thinks the military needs.

Sounds like your soldiers are unmotivated target practice then tbh. Even the Soviets paid their soldiers - not enough so side jobs were done, but I would place a good bet that any communist country pay(ed)s its soldiers something. You'd have soldiers unmotivated and always trying to avoid the draft. I don't even have to question how badly trained they are at this point. I'd consider changing your policy.

Because there's a fuckton of them on GE&T I'm going to make it famous by making it only 6.4m long like 1 m short of most modern APCs
Fuck practicality a thing people laugh at you for is the best
(also a painful allusion to asian sizes on...practically everything)
An APC doesn't get famous for being tiny (and racist designed for 'Asians'. APC become famous for being well designed and well written about. Making it short, low height, or thin just makes it weaker in most cases anyways. FYI, I suggest for height something between 2-2.5 meters high - less tall the better, just a tip
Edit: Also, is this still an RP OOC Thread? All I see is mostly spam the last few pages...

Well, while soldiers aren't paid actual money, they have access to western trade and high quality services (i.e. new cars, hospitals reserved for them, expensive electronics) and a general standard of living considerably higher than that of the average Bahtari.
But I wouldn't say they're badly trained, though. Bahtari soldiers are expected to be able to survive in the Rub al-Khali desert for days with only a single canteen water, fight off several combatants at once at hand to hand combat, parachute jump and make use of chemical weaponry.
*cough* Sarin *cough*
That said, Bahtar is really just like an Arab-version of Oceania from George Orwell's 1984. Giant telescreens everywhere, chips implanted in people's brains, perpetual war with the Bayan etc. So there is not really any motivation to be had

But where does the other funding go?

I'll tell you where. He doesn't even know himself.
His whole explanation from the start makes no sense. Are his soldiers men or teenagers living at home with mom and dad? They get no pay but they're handed everything from expensive cars to gadgets - at the very least they're expected to do superb jobs without solid pay or any real freedom, which is totally unrealistic. What's the point of not paying them and making them slave soldiers if they're given stuff as payment? And don't say they aren't slaves, 'conscripts' like you're describing hardly have a choice in the matter. But I think we all can agree "paying in western trade" is like dad buying 17yr old you a new car for doing chores around the house; scratch that, the reality of this example is to real compared to the original idea, so maybe infantrymen payed with ipods for a 4yr tour in Afghanistan?. To be frank, what he's talking about makes little to no sense and wouldn't work in any form of reality. No one would do a job if they only got paid with some random toy from another culture once in a while - how would you get food, medical services, and things you actually desire/need? And if they really are just pampered princesses, they aren't really soldiers. Though I don't even need to go into how unrealistic his 'standard' training is - it's described with more ignorance than actual thought out basic training really is and it ignores reality (from any technology outlook). Actual Arabs who run nations based on Arab cultures are probably disgusted at this point tbh. If you don't know what you're talking about or need help there's no shame in asking for assistance; everyone does it and should know when they need to ask for a little help/opinions.

My opinion is that he made a purely fictional nation, which only has hints, but not exactly the same as Arab and 1984 stuff. If he said otherwise, then it's just fiction...

I couldn't laugh harder... Sure. Thanks
Also, as a Rizalian sentiment (as usual), we're going to give you Sarkey, Yalkovi and Stupditee Islands in the Pacific as a Special Administrative Zone to your nation. It'll be returned in 50 years and both constitutions apply
