WARTIME NEWS

After the assassination of the Minister of Transport, Jon Latrielle, several cities and even the western coast of Ireland have suceeded, creating a Civil War state that has torn apart the lives of millions. Two battleships, three battlecruisers, one carrier, five destroyers, four cruisers, and one submarine have been stolen from the Navy as a result. 50 tanks, 100 drones, and 500 manned aircraft have also been stolen from Skye Military Base.

In Dublin, President Alexander Petrov made a speech to the public declaring a State of Emergency for the whole nation. Immediately after, chaos broke out in the crowds. Police and MP's tried their best to disperse crowds, but rebels who hid fired their weapons and killed most of the MP's and police who stood.

Aircraft roared into the skies above Ireland from offshore carriers and Joint Base Stevens-Erin. Sole purpose: protect defense drones flying towards Dublin to maintain peace.

"My liege," a voice called from outside the throne room. The Duke's advisor, Otto Von Rattan, entered and bowed low to the ground. "Rise. What is it?" "The Irish Republic is having an uprising. Apparently the rebels have seized a sizable amount of territory and have stolen lots of military equipment from Irish military bases and airfields." The Duke frowned. "They did help us in our civil war; I suppose we should return the favor. Compose a letter to the Irish government, and mobilize the 1st Marine Division; we will send the 2nd Carrier Gruppe as escort, but they won't take place in the fighting. Understood?" Otto nodded. "Yes, my lord." He turned around and exited the throne room, now with a lot of work to do.

As citizens flicked on the evening news they were shocked and appalled; just months after the destructive Columbian war, in which Nova Capile had lost 200,000 men and enlisted 2 million, as well as almost entirely consuming their supplies of minerals and other natural resources, they were going to war again. The newsman ensured his viewers that the war would be a small conflict; still, many were sure the Duchy would face repercussions from far left wing groups that had for so long protested the wars the Duchy had lately fought.

The Federal Republic of Cuba has announced its support for the rebels. Independent Cuban President Angel Castro has called its military up to arms. The government has called 3,000 troops to be deployed into Ireland. The troops will be deployed by sea. The Navy has planned its escort to Irelands neighboring country of the United Kingdom, from there the troops will cross into the border by sea and start from there.

The Cuban Air Force will be on standby for further notice. President Angel Castro has donated over $12,000,000 in NS Dollars as International Aid. The troops are expected to arrive in Ireland, later today or early tomorrow. We have called upon allies to assist us in this conflict. We have also made plans, for more further deployments of troops if needed.

"Mister President, sir, what should we do?"

President Johann Langenberg folded his arms on the desk, glancing back and forth between Commanding General of the Armed Forces and the country's Chancellor in front of him. He had just been told that a second civil war has broken out in Ireland. Rhineria had been neutral when the first civil war brewed. But now it seems that the country must not rest, instead it has to take action.

"How many of our citizens are trapped in there again?" He asked the chancellor.

Chancellor Donald Baker flipped open the folder in front of him. "Over five thousand of our people are trapped in there." He answered. "And, we have a dozen dead and wounded during the riots that broke out. Intel suggests that they were killed or wounded by the police forces."

Langenberg nodded slowly. He turned to look at the commanding general. "Alright then. General, I want you to mobilize the military. Send an airborne brigade to help the rebels and evacuate our citizens. I want it to arrive in less than 24 hours." The two men in front of him stared at him with confused faces. He was formerly a general in the military; he assured himself that he knew what he was doing.

"Sir, yes, sir. I wish to be granted the liberty to send in several other supportive elements, sir." The general replied firmly. "I can assure you they will arrive before your preferred deadline."

"Granted." Langenberg said. He turned to the chancellor. "Donald, I want you to withdraw the Ambassador from Ireland. Contact the rebels and inform them of our support." He said. The withdrawal of the Rhinerian Ambassador to Ireland would be costly, he knew that well. But it must be done.

"I will get on it as soon as possible." Baker said, picking up his folder and standing up from his seat.

Welcomzia to send troops in aid of rebels

Welcomzia has agreed to send 14,500 men in aid of the rebels in the Irish Civil War. Some sixty years ago, Welcomzia's government were overthrown and are still run by rebels, which had let the country have a free, democratic society, free from corruption. The troops and medical supplies in aid of the rebels will be escorted to the Isle of Man, where they'll wait for further orders. Generals Hans, Svenson and Falk will lead the troops into battle.

