Corbynites and Bernie supporters are very similar in some sectors, young, loud, obnoxious, unemployed, and they form some sort of cult of personality. It's so sad.

And uh that is what you call a uh eh hmm, sweeping generalisation.

For the sake of proving a point and perhaps stirring the pot a bit. That's called using rhetoric and hyperbole in an argument.

He is still correct: the Commission is composed of appointees with only the President drawn from the Parliament. The British Cabinet is entirely drawn from Parliament.

They don't have to be. That's pure coincidence. Also, they aren't: Jeremy Heywood isn't. Tina Stowell is, but isn't elected.

The Prime Minister doesn't have to command the support of Parliament either but it is a convention strong enough to pass for a constitutional obligation.

Jeremy Heywood isn't a member of the Cabinet, he is Cabinet Secretary, a Civil Service job.

The EU Commission, today, is analogous to a Cabinet in which every member other than the Prime Minister was a member of the House of Lords appointed by that same Prime Minister. Think people might have a problem with that? Before 2014, it was analogous to a Cabinet in which every member was a member of the House of Lords appointed by the Queen.

"(suspected) baseless conjecture within".

There is a point at which it is obviously fair to ask for proof of something. There is a point where asking for proof in lieu of looking it up for yourself shows laziness to really participate in a debate.

On this board it is almost ALWAYS a time-wasting tactic. The purpose is just to attrition the other poster's patience to remain in the debate. Usually the person demanding evidence believe a contradictory positive claim but never provides any evidence for it. People who repeatedly demand evidence of things are usually (but not always) time-wasting posters.
