You have to register guns as well as you need to register cars. Background check is required. If you're seen with a gun and you can't prove you've registered it, the gun is confiscated and you'll get a fine depending on gun. You can retrieve the gun from the local police station with registration certificate and by paying the fine. It's legal to sell privately but recommendation is to sell your old guns to the weapon shop.
