[Issue Result] Sudden Switch of Industry

Postby Waldriech » Mon Feb 29, 2016 9:09 pm

I went from 75.8% Private Industry, to 75.8% State-Owned industry in a matter of a day. First, I never got any issue that would destroy the private industry I put my pride into. Second, this system goes on awfully fast.

Was the issue "nationalise all state industry"?

You can go to your settings and flip a switch that requires you to confirm all choices before they are processed. It reduces mistakes.
James 1:26-27, Matthew 7:21-23
If you claim to be religious but don’t control your tongue, you are fooling yourself, and your religion is worthless. Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you. | Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter. On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.’ But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.’

I actually really like it tbqh. I haven't answered any issues in a while because I just haven't been on as regularly as I used to, but when I logged on and checked it out I really enjoyed the quickness of it and the variety.

Was the issue about AI taking over industry? It's happened to me before, and that's the consequence.

I like the new system, and I don't think it changes the effect of issues - the same answer will still affect your stats the same way, it's just instant (instead of taking like a day) and you've detailed feedback.

On first impression, I like the new system due to the speed and the responsiveness. This opinion could change.

All issues have unexpected consequences and side effects, some that may not be logical to those not familiar with the subject but can often be found in real life events. I don't think the problem you have is down to the new system, but rather because of a mis-interpreted issue.

In this case. It was the AI issue as suggested by other members above. You selected the wrong option and everything got possessed into State Controlled companies.

The new system has brought most users to a much higher level of issue-effects-awareness state — a state which they could and/or would not have till now, due to (a) no-one monitoring the full spectrum of NS stats and figures for issue effects via the NS API, save the "usual suspects" of the issue-freaks fringe, and (b) many NS metrics having scales that were not detailed enough to provide some insight into their being affected by an issue (and thus not being included in the pool of influenced stats), despite the fact that the non-rounded values would actually change in the background.

Now, one can simply click on the "Details" button and be overwhelmed with a tsunami of influenced stats — and that's where the questions regarding the issue effects multiply and intensify.

However, all in all the post-update NS is much more Issue-oriented, with all this amplified direct feeling and deeper insights into effects — an evolution that can only make me happy.

These two have the right idea. One, this result is in your happenings: 11 hours ago: Following new legislation in Waldriech, only AI know why the nation is rapidly increasing its semiconductor stockpile.

Two, the new issues system change involved how issues were processed and displayed, not the stat changes themselves.

As this isn't really about the new issues system, towing it back to Got Issues and updating the title.

I've had same situation too, this is a small series of issues, don't worry, you will receive issue where you can undo that :)

Have you checked that you didn't accidentally place the nation into vacation mode?

(includes The Ursine NorthLands) Demonym = Bear[s]; adjective = ‘Urrsish’.
Population = just under 20 million. Economy = only Thriving. Average Life expectancy = c.60 years. If the nation is classified as 'Anarchy' there still is a [strictly limited] national government... and those aren't "biker gangs", they're traditional cross-Clan 'Warrior Societies', generally respected rather than feared.