In a public statement president Cathal Banks said: "We are going to help Irish rebels fight for their freedom, as such we're going to send 14,500 men, 50 tanks, numerous medical supplies, with back-up on standby. We cannot let the people of Ireland suffer, at the hands of their corrupt government". This is the first battle that Welcomzia has fought since their civil war, now it's time to put their sizable military to test.

GOVERNMENT:
President Philip Jones Smith took the stand at a press conference. He cleared his throat and began to speak.

"Rebels have already killed two-hundred thousand Irish in the fighting. Many more are wounded. The fighting has displaced millions, with many of them being captured as they flee." he said, looking away to cough for a second. "People of Ireland and her allies, all I ask of you is to support this torn nation. This fine and brilliant nation has not seen a war as bloody as this since the Arcantovan-Jaclean War almost 100 years ago. If this nation survived that war, then we can survive this one. The full force of the IDF, IN, and IAF will be felt across the territory taken by rebels. I, as president of Ireland, hereby declare this nation in a state of total war." the President said and stepped down.

Meamwhile, the largest military base in Ireland, Joint Base Stevens-Erin, loaded all its military equipment and units then sent them on their ways. This war will not stop the fiercsome Irish military in its tracks.

REBELS:
Rebel leader Alexei Petrov, a former Jasmennia slave (Jasmennia was a colony I had until I disbanded it), gave orders to the fast moving rebel land forces. They were heading for the ICBM base Hickam in southwestern Ireland.

As his forces neared, a KAR-62 machine gun nest opened up on them. A rebel rocket propelled grenade flew out of nowhere only two minutes after the nest opened up. The rocket hit the nest and obiliterated it. Petrov's forces continued moving through the field of defenses, not one soul wishing to give up.

Petrov left his post at the rebel camp he was at and went to torture an Irish soldier, Sergeant Kaitlin Monroe, who was captured after her unit was attacked and executed infront of her. Petrov approached, took a bat, and hit Monroe's knees.

"I won't talk, scumbag. I don't know anything of importance to you." Monroe said harshly.

"We got ways, missy. We'll break you eventually." Petrov said and kicked her chair over. "Get that whore out of here, Washington. Bring her to Dublin and show the people of Ireland what we're capable of."

Anthony Eden will take over as Dominions Secretary with special access to the War Cabinet. Mr Eden resigned from the post of Secretary of Foreign Affairs last year because he disagreed with the policy of appeasement.
The National Service (Armed Forces) Act has been passed making all men between 18 and 60 liable for conscription. The armed forces have already been mobilized for war and today the first Territorial Army conscripts were called up.
In his broadcast to the nation, King Landern spoke of his sadness that "The People of Ireland are not under the god given rule of a monarchy".
He continued: "I cannot believe that there is anything more or anything different that I could have done and that would have been more successful."
Yesterday there was anger in the House of Commons over the Government's apparent delay in taking action against the Irish nation and its people.
Labour's deputy leader Arthur Greenwood had accused the Kaiser of vacillating when "The Monarchy and all that the Monarchy stands for are in peril".
Today's declaration of war was received with rousing cheers.

The slew of transport ships which had departed from the Capilean Forward Naval Base in Denmark(a country under control of the Duchy's ally) was carrying only 200 men of the 3,000 man task force. This was just to probe enemy positions, and Colonel Schultz, aboard the destroyer N.C.S. Cricket knew that. He was just reluctant about having his men carry out an operation in which most of them would, probably, die. Of course, there was some chance of success. Schultz had no idea what rebel defenses around Cork where(OOC: By the way, I'm attacking rebel territory near Cork as according to the map in the OCC); they could have as much as a few thousand, and as little as a few dozen. They could even have naval forces preparing to intercept them at this very moment, and in that case, the two destroyers escorting the transports could not hold off an entire navy. They could only hope and pray. "Colonel, we're only two minutes from the coast!" a young sailor called from the other end of the Cricket's bridge. "Very well; all troops, prepare to land; destroyers, prepare to open fire on the beach!"

President Cathal Banks sat in his Whitehouse mulling over some depressing news. Yet more nations have joined the war, supporting the government. Smith grinned as he left the president's office. He'd never been in a war before. He'd went through extensive training all leading up to the this. He yearned for battle. He didn't want to let his country down. He'd set sail tomorrow, and then knock some heads together.

