“We believe in one God,
the Father, the Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all that is, seen and unseen.
We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,
the only Son of God,
eternally begotten of the Father,
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made,
of one Being with the Father.
Through him all things were made.
For us and for our salvation
he came down from heaven:
by the power of the Holy Spirit
he became incarnate from the Virgin Mary,
and was made man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
he suffered death and was buried.
On the third day he rose again
in accordance with the Scriptures;
he ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead,
and his kingdom will have no end.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son.
With the Father and the Son he is worshiped and glorified.
He has spoken through the Prophets.
We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church.
We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
We look for the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the world to come. Amen.”

It was a normal Sunday for Baolao, a traditional one as the procession went on in the basilica - a chorus of . The patriarch stood in the centre of the magnificent dome, high upon the altar and adorned with hundreds of unique texts in celebration of the Lord Christ and the Father. He was Aiguo Lazin, the current head of the white branch of the dynasty and grandfather of some of the Ditor’s uncles. He wore a mask the colour of milk glass, three-eyed but across it went a black cross made from obsidian encased it. Aiguo’s red eyes were particularly prominent, they were fading in their shrewdness. He himself was a small man, unlike some of the black dynasty’s members who towered over most men.
The church service was almost ending, the light dimming as it was becoming night now, the golden rays shone through the face of the basilica - illuminating the contents of the black cathedral inside. It was a combination of banners of the Lazins and Christ, great and grand paintings of oil and four statues behind the altar of the four Lazin Ditors stood. The first Sunzhi’s was made from white slate, his eyes red rubies and was the oldest. The second statue was made from some kind of red stone and seemed to be surprisingly strong without any sign of cracks. The third was a statue made from solid obsidian, with two crimson rubies - this was Jieke and his testament to his magnificence. He towered somewhat over the other two statues, at almost seven foot tall it seems. And then there was Hulang’s statue, fresh pale stone with piercing jewelled eyes. It was almost symbolism it felt like.
“Now let us go in service of his perfection and the highest - let us bring us…” Aiguo was interrupted all too suddenly by a large bang. A choir of hectic screams filled the air, as a succession of loud blasts crashed down. Black smoke arose from the inside as, the clashes of fire falling and pain came down.
Baolao ran as fast as he could and so did many, he dashed to hide in one of the confession booths near the corner, and hid inside. In there he found the patriarch cowering, quietly reciting various prayers as he noticed his fellow faithful.
“What is happening,” Baolao whispered to the priest, with sincere terror in his eyes.
Aiguo paused for a second, seemingly calming down and contemplating his surroundings as he did, he placed a hand on Baolao’s shoulder. “It is the Lord’s judgement for we have failed him. And a sign I should have accepted the offer of having Riyeskonsu at my side it seems.”
As they both peaked out they saw crowds running towards the single entrance to this vast semi-subterranean complex. And then began the second tragedy as the crackle of many rounds pierced through the bodies of the congregation and screams were accompanied with the sound of bodies hitting the floor.
My God, they're firing on them as well Baolao thought as he felt his stomach hurl. He wanted to vomit, as the foul stench of the many corpses began to fill the air. Yet the old priest seemed almost unfazed now, strangely adapting to his bloody violence. “Where is the church guard? I swore I had them on guard duty outside…”
The Patriarch’s question was answered with a combination of shouts and commands, as a group of people marched into the room - three of them wearing the ceremonial white robes and body armour of the guards. They all carried automatic weapons with the exception of a single man who carried a box and a flag divided into two. One half was black, the other an inverted rainbow it seemed.
A voice shouted louder than most, declaring: “Silence! You are now our hostages! Resistors will be shoot!” As he spoke, a camera was attached to a drone was flown. They seemed to acknowledge it was recording. They’re broadcasting this live. “We are the Tonzhi band, we are here today to sacrifice ourselves to the cause of the destruction of the faiths of Abraham for their crimes against the suppression of our personal liberties. We are were with our comrades with homefront and the Keng National Revolutionary Front! Your oppression of our people will end soon! For we shall be the free of the chains of your repression, free to love those who we love! We reject this order imposed by a corpse god and you shall be the sacrifice for this revolution! We wish death to the tyrants, Hulang and his whore mother! They should be made to become eunuchs like we were forced to be! To suffer like prostitutes in the court of rapist pederasts! Their allies are as ill born as their inbred selves! The Edomites reveal their hypocrisy and shall suffer for it in this life for there is no next! Meet us here cowards, and we shall slaughter your kin! Give in now and you shall be free of this!”
Afterwards a song began playing, its lyrics were sung particularly poor Akai from the sounds of it, obviously choir boys…
“Out of the darkness we will rise
Into the light we will dwell
We came to free the weak with muse in arms
We are the men in the streets
We are the woman in the homes
We are the guardians of the poor
The oppressed and the lost
And all those crushed
We are the knights of the new world order
We are the liberators the bringers of life
We are the centre, the bringers of love
Fire and flame, we are one!
Out of the darkness of the Lazins we rise
Into the light of Majun we will dwell
Away from the whores Machiko and Lilsi
Death to Hulang, the pale inbred scum
And death to the Lazins and their inborn malice
They shall succumb
We came to burn Edom with muse in arms
We are the source of all your sin
We are shall bring ruin to the bastards
Their nudist filth shall be cleansed
And their queens and princesses fouled
Till the end of all time
We are the heroes of the new world order
We are the liberators the bringers of life
We are the centre, the bringers of love
Fire and flame, we are one!”
Into the light we will dwell
We came to free the weak with muse in arms
We are the men in the streets
We are the woman in the homes
We are the guardians of the poor