The United States has agreed to support its ally Cuba. The U.S. and Cuba have Mutual defense treaty between each other. The United States President Barack Obama has we will support the government in this matter only to prevent new order from rebels and to prevent Lordareon aggression in Ireland.

The United States has called for 15,000 Marines to be in Ireland by the end of the week. The United States Navy has planned to carry out its operations in the Irish Seas. As well as the Air Force, will carry out bombing campaigns against enemy forces. The United States is calling for the United Kingdom to enter the conflict.

Admiral Robart looked at the clear horizon from the observation tower at the nose of the ship. He deepened his view and tried to look as far as possible.Robart, a man originating from Lordaeron city, has had a migraine since he stood up. He knew that whenever he has had a migraine, something Good would happen.

A thin strip appeared on the horizon. Robart yelled: "Lieutenant Bladriadin!".

One minute later, the naval lieutenant appeared in the observation tower. Robert Bladriadin was a passionate seaman from Benniaburg, he wore a seamless blue uniform. Both officers fixed their moustaches, and then Bladriadin saluted.

"First Lieutenant Robert Bladriadin ready to receive orders."

"Tell everybody. As quickly as possible. Over the intercom. I am seeing the barrier. We are there."

Five minutes later, on HMS Victory

The intercom loudspeakers were yelling the same sentence over and over for several minutes: "The Irish coast is in sight. All troops prepare for deployment. I repeat, all troops prepare for deployment.".

The soldiers were assembling on the upper decks of the ships. Officers were running around to inspect the uniforms and the weapons. There were marine soldiers with their dark blue uniforms, naval landing troops with their white uniforms and various infantry regiments with their Green uniforms standing on the ships along with their officers, and of course the seamen and the staff of the ships. An endless ocean of men.

With the time passing and the ship travelling further toward the coast.

On the HMS Chapinton, the main command ship of the 1st Invasion Fleet, the officers were sitting at a long meeting table. General Glanith, one of the most famous Generals of the Lordaeronian Army, was talking right now about the importance to give out gas masks to the soldiers because of the risk of chemical warfare.

A young seaman, only the beginnings of a moustache could be seen on his face, ran into the room. He yelled:

"Kaiser Landern has given out an order. Commence Operation Polar bear.

Many of planes and helicopters took off the aircraft carriers, carrying marines and paratroopers. The rest of the troops boarded the landing crafts. The coast was now very close, only 30 kilometers or so away. The soldiers began loading their rifles and preparing for combat...

Sergeant Herman Sino stood up from his seat, clutching his weapon tightly. The red light glowed indicating that the plane had reached its designated drop zone. He gestured to his squad to stand up. Some of them were new recruits, some of them had seen action. He was tasked to lead this unit into defending Limerick from a suspected government attack, before waging a counter-attack. That may seem difficult with a handful of freshmen and veterans, but for him it was another walk in the park. A great roar echoed throughout the cabin. Sino looked through the porthole. Another C-47 was flying beside theirs, it's engine ablaze. That sent a shiver down his spine.

"Okay, it's go time, sarge!" The pilot said from the cockpit.

"Alright, Falcons, stand up!" He shouted over the sound of the plane's propeller engines. "Hook up!" The troops hooked their cords onto the railing over their heads. Sino moved over to the open door. A dozen similar planes were flying close by, preparing to drop 3,580 paratroopers, hundreds of light tanks, and mortars. He turned back to his unit. The red light now turned green. It was time to jump. "That's the sign! Go, go, go!" The sergeant watched as his men jumped off the plane and dived into the ground. A few seconds in, now it was time for him to jump. He took a deep breath, and jumped.

It had only been a few hours since Welcomzia's first wave of troops landed on the beach of the coast of Cork. General Hans was in the middle of intense discussion about tactics with General Svenson, when a young soldier came into the room. "Sir they're are enemy troops landed on the beach!" "How many?" "Only about 200 strong". General Hans looked outside and recognized the uniforms of the Grand Duchy of Nova Capile. He grinned. "General Svenson, you prepare the troops, I'll get General Falk to prepare the tanks, I'll tell you when to fire". "Lets blow these guys to smithereens".

After only a few minutes, the troops and tanks had been prepared efficiently for battle. "Are you ready for battle!!" Hans called out on his loudspeaker, "then let's do this, ATTACK!!!"
